Sammuel stood on the top of the towns church, the highest point in the city. Darkness seemed to surround him , the moon was ghostly pale light behind him. Sammuel smiled and jumped off the building, landing silently against the stone.
The Stalker had seen something strange. Something that has Sammuel interested. Blending with the shadows. Sammuel walked towards the housing, steet lights flickered and dimmed when he walked by, some even went out.
There was a loud cracking, as if someone had punched through wood. Immediately Sammuel could smell blood, it filled his lungs, making the Boogeyman restless. It wanted out.
The Boogeyman turned the corner and saw the remains of a man, his body was no longer whole. Sammuel looked up from the body to see down the street and saw a shadow leave. Sammuel walked forward, he could feel the man under his boot. Blood splattered against the wall as he stepped upon an eye.
The Stalker had been following a creature that lived on the city streets. Usually the Stalker would report directly to the Family but he knew what Sammuel was planning and decided to let him handle the problem. Sammuel turned the corner and saw a little girl walking, her back to him. Sammuel smiled, tilting his head.
"Hello dear, I must say. You sure did leave quite a mess back there."
Eve was just heading back to her temporary resting after achieving her latest kill. Darkness covered the walls around her and rays of moonlights showed the brown bloodstains of past events. It was a warm night for her tonight.
After hearing a voice from behind, Eve is confused about why would someone be out this late. However there was another problem, there was a witness.
'Someone saw us!' thought an aggravate Spellie.
'That is gonna be a problem, don't worry that is what the mask is for', Evie thought back.
'I hate the cheering Evie, let's just fix the problem and head back. You still need sleep little one' Biggie thought.
Eve slowly rotated her body towards the speaker. Her cloak bending her small frame in darkness where only the rays of moonlight and whatever street lights are left. She started noticing a tall man with no hair and tattoos on the majority of his body.
"Hi there mister! Whatever mess I did should already be cleaned up so I don't really know what kind you are talking about?" Hummed Eve.
Eve then started skipping towards the man, however stopping two metres in front and stared at him with a carefree smile.
'We've made our move tattoo man. What will you respond with?' both Demons thought, glaring at him from Eve's personal shadow from the moon's rays.
Sammuel smiled. He could feel more than one presence, this however did not bother him.
"Hmm, I don't like liars." Sammuel said crouching to her level. "We both know that you couldn't have done that all by yourself. No, that wound be ridiculous." Sammuel reached up and patted her head, then rested it back on his knees. "Now, your a smart girl. I suggest you think your next move wisely."
'WAS THAT A THREAT?!' Biggie Yelled out in her mind, making Eve flinch a bit, hopefully the man didnt notice it.
'Why did he pat my head? What's this feeling?' Eve thought in shock and her eyes opened.
The child stared up and started to frown but then smiled again.
"F-fine I didn't do that by myself, I have friends that protect me! Now back away or I might do what I've done before be done to you too." Eve replied.
Eve started to back away a little bit, feeling intimitated by the tattooed man.
Sammuel stood laughing. It started out quiet, then became louder, a low but sharp crackle. Sammuel suddenly stopped and looked back down at the girl.
"I don't want to hurt you. That's not why I'm here. Your alone aren't you, even with your friends around. I'm here to give you a chance to be with me." Sammuel leaned against the wall. "But it's you who gets to decided if you want to go easy or hard."
"You...don't want to hurt me? You...want me to be with you??" Eve murmered aloud. She is confused, the temporary warmth she felt in her last kill came back.
'I sense he is telling the truth Eve, as powerful as we are, even I don't believe that we will forever be able to protect you', thought Spellie.
'I still think he is threatening you. Fine lets give him a shot', Biggie thought still distrustful of this stranger, 'But i will come out if he makes the wrong move.'
Slowly, Eve brings out her small hand, and held it midair waiting for the man's response.
Slowly, Eve spoke cautiously," My name is Eve, the Child with Two Demon Guardians. What is your? Mr Tattoo man"?
Eve doesn't know this, but two shadows created the look of Biggie and Spellie behind Eve, staring at the stranger to see his response.
"I'm the Boogeyman." Sammuel grinned and shook her hand, not really caring about the two shadows behind her. "Welcome to the Family. I'm sure Father would like to meet you, though I think Sister would be more interested."
He turned and started down the street. He paused and looked back. "Come, now. You'll have to listen to what I ask if you, but it'll be easy things. And I'm sure your Demons wouln'td mind either."
The shadows of Spellie and Biggie receded into Eve's own without Eve knowing and Eve just nodded while smiling towards the boogeyman.
