Physical Description
Nevira is a massive Novian dragon that soars 30 meters tall, and has a wingspan of 60 meters across. Her scales are a dark black color, while her wings are a tattered grey. Her underbelly scales however fade to a dark violet color, in contrast with her eyes. The dragon's eyes are a dark purple color, and contain a black, skinny, long diamond shaped pupil that can expand at will. The Novian has four legs, and two large wings. On each leg, she has five clawed toes. On each wing, the bone connecting the the dragon's wings together has two large curved claws. Her back has many scales protruding outwards that give a spinal defense look. She has a long snout, with a smaller, jagged horn at the tip, above the nostrils.

Image removed. Please read our art usage policy. Thank you!

Personality
Arrogant, proud, and destructive are the best three words that sum up Nevira's personality. She is a strong believer in Dragon superiority, and believes any species not dragon related is considered lesser. Not only that, but she has a strong hatred towards humans more so than others. Mostly because an alliance of strong mages had ruined her goals, and had sealed her away for many centuries. A Human being responsible for her sentence. Because of her views on the "Lesser Species" she had committed a massive destructive genocide on civilizations during her golden ages. Her power was so great, it took many powerful mages to seal her away. The dragon is very confident in her powers, as it is greater than most of her kin. And can get angered easily. Despite her hate for humans, she does however posses some respect for them if they have the same views as her.

Magic/Abilities
Being a dragon, Nevira has many magical abilities. However, due to her origins, she has many abilities not found in common dragons. Her main element is darkness, and she uses this to great advantage. Often, when attacking ground targets she can create massive clouds of black fog from her wings, blocking out all sunlight. She can breath fire at a very destructive force, and utilizes her darkness abilities to improve her fire's effectiveness, as well as giving it an odd purple color. However, she also has powers of the void. One of her abilities has been called "Void Storm" It creates a massive hurricane like cloud, with a portal to the void at its center. Sucking up anything in the vicinity. She can also manifest orbs of void magic, which upon impact will make whatever it hit cease to exist..

Relationships

Hates non dragon related races.
Hates Humans even more.

History
Not a lot is known about Nevira. It was said many centuries in the past, a Dragon of mighty power terrorized the inhabitants of Adela. The destruction was so great that an alliance of powerful mages were pulled together, both from Adela and other provinces to put a stop to the rebellious dragon's merciless genocide. The battle took place in an unknown location somewhere in the Thunderblacks. It was long and brutal, but the alliance was eventually able to bind the massive creature. Then, a human mage stepped forward, and used forbidden magic to seal the Dragon into the void... The province had been saved, and they had rebuilt much of the destruction left behind by Nevira...

Many centuries passed, and these events had faded from almost all memory. Turning into a legend. A fairy tale. However, one thing not known to the population, and the other mages of the alliance was that the spell used to seal Nevira into the void doesn't last forever... The mage only told their blood of the true nature of the spell. And with each generation, the knowledge was passed down, so that when Nevira returned... The descendant of the mage would hold the power to halt her destruction. For good...

I'm only good at drawing manga, so here's a quick sketch I did of a future character.
I'm planning to ink and color, so the finish product will look ten times better!  ;D

(Still need to figure out how to insert the image onto the site itself XD)

Plotting Center / Concerning Dragons
March 24, 2016, 08:02:04 AM
So, not too long ago I had a pretty good idea for a new character that's currently in the works. I also have a decent plot around them.

Please note, this character will act as the antagonist of this plot, so that just begs the question? Who will be the heroes of this story? I've already got @Wave in on the story, and they'll be using their character Wave to help my character's plans progress.

So here's the basic premis of the plot we have planned so far. It's not much, that's why we posted, to see who's interested in joining to help create the story.

My character (currently in the works) is a powerful, pure blood dragon. The dragon has returned after a looong absence and does not like the state that Adela is in. Using their resources, the will attempt to sway many dragons to join their cause. Thinking dragons are the superior race, and should not be used as mounts for other sentient species. They plan to try and purge the entire provice of any sentient races that aren't dragons, or dragon related (Draconians and such) Of course, there will be many dragons who oppose this, and a dragon civil war would probably break out.

Now this is just the idea of the plot. Wave's involvement in this is still unknown, and we don't have any heroes to play a part. That's why we want to know who's interested in joining our lizard gang! For the good of Adela or the genocide of it! We'd love to get more people involved, and everyone will have their own unique roles to play, by helping us plan further in the story. My character will be up soon if you want more information on them, but for now this is all we have. If you're interested in joining this adventure, please let us know.