They left the city, following a small path. The trees seemed to reach out with black inky hands, the moon light causing an eerie light across the deserted path. There was low howl and the sound of running feet. Sammuel stopped and looked at the girl.
"This is an easy job, right?" He said and jumped up, vanishing within the trees, leaving the girl behind as large direwolves came from the trees, blocking the path.
As the large direwolves bundles towards eve in flashes of grey and black, howling and growling presenting their hunger and anger, an enormous deep blue fist arose from the shadows and struck.
The direwolves were next seen either flying through the air and smashing into the trees with large cracks of their bones, or being flattened with their insides spraying outwards in an orgy of blood, guts and gore.
Eve hasn't move or said a word...that was until her next words caused another demonic being to arise and finish the job.
"Burn them to ashes," Eve whispered.
Spellie and his grey skin shined under the moonlight's rays and hovering over his left palm was the hellfire seeking to destroy and burn.
With this fire, he launched waves of fire and balls of fire against those who opposed his keeper turning the direwolves into ashe and leaving the rest to run.
They wouldve succeeded fleeing, however, another dark blue first arrived and either flattened the rest or Spellie conjured more fire and use his lightning powers to strike, making more direwolves burn or cause death by the hundreds of thousand volts of electricity flowing through them.
After, Spellie went back to the shadows and Eve looked at the Boogeyman for approval.
"As I thought." Sammuel said, coming from behind the girl. "You rely to much on your demons, I would have expected them to at least teach you something rather having you being useless."
Sammuel stood a distance from her, stretching his muscles. "A holy man could easily walk up to you, put up a demon ward, and kill you without flinching. You'll be nothing but a defenseless child who can only cry."
Sammuel took a fighting stance, glaring at the girl. "Attack me. Your demons are not allowed to touch or harm me in anyway. Let's see if your worth my time."
Both demons stood back as Eve plays her part of the show.
At first she would do nothing but wait as her opponent primed himself. Next she starts to walk towards them. Slowly, looking innocent, smiling and her twinkling eyes wide open to lower opponent's guard.
As soon as Eve is close to her target and with quick and large killing intent rising, she twirls to the right and as fast as a snake strike, she quickly pulls out her trusty, bloodstained knife from under her cloak, fully rotating her body and strikes out towards the Boogeyman's neck but aims to miss as her arm flies out of the neck's way only to lay the sharp edge on the neck's skin.
Eyes turning from bright grey to dark red, she frowns then does a huge smile like a mania showing her once blunt teeth turn into spikes like a demon or resembling a snake's piercing fangs.
"I am not just a little girl you know," Eve whispered, "Demons cannot teach a normal girl like me magic, but that doesn't mean I'm not smart to find a way to kill if needed to."
The Demons just watch while keeping a lookout. However they did smirk at the actions of their keeper.
'An innocent looking child...but strikes like an unseen snake,' both demons thought.
Sammuel waited for the girl and let her show off. She had her knife at his neck but he could easily take it away from her. So he did.
An arm shot out of his back grabbing the arm, lifting the girl into the air. Another one wrapped itself around her wrist, snapped it, and slithered back to Sammuel, taking the knife with it. The Boogeyman man smiled, Eve's knife in his hands, and flung the girl. He repositioned himself and waited for her next attack, the extra arms no longer there. Just the man.
Eve flew in the and tumbled along the ground from the force the Boogeyman's throw. When it stopped, Eve barely got herself into a kneeling position, cradling her snapped wrist into her chest and glaring at the man with hatred.
She made no other movements, but deep down she knew the Boogeyman was right, she didn't know much and now she was defenseless.
She looked down in defeat and felt hate and fear towards her opponent. She didn't make another move.
Meanwhile, her guardians made no attempt to move than to position themselves on Eve's left and right sides. They weren't surprised that she lost, she had not experienced this type of enemy and her trump move was lost to her.
"Is that it?" Sammuel inquired, tilting his head. "What a shame. But at least I know you not completely useless. From now on you will train, doesn't matter who or even if you kill them. Until you can draw blood on me, you'll be put through hell and back."
The Boogyman turned and started back down the path. "I'm not going to wait for you, so I suggest you fix that hand and catch up, we have some walking to do."
The Demons receded back into Eve's shadow.
The Boogeyman must have made fun of her since she had no way to patch up her hand. Nevertheless, Eve just followed the figure leading her away while cradling her hand and holding in the pain she felt emotionally and physically...
After awhile the Boogeyman stopped at a crossroads. He looked back at the girl.
"I'm assuming that you need to eat or something." He said flatly, noticing her crattled hand. What an idoit. Sammul crossed his arms, frowning. "I figured someone who lived on the street would have known how to at least bandage an injury untill there is a professional."
Sammuel walked over to a tree, and pulled out his sword, cutting an branch off. He snapped it into two and pulled out an ild cloth. He ripped it into a strip and bent down.The Boogeyman didn't even wait for Eve to respond before he took her wrist sharply and put it back into place, the bone popping. He then placed the two stick halves on either said and wrapped it up.
"First off, nothing is off limits. Don't be so pathetic, use what you got." Sammuel reached down and grabbed the collar of her dress, dragging her behind the trees. The sound of a horse hooves beated down the path. "For example, I don't have e food, but I bet this guy does."
Sammuel stepped out if the trees, cutting down the horse with one strike. The man that rid it went flying and skidded to a stop. The man stood up quickly, and tried to run, looking frantically for a weapon. Sammuel didn't even hesitate putting his sword through the man. The Boogeyman laughed in glee as the man choked on his own blood.
"Goodnight." Said Sammuel and he snapped the man neck, pulling his sword out. He turned back to the girl. "Fi d what you need, then we'll continue."
Eve scrummaged through the dead body, ignoring the feelings of hurt and agner that a 7 year old shouldn't have. Going throught the corpse's belongings, she found food consisting of fruits and bread.
She placed it them in a bag that was strapped to the dead horse and carried it like a backpack. Munching on the bread, she turned to look at the Boogeyman, waiting for further instructions.
Sammuel watched her for a second before he continued to walk.
"Once we reach Home, one of the Children will help you with your room. Don't be afraid of showing your power, seeing how you are one of the few who are worthy of living, those who aren't as worthy should be put in their place. After your settled and healed, we'll see the Family."
"The Family is the most powerful people there, even more so than me. They are to be respected, loved, and feared. Dont get on their bad side. They can do more to you than you think. Father is head, then it's Sister and Brother. Mother is a goddess and we her children. Whatever she's asks, we do."
"We are all cloaked in her love, each Child is special to her and she loves each one equally. After meeting the Family, and they accept you as a Child, then we will go to the Night Mother and have her notice you as her child. And it'll be painful, but afterwards she'll protect and love you till you die."
"After all of that, we will train. See what your good at, and what you are not. We'll go easy first, see what your limit is. Then we'll push so you break that barrier. Understood?" The Boogeyman asked, looking back at the young girl.
Eve finished the rest of the bread as she listened while they walked. While a bit confused at the word love, she didn't express it.
All Eve could say was the reply of, "Understood".
The rest of the journey was simple, though Sammuel did not stop for any rests. Soon they were climbing up the mountain side, a nice breeze moved across the warm rocks. When the two reached the top, a Child was there to greet then, a large cave with red ancient ruins in an arch above it. The Child bowed, wearing a black and red cloak that covered his face.
"Hello, Cleansed One." He said still bowed, "We have been expecting you. Is the girl here."
Sammuel towered over the man but never looked at him. "Yes. She is to see a medic and cleaned properly, the Family would be disgusted to see how much filth is on her."
"Of course, Cleansed One. We will do it right away."
"Have her brought to the Family Room. I will be waiting there." Sammuel walked inside, the darkness seemed to eat him. Two more Children, both women, came out. The man gave the two a brefing before heading inside. One of the lady's bent down and smiled at Eve.
"Come, dear. Father would like to see you. Let's go make you pretty, ok?" She stood and held out her, waiting for the girl to take it.
Eve looked towards the area where the Boogeyman disappeared at before placing her own hand on the hand being held out towards her. She was still cautious about the new area she was in, placing a bit of trust in the two ladies.
"If it's okay, I would like to wear similar clothing to the one I am wearing now," Eve voiced,"I am not used to any other clothing..."
She just waited for the other woman's reply while following her lead into one of the rooms.
The women smiled, as they stepped into the cold cave, tourches lit the stone path. "Of course, dear. Though we don't have any clothes other than the standard, so why don't we wash that and have you wear something else while it dries." The cave turned into cut stone and soon opened up to a large room. Children trained against each other, many were praying at a large statue in the center of the room.
It was of a woman, a ribbon was tied around her eyes, a bundle of cloth was in her arms as a shape of a child with horns, around her feet was two figures, a man and woman. The woman was standing on their backs, the two figures had their hands clasped together. "This way." Said the Child. Down another hall was a medic who healed Eve's wrist and then led her to the washroom

Sammuel stood in the Family Room, waiting for the girl. The Night Father was sitting back quietly listening to one of the Children raddle off some of the Night Mother's Creed connections. The Night Sister was doing most if the talking, sometimes Brother would butt in and disagree with her. It usually ended with Sister winning. Sammuel felt his eye twitch, he was getting irritated. He didn't like waiting.