(P.S. This May or may not become an event)

Wants and Limits / Legit Violet's Wants and Limits

PLAYER WANTS

What types of plots are you interested in playing?

Anything from epic adventure plots, to romantic encounters!
(Meaning I'm fine with almost anything)

What types of plots are you not interested in playing?

Depends on what characters I have. But for most cases you can see the question above.

How often can you reply to any given thread?

Most of the time I'll probably reply a few times per day, depending on what my day looks like. I can use mobile, however I prefer my computer, so mobile replies may be later then usual.

What is the longest you're willing to wait for a reply to a thread?

If given a reason, I can wait for any amount of time. The most I'll wait for a response before I consider the thread dead without a message would be 1-2 weeks.

Are you open to RPing over instant messengers? If so, what's the best way to contact you and what times are you generally available?

I'd prefer to stick with the forums, but I can tolerate Skype if need be.

Are you open to post volleying?

This largely depends on how my day looks again. Of course, I like getting fast replies, and I will always try and reply as soon as I can.

Anything else?

Violets look Legit.

PLAYER LIMITS

What are you limits regarding powerplay/godmoding?

This depends a lot on which character I'm using. But in most cases I prefer to be given a chance to react before an action is confirmed. Of course, if it seems logical, I won't ignore a punch or grab :)

What are your limits in regards to romantic situations?

I'm all for romantics. I'm fine if characters are already in a relationship that wasn't established through RP, but most of the time it's more entertaining to lay the ground work on the forums.

What are your limits in regards to sex?

If situations between characters get that *close* I'm fine with implying sexual activities happened between them, but I'd rather not play out the details in RP.

What are your limits in regards to pregnancy within plots?

Weird question. I'm fine with that. Not sure why I wouldn't be.

What are your limits in regards to violent scenes?

Be as bloody as you like, I don't have a preference for this one.

What are your limits in regards to abuse/rape in plots?

For rape, same thing with the sexuality event question. I'm fine with it being implied, but I prefer not to play it out.

Are you okay with characters being transformed against their will?

I would ALWAYS like to be asked if someone wants to transform my character. No exceptions.

What about healing?

Same thing as the previous question. If someone is wounded, or has a disability that acts as a large trait to their character, I'd always ask before I attempt to fix anything, as it may impact the character's development.

Anything else?

I like pre-planning a lot! (Specifically events) So PM if you have an interest in any of my characters and wanna get them involved in your plot!

"Argghh! YOU SMUG LITTLE BRAT!" A tall, muscular man yelled angrily as he flipped a rather small table of on its side, snapping one of the legs in the process. His face red with hot anger as his brow swelled. He breathed heavily as he stared at the young pirate who seemed undisturbed by his sudden outburst. She simply sat in the chair across from him with her legs crossed over one another, happily humming a tune to herself as she tossed a pair of yellow dice up and down in her hand .

"I'm sorry, if you're suffering from bad luck, you can always try again." The girl replied with a devilish smile as she revealed her violet eyes. The man stared at her, but his facial expression slightly changed after her words. Something about the calmness in her tone made him slightly uneasy.

"If not, I'm afraid your cargo and coin now belong to me." She said without waiting for the man's response. Opening her lip to show her white grin.

The man's anger quickly returned, and without saying another word he raised his fist in rage, obviously not thinking about what he was doing. He gave a furious yell as he brought his hand down, aimed at the girl's face.

Less then a second later, he was blown back several feet by an unseen force, but everyone in the bar could feel the wind. He crashed heavily into another table, his weight snapping it in half, rendering him unconscious in the process... Everyone stopped and stared at the pirate, and soon the entire bar burst into a fit of laughter as they quickly grasped the situation.

The girl simply stood up, and gave a few swipes to her coat, knocking any dust off. She then held her hand in the air as another pirate came up behind her. "I won the game, cargo an loot be mine now. Y'know the drill. Kill anyone who tries to defend the cargo." She said flatly.

"Aye cap'n Soulscar" he said before editing the bar, two others behind him. At the mention of her name, a few souls looked up surprisingly at the girl... Their faces suggested they had no idea that the pirate known as "Captain Soulscar" was actually a young girl. Most who had heard about her assumed she was male. As it was rare to see the girl off her ship...