"EEP!" cried out a surprised Eve as a bucket of water was poured over her bare and small body.
Shivering, she lets the other women wash her hair and body. Lightly moaning in relief and relaxing at their soft hands gently cleaning her body and massaging her hair.
Seems the the women washing Eve were laughing at her adorableness and responses to the bath. It wasn't long before Eve was dressed in a small black dress that fits her small body and frame, and being sent off to meet the Boogeyman and the Night Family...
Slowly entering the chamber, slight fear and respect shivered through her as she felt the power and might of the family. The Night Family seemed to cease all speaking and stared at the girl, making Eve slowly kneeled, hoping that the kneeling action would show some satisfaction in their eyes while spotting the Boogeyman near them.
Sammuel watched as the girl kneeled. Well, as long as she knows their power. The Night Father nodded in approval and sat up, waving the Boogeyman over.
"We had received some information that you had received a new Child. Is this she?" He asked, nodding to Eve.
"Yes. I had found her in one of the smaller towns. She was-"
"Stand, girl." Said the Night Father interrupting Sammuel, making him clench his teeth and glared ahead. "Of what is your power? What makes the Boogeyman so interested in you."
"It is partially unknown to me why the Boogeyman is interested me, however if it is my power you seek to see...then it shall be seen," Eve responded.
Her next cause of action is to flick her fingers to make the snap sound.
SNAP
From the uneven stone grounds and shadows by the small light, yonder and behold the two demons of which Eve released and control/partner. Slowly rising, Spellie kneels next to Eve's left holding a ball of fire on his left palm while grasping on a lightning shaped and created staff. However, Biggie was not that...sensible...rising quicker than Spellie, fists out of the shadows first and followed by the rest of his body, he slams his left fist onto the right side of his chest and kneels behind Eve's right, glaring towards the onlookers but the Boogeyman specifically.
Yea, Biggie might still be mad and have a grudge on the Boogeyman for snapping his keeper's wrist. Oh well, Eve cannot control how they acted anyways. This is just for show.
"However, I do control some powers of demoncraft..." Eve spoke again, giving time to let her...future family sink in the information that Eve 'controls' demons at the age of 7.
The Night Brother huffed, placing his chin in his hand. Night Sister smiled and started to clap.
"Wonderful! We have very few demons, even fewer who can control them." She said and turned to Father. "She is splendid. Can we keep her?"
Sammuel turned stiff. The last he needed was for Sister to take his prize away. The Night Father squinted at the two. demons
"Names. Where you hail. Give me more than just showing off. I need more information." The Night Father said, watching Eve closely. Sammuel couldn't tell what he was planning, it is very hard to read the Night Father. One can never trust the look on his face.
Eve answered truthfully to all those questions.
"My name is Eve. I don't have a last name since I've hated it and forgotten it. I come from a village located in the Northern region of Serendipity. My age is currently 7, parents murdered by my demons and I. Residence either in the trees or abandoned animals dens. Killed to survive. My only belongings are the clothes I brought and a knife which the Boogeyman currently holds."
"My name is Spellie. My mistress gave me this name when she was a lot younger and unintelligent. *cue the cute and adorable face of Eve pouting* She released me and Biggie, the other demon, from our prison. I control the powers of fire and lightning while Biggie just uses brute strength." Spellie clarified.
Hmph, the name is Biggie, one of the demon guardians of Eve. My greatest power and weapon is my strength and durability against physical weaponry." Biggie reluctantly stated.
The Father thought about it. He than raised his hand. "Release the Mauthe Dogs. I want to see then in action."
As a Child walked over to a large gate, Sammuel walked over to Eve, ignoring the two demons. He pulled out her kinfe and gave it to her. He smiled wickedly, something that looked wrong on his face, and took a step back.
Black arms shot out of his back, weaving a ring around the girl. It was high enough so one could not escape, but the Family could still see. The arms stretched all the way to the gate, which opened.
Four large dogs stepped out. Their bodies were almost see through, as if they were of a ghostly mist. One bent it's head down, smelling the air and howled. All four of them charged the girl and her guardians.
Eve thought, 'They're fast.
As the dogs rushed towards what they think is the slowest and weakest link, Biggie rushed to block their path in front of Eve and stopping their rush. Biggie smashed his fist into the ground in front of him, aiming to take them all out. This was futile as their speed got them out of the demon's range and so split into groups of two to surround Eve and her demonic guardians.
However, Spellie used his control of fire to make trap them in a circle of fire making a small path to Eve with Biggie standing in her way. Slowly, the walls of fire started to enclose the Maude Dogs, making them run towards Eve. Two of them were smashed into the barrier/ring created by the Boogeyman and were downed, another suffered major burns from being in flames and electrocuted by Spellie's lightning spell cast.
With courage, stupidity and desperation, the last Maude dog ran past the two demons and leaped towards Eve, hoping to trap her underneath and rip it's teeth into her throat. That didn't happen, showcasing her own speed and some skill with a knife, Eve rush and dived towards the ground underneath the dog as it is still in the air.
Pointing her trusty knife and stabbing the Maude Dog in the air, using whatever strength she had, she pulled the knife along it's body before pointing the knife towards the ground. As the last dog landed it fell onto it's side, showcasing the blood, intestines and lungs that slid out like horror scene.
Blood dripped from Eve's knife onto the ground, her face was partially covered with it as well on her left cheek, facial expression was normal as if it was a regular occurrence.
Meanwhile with the two demon...
'Hehehe you misses every single one of them with your first attack. Yet I still killed two,'thought Spellie teasingly.
'Shut it,' Biggie replied back, openly glaring at his other demonic companion.
Sammuel retracted his arms, multiple Children came out and lifted the Mauthe Dogs and left the room. The Family didn't seem really that surprised, but it was clear that they had enjoyed it somewhat.
"Well done, girl. I can see that you'll be a nice addition among the Night Mother's Children." Said Father, nodding. Sister stopped one of the Children, holding out a glass, which the Child filled with some of the blood and gave it back to her. Father then stood up, Sister and Brother did as well.
"The Boogeyman is now your mentor. What he says goes untill he deems you worthy if his release. For now, go see the Night Mother. She will want to meet her new Child." Brother said, as he stepped down from his throne, the rest following, and went behind the thrones.
Sammuel walked to the door, which opened for him by Children. Sammuel looked over his shoulders to Eve, making sure she was following, then continued to another room. The door was iron, and inside was dimly lit, the stone had blood stains and a miniature version of the Night Mother statue sat at an alter.
"Here, the Night Mother will accept you. As I said before it'll be painful, but it will be quick and will feel weak but good usually food helps." Sammuel said, looking down at Eve. A Child walked up holding a knife and presented it to Eve. "You will use that to make a blood sacrifice to the Night Mother. She will then speak to you. For each person it is different. She could ask about your greatest fear or your deepest desire. How you answer will determine your... importance to the Creed. This will determine your knowledge if the Creed and what missions you carry out. Your brand will show up upon your forehead, though not permit, just long enough to mark it down. Hurry and take the knife. I don't like waiting."
Grasping the knife to not anger to her now mentor, she looked at the palm of her right hand before hovering the knife over it.
Hesitantly, Eve's right hand gripped the knife before pulling out with a wince of pain.
Drip drip drip. Those were the only sounds that can be heard within the room besides Eve's short and fast breathes to distract the pain and blood slowly drips on the cold hard floor.
Seeing the statue glow a bit in her eyes, a bright light was all she saw before she a woman opposite her, likely to be the one called Night Mother. Eve waited patiently for her to ask the questions.
The woman's hair was black as night, her dress flowed like water against the stars. Her eyes were a light purple, and they watched the girl closely.
"To of which do you fear? What nightmare plages your dreams, my daughter?"Her voice was soothing, reassuring and trustworthy, as if her voice itself was a spell.
Eve definitely knew how to answer this. She had nightmares many times of what she feared.
"I fear of being alone. I fear of being without a family and being taken away from my guardians. At night, my nightmares haunt me, seeking to show me that fear and portraying the results that haunt my mind. My nightmares show me...my past of neglection, hate and pain. I just wish to be loved, Night Mother," Eve spoke softely feeling affected by the sound of her voice, making her spill out the feelings she kept inside of her.
What made this Night Mother so...so like a real mother, but Eve wouldn't know the answer to that. She only knew the beglect and beatings of her parents. Never parental love.
The Night Mother walked over to Eve, placing a hand upon the girls face, stroking her.
"That is a fear most men feel. But it is one that will haunt you for the rest of your life, but you can use it to your advantage." The Night Mother moved her hand over Eve's forehead."But you'll be the guardian, protecting that if which you deserve."