Age 24
Gender Female
Species Human
Ethnicity Serenian
Height 5'5
Occupation Pirate (Captain)
Residence Seraph's Requiem (Mythica's Ship)

__________________IN-DEPTH STUFF

Physical Description

(Artwork is of Female Prussia from Hetalia)

Mythica is a young girl with long white hair. She stands at 5 feet tall. She bears distinctive violet eyes and slightly pale caucasian skin. On the top of her left hand is a tattoo looking mark the depicts a grey serpent creature. Mythica also bears a scar on her cheek underneath her right eye. She is usually sporting her long blue trench coat, with a white blouse underneath. As well a navy colored hat, outfitted with a large feather and a rose. She wears a pair of white boots, and black gloves. On her waist she usually has her long silver cutlass.

Personality
Mythica thinks on a basic principle: "Take what you can, give nothing back." As many pirates do. Mythica is not known to be a relatively kind girl despite her usual smile. One word that could best describe Mythica's personality would be Mischievous. The girl is a very skilled actress, capable of playing the facade of an innocent, curious young woman when needed to, but in reality she's a cold hearted pirate. To her, wealth and amusement are the only thing she seeks out. Weather it be through an epic adventure, or a simple pirate duel, the girl is very free spirited. She's a master manipulator when she needs to be, can easily sway others to get to whatever her goal requires. This is mostly because she is very good at reading people based on body language, facial expressions, and the tone of their voices. The girl is very brave for someone of her age, which is one of the main reasons why she has gained so much respect among other pirates. Not only are female pirates rare, but a female captain at her age is virtually unheard of. Mythica can be known to be cruel and unforgiving in some situations, and yet she never seems to care. It doesn't matter who you are, she isn't afraid to cut down those who annoy her. The only people Mythica truly cares for are the members of her crew. She treats them almost like family, and in turn they are almost always happy to be under her lead. This proves that Mythica does have a soft side. Her morals aren't always 100 % based on how much wealth she can attain. The girl can be cruel, such is pirate nature, but she knows the difference between right and wrong. Of course, she hates to admit this, and can get short tempered if anyone makes reference to her kind hearted side. As it may damage her reputation. Not only is she a skilled actress, but she is also quite the naval commander. Mythica is a very clever girl, and this helps her think ways out of situations people don't expect. This makes her a good strategist, and has lead her merry band of pirates on many victorious raids. As for her personal outlooks, she isn't a very caring person outside of her ship. Despite what's going on in the rest of the world, Mythica often shows no regard unless events will affect her directly. The open ocean his her home, and she has no desire to travel inland unless money is involved. The continent could be locked in endless war, and she'd wouldn't bat an eyelash. Due to her cold stature, Mythica has become a quite notorious and feared pirate. Definitely one of the most well known on the Hivan Ocean.

Magic/Abilities
Much of Mythica's success is helped by her wide array of abilities. The pirate is a very skilled duelist when it comes to her sword. She has quick footwork, able balance, and a very keen sense of tactical prowess. She will often observe her opponent until she knows their weak spots, exploiting them immediately after. She is also very agile. Combining ducks, rolls, spins and flips to out maneuver and dodge her opponents. As for magic, Mythica can easily use this. Blessed by a sea spirit at a young age, the girl's magical powers are strongest in the open waters. She can manipulate the weather to whatever kind she wants. She can cause raging storms with violent lightning, or make the day calm and sunny whenever she feels the need. Not to mention, her ship is often accompanied by fog to conceal her approach whenever she spots a target. She also exhibits strong magical connections to the ship itself, being able to control it with her mind when needed. She can cause the sails to move in different directions if she wants, or make the ropes of to boat lash out at enemies. She specializes in wind magic however. Training herself in this craft for almost all her life, Mythica is very strong with air based magic. She can throw people several feet, or even move the sails of her ship with it. Of course, the bigger the task, the harder it would be for the girl to control. That is why she cannot constantly control the ship with her mind for long periods of time, or casually create tsunamis whenever. Using her unique "Leviathan" magic, she can even summon the great sea monster to come to her aid. Of course, this is only on very rare occasions, and Mythica has yet to master this skill.

Relationships
The sea, her crew, and her ship.