There was a flash of light and the Mother was gone. Sammuel stepped forward, waiting for Eve to feel the pain.
As the flash of light ended, Eve looked around to see Sammuel walking from the position he and the other child stood before.
'Did time stop when I was communicating and the bright light appeared? Or was it all in my mind,' Eve thought before clenching her fists from feeling some irritation on her forhead before it stopped after a few seconds.
Facing the bloodied knife on its side, Eve saw some kind of black mark on her forehead from the reflection of the clear red liquid. Lowering the knife, Eve stared back at the stature before walking towards the Boogeyman and handing the knife towards him, handle in front first.
Sammuel took, someone else took Eve's hand and healed it. The Boogeyman handed the kife, not even looking to who he have it to and looked at Eve's head. It was a simple rune, looked like a cresent moon with a bird's clae in the center.
"Defender..." Sammuel mumbled, he then stood up straight and started to walk away. "Now we eat. After that..." He looked back at Eve. "Sleep."
Eve's stomach at the sound being able to eat. She hasnt eaten anything since Sammuel found her in the town, so she was already weak from low energy.
Eve nodded slowly at Sammuel's suggestion and followed him to wherever he leads her to.
Sammuel walked down a hall, it was clearly the residents area, some of the doors that were open had beds and dressers inside. Sammuel walked to the end if the hall and opened a door.
The room had a small round table in the center, an area rug was underneath it, two cupboards were against the wall full of wooden cups, plates, and bowls, along with flour and other food items.
There were three other halls, all dark and were empty. Sammuel sat down, he looked unnatural, ridged. Suddenly more Children came in carrying plates of food and set them all down. They left and Sammuel poured him some wine and sipped it silently.
Looking at the food with wide eyes, couldn't remember any other time she saw this much food.
Grabbing a already seperated drumstick of a fried chicken, she munched on with gusto, stuffing few cucumber pieces in her mouth, moaning in delight at the taste.
She could hear a chuckle from her company but ignored it, as she swallowed and was about to drink water, Spellie spoke to her.
'We are being watched and its not the Boogeyman.'
She moved her head to the entrance of this room to see another figure walk in.
"Night sister?" Eve whispered.
The Night sister seemed to walk in and pat Eve softely on her head before moving her fingers in Eve's long dark hair, making her freeze at this type of affection just like what Sammuel did when he found her.
Eve just brought the glass cup up to her lips as she was being petted. Staring at the Boogeyman at what to do.
Sammuel narrowed his eyes, watching the Night Sister closely. She normally didn't come down here, she thinks to highly of herself to be here, so she clearly wanted something.
"And I suppose that you need something? I mean, as pleasant as it is to see you," he said sarcastically, "I know how you work."
Sammuel could feel the Boogeyman stirring inside of him, but he knew better. So did the Boogeyman. We need to talk...
The Night Sister only smirked at Sammuel.
" Why can't I just come in to see the new Child Sammy?" The Night Sister smirked at the accusation.
Stooping her petting, she bent down and placed her head on Eve's left shoulder, smelling her scent.
Eve froze even longer at the contact.
"You smell beautiful little Eve, I was disappointed to hear that Sammy is going to be your mentor," whispered the Night Sister.
Eve didn't say nothing, but nodding as she speaks to not be disrespectful.
The Night Sister only smiled at her and took Eve's hand to hold to herself.
"If only I can persuade father to keep you to myself," she dramatically cried out but then stared at Sammuel to smirk at him.
Sammuel could feel his eye twitch. It was hard to keep his composer. The more and more the Night Sister talked the more and more he could feel the need to kill the little-
"The Night Father spoke. Now let her go. She is mine, and I preferred if you kept your nast-"
There was a rush. The Night Sister suddenly had Sammuel pinned against the wall, holding him up by his throat. Her eyes were red, fangs showed as she hissed in his face.
"I dare you to finish that." She said. Sammuel closed his mouth but hus face was red with anger, and his hands shook. Get rid of her! I don't care what you do, just do it...
Eve could do nothing but watch, staring in shock at how strong the Night Sister is and she thought the Boogeyman was powerful already.
Jumping off her seat without thinking, she ran towards the two and gently grabbed the clothing of the Night sister and gently pulling it to get her attention.
"P-please let him go," Eve whispered, trying to make her face as 'cute' as she can with teary eyes and pouting lips.
She doesn't know why, but even though she like the Night Sister's attention, she still wants Sammuel to teach her.
Sister looked down at Eve and smiled, her eyes turning back to it's original color. Slowly she let Sammuel down and placed her hands on Eve's shoulder, turning so she was behind her.
"Hmm, your so precious little Eve. I could just eat you up!"
"Ah, Night Sister, there you are. I've been sent to get you!" Sammuel and the Night Sister both looked over to the door. A black cat with a white spot in its chest was sitting in the door, looking like she enjoyed the situation in front of her. "The Night Father and Brother need you. They said something about someone killing then taking dragon's breath. It sounded very important."
The Night Sister quickly let go of Eve, pausing to look longingly at her, then rushed out of the room, her dress flowing behind her. After awhile Sammuel spoke.
"You! You shall not speak about what I do! I swear that one of these days I will kill-"
"Yada yada, blah blah blah." The cat said walking inside and jumping on top a chair, licking her paw. "I just saved your ass. Your welcome." She looked at Eve. "Oh, you are cute! Hello dear, I'm Aileen. I'm the one that found you."
Staring at the talking cat that was named Aileen the staring at The boogeyman, then back to the cat.
"Talking cat!" Eve exclaimed pointing at Aileen, then pointing at Sammuel, " She doesn't listen to you! Wow."
Then she remembered the Night Sister and her affections towards her.
"Why does the Night Sister like me? Is it because I'm cute?" Eve questioned, mainly to Aileen since she said that Eve was cute as well.
Pointing to Sammuel again,
"Why are you an ass? Why did Aileen say that," Eve questioned tilting her head.
Sammuel growled, his eye twitching again and sat down, lifting his glass up and draning it all. Aileen purres, which sounded like a laugh as she jumped into Sammuel's lap.
"He just mad that he can't kill me. Strict order not to." She said, teasingly wiping her tail into Sammuel's face, which resulted with him pushing her off his lap. She purred and and walked up to Eve, rubbing her face against her legs.
"As for the Nigh Sister, she's manipulative. A real bit- witch." Aileen said, catching herself as Sammuel scoffed at her. Aileen glared at him and went back to talking. "She is a Grand Vampire, in fact it is said that the Night Mother blessed her to be so. If she has interest in you, then it's not good. I highly suggest that you watch yourself around her. She can become... possessive."
Tilting her head, only heard that possessions are loved so why is that bad? She wanted to be loved in the first place thats why she followed the Boogeyman to look for it.
Eve wasn't afraid to express her confusion, also explaining to Aileen that Sammuel snapped her wrist when she was tested.
Also Eve bent down to hug the cat and softely picking her up and petting her behind the ears and back
"And I can break more." Sammuel growled glaring at the girl. Aileen hissed at him, making Sammuel to look back at his drink. Aileen sighed and started to purr as Eve pettes her.
"Unfortunately you will break more bone." She said, leaning into the girls hand. "And will probably have scars, but don't worry, there will be people to love you. So don't be discouraged about getting hurt, Sammuel's lessons are harsh but that was how he was taught."
"He came here when he was a little bit older than you. We didn't have alot of members then, so Sammuel was personally taught by the Night Father. In his six years of training, Sammuel broke a total of 315 bones in that time frame, there were days he couldn't move. And sometimes the Night Father wouldn't even let the healers do there job and fix him, and still made him fight till he couldn't move. I remember one day-"
"I didn't give you permission to tell my life story." Sammuel said standing up and towering over the two.
"Whatever, it's not like you can hurt me for it." Aileen said, rolling her purple eyes.
"No, but I can hurt Eve, and I know you don't want that." Sammuel said, grinning.
Aileen growled and opened her mouth to say something before she froze, her eye twitching. She wiggled out of the girls arms and landed on her feet running to the door.
"Sorry, duty calls. Chin up kiddo, remember don't get discouraged, you'll always have a friend here." She looked at Sammuel. "Sammy" she said, teasingly and left the two alone.
Did you forget about me...
Shut up. Sammuel thought and looked back at Eve. "You ate, now you sleep." He said, placing his hand on her shoulder and guiding her down one of the halls. He opened a random door and let her go. "You'll sleep here. No one else lives here so you'll be fine. I sleep down the hall, last door. Don't bother me." Sammuel said, grabbing the door and closing it, then he walked to his own room and shut the door behind him.
Staring around the dark room, the walls had minimal lightight from old oiled lanterns with candles in them, the back wall had a reasonably comfortable bed and a small wardrobe and study desk next to it.
Deciding that she had a rough day, she collapsed onto the bed, but not without Spellie rising from her shadows and faced directly at the door to keep watch.