History
Mythica was born as a single child to a couple of Serenian nobles. They were very wealthy, and had big plans for their daughter. She was to grow up to become just like them. A respected, elegant upper class citizen of their country. They lived in a rather large manor not far off the coast of the open sea, and were well protected from pirates and other raiders who may try and loot their belongings. However, news of the couple's newborn child quickly spread. Knowing how much a noble child could be ransomed back to their parents attracted many shady folk to the region... It wasn't long after until Mythica was kidnapped by a very skilled group of bandits who managed to find their way into the manor during the dead of night. She was brought to the coast where she was kept onboard a ship the bandits used. However, before the message could be sent about the missing girl, they were attacked by another group of pirates... Much stronger and more well known pirates. Led by a man known as Jario Groven. A battle ensued between the two groups. Jario's only looking for loot, while the bandits were defending their expensive hostage. The battle was long and bloody, however Jario came out the victor. As his men were looting the ship, one of them stumbled across the newborn child who had been hidden on one of the lower decks. Mythica was brought to Captain Groven, and he made an unusual choice. He sensed something within the child he had not expected. He took this as a chance to create the perfect crew member, and pirate... He decided to keep Mythica, and raise her as his own...

Growing up, Mythica was always surrounded by pirates, and was considered one herself. She mostly lived aboard Jairo's ship: The Seraph's Requiem. It just so happened that Jario was a skilled mage as well as a duelist, and in turn trained Mythica in his ways. Of course, Mythica grew up under the false impression that Jario was her father, being too young to remember her actual parents. One day, The Seraph's Requiem made port to a very mysterious looking jungle island Mythica had never seen or heard of before. Jario instructed the girl to come with him as he visited the shore, leaving the rest of the crew aboard the ship. He lead her through the thick canopy until they were at the ruins of an old temple from a long dead civilization. Apparently it was a ritual temple for a powerful sea spirit. Jario told Mythica that since she was raised on the wide expanses of water her entire life, her soul would be very suitable for the sea spirit ritual. It was rumored to take a single drop of blood from an individual who had devoted their ENTIRE lives to the ocean, and bless them with magical abilities. Mythica was perfect since she had never lived on land for very long. Unlike Jario and his crew, who most of which hadn't become sailors until their adult years. And so they performed the ritual. The girl let a single drop of blood fall on a magic seal, and soon enough it deemed her worthy. The spirit showed itself, and blessed the young girl with the power to manipulate the waves and sky as she saw fit. According to the legends. Those whose hearts are true to the sea and are worthy of receiving the sea spirit's blessings are granted the power of one of the ocean guardians. Nicknames given to three large and powerful sea monsters. The Leviathan. The Kraken. And the Megalodon. Mythica had become the "Leviathan" as the sea spirit had told her. Jario elaborated. He told her depending on how your true heart feels, the sea spirit will grant you the title of a different sea monster. With the unique ability to summon the creature on rare occasions when the need is at it's most great. The girl had been chosen as the Leviathan tamer, so the symbol on her hand depicted a large serpent like beast.

Years had passed since Mythica had been granted the Leviathan's power. She had learned how to use most of the abilities, although she still wasn't perfect. She continued to help her crew on their many adventures until their captain had gotten very ill due to his older age. In a matter of months, the sickness had overtaken most of his body, and he lied on his deathbed. In his waning hours, he bestowed his adopted daughter with his ship, along with the crew and the rest of his possessions. Including his unique blade. He had raised her to be a fine pirate, and was more than confident she could continue his legacy on the open waters. The crew of the Seraph's Requiem had no objections to this decision, as many of them had fought and worked alongside Mythica her entire life, and knew exactly what she was capable of. She had the experience, bravery, and heart of a true pirate. He told her that being a pirate was more than just looting ships for treasure and wealth, but the thrill of the adventure and freedom from which piracy provided that made the true buccaneer... Not long after, Jario Groven had passed away, right before giving the young captain her new nickname. Shortly before his death he stated as a last attempt at humor that Mythica will scar the souls of her victims. To honor his memory, she used his dying words as her new name. Mythica Soulscar. Now more commonly known as "Captain Soulscar" by sea folk...

Answered Questions / Few questions
March 17, 2016, 09:30:59 PM
Hey all! I'm new here and I had a few questions that I couldn't find the answer to on the site.

First off, forgive me if I sound like a total newb, but could someone tell me how the insert image system works exactly? It's different from most forums I've been in.

Also, I'm going for a very Pirate like character, and I was wondering if having a ship like a 17th century Galleon would break the Medieval setting? And yes, I'm well aware they didn't exist during the middle ages, but they could have been possible to build during those times. (Without cannons of course)