Sammuel sat down on his bed, crossing his legs. He closed his eyes. They opened again, except he wasn't in his room anymore. Or at least his soul wasn't, his body was till in the mortal world. Sammuel stormed over to the small bar in the large black room and pulled out some wiskey, drinking it out of the bottle.
'You should slow down on that stuff.' A voice said in the dark.
"It can't even affect me in here." Sammuel grumbled walking over to the only other pice of furniture in here, a red, plushed chair. Sammuel flopped down and sighed. The room seemed to get smaller as the darkness moved in closer. A black shadow came forth, it glided across the bleck floor and stopped behind Sammuel.
"What did you want to talk about?"
'You allies are... questionable.'
"Like your one to talk. Besides, I can't talk about this to everyone, someone will get caught and they will crack."
'What of your Mentee...
Sammuel looked up at the Boogeyman and scoffed, taking another swing.
"She's not even that strong. But I'll shape her yet."
'She will fail.'
"She will become strong. Do you not trust me?'
'No one should ever trust you...
Groaning, Eve started to awake from her comfortable slumber, however like almost all beings, she doesn't want to get up from her comfortableness.
So to be half awake and half comfortable, Eve just sits up with the blanket wrapped around her small body and sat staring at the back of Spellie waiting for something to happen.
'The Boogeyman's story was sad, maybe we aren't really that different...I can't wait to give him a surprise!' Eve planned in her head in excitement.
KNOCK KNOCK, CREAKK
The door opened after the knocks and then came a voice.
"Oh Eve!! Big Sis is here, you were so cute when pulling on my clothing so I wanted to see you without little Sammy," a voice said.
...The Night Sister...
"... is there anything else?" Sammuel huffed, defending against the black shadow.
'No, but we could discuss more later.' it said, an arm reaching out and snapping at Sammuel. He turned and grabbed it, holding on to it with both his arms around it. The shadow lifted Sammuel up and threw him across the room.
Sammuel stood, breathing hard, the Boogeyman rose in height, towering over him. It suddenly cane down like a wave, Sammuel bearly had time to raise his arms above his head to protect himself.
BAM
Both froze, Sammuel looked up, listening closely. The Boogeyman lowered back to his size.
'Sounded like a door.' it said, shifting around Sammuel. 'I feel great power... Night Sister...' it whispered. Sammuel turned ridged and closed his eyes. When he opened them, he was back in his room, loud sounds came from down the hall...
The door was pushed with such a great force, it slammed into the rock walls but was sturdy enough that it didn't break.
Spellie disappeared back, not going back to Eve's shadow, but staying underneath one of the high lanters to disappear from view.
Eve jumped slightly, slowly rubbing her eyes and yawning after seeing the Night Sister. This only made her gush and ran towards Eve.
"Ahh you are so adorable, no doubt Sammy and that cat told you about me," Night Sister beagged proudly and comedically puffed out her chest.
She climbed onto the bed and sat behind Eve, grabbing Eve's waist and pulling her to her chest and in her lap. She then started to pet her hair, and caressed Eve's cheek in a motherly way, making Eve lean into the touch.
Eve did not know what to do, but she loved the affections the Night Sister gave her. Then she froze, feeling the Sister's face on her neck as she inhaled Eve's scent deeply while hugging Eve closer.
Sammuel stood up and walked over to his door. It flew open, ribbed off the hedges, and laid on its side in the hall way.
As soon as he stepped out into the hall, all the tourches went out, sending it all into darkness. Everything seemed too quite. The door to Eve's room was ripped off and thrown into the darkness.
Slowly Sammuel stepped into her room, black arms swirled around him. Surprisingly, he looked calm, but it was his arms that looked out of control. They crawled across the walls, some fell to the floor and slitheres under the bed. It was ones true nightmare.
"Night Sister. I shall ask you once to leave her alone. You can not have control over this one." He said
Both girls look up at the stranger in relief and annoyance, the latter belonged to the Night Sister.
"What is this now? Losing control of your powers dear Sammy? You already have your...cat. why can't I have this young one to myself?" The Night Sister questioned, getting off the bed after giving Eve a nuzzle with her head.
Eve just stayed seated upon the bed, just thinking how close the Night Sister was to claiming her whether she wanted it or nor
"If I remember correctly, it was you who kept Aileen then abandoned her when you become the Night Sister. If anything, I wouldn't mind killing her but it was you who ordered that I was not to harm her. The Night Father has given me Eve, and if you do not kept off her then I will personally report this." Sammuel walked up to the Night Sister leaning in towards her ear, whispering. "And you know that won't end well for you."
He walked back, and the black arms moved, creating a passage way for the Night Sister to all through.
