As the days went on, Mist's health improved. At first, her Cloud was Mikhail's silent companion, but by the second day she had reemerged. She was as hyper and curious as ever, particularly by their new environment. It was as if nothing had changed, except for two things. She felt a little superior to this man, now that her trick of sorts had successfully played out (or so she thought), and there was a faint mark on her arm where the needle had ever so lightly penetrated her. A minuscule gray dot, barely visible, but it was there.
This day was a fine, splendid one. She couldn't stop asking the man questions.
Where did the blood go? Could she see it? What does he use it for? Where were they?
The two were in a new village now, on the borders of Serendipity. Mikhail didn't seem to like it, but Mist loved it. It was a bit like the last one, only bigger, and she loved having the ability of knowing things. And knowing more things meant playing better pranks. She giggled delightfully as she zoomed out of the baker's place, littering flour as she went. The baker, a somewhat blind man, had thought she had been a bug (when in reality she had only been examining the shop) and had tried to kill her with his rolling bin. The next two minutes became a wild goose chase inside the shop, until Wisp got bored and laughed, startling the man even more.
She found her companion fairly quickly, who seemed to be observing someone. She landed on his shoulder, dusting the remanding flour off of her naked body and wings.
She glowed at the compliment, her eyes shining as she observed the child.
"ooooh!" she exclaimed.
She didn't care if the child was lonely or not- she looked interesting and the fairy had never seen a creature like that before.
Giggling in her voice like bells, she dived for the child's right arm, feeling her skin.
She didn't look human. In fact, she looked kinda silly. She gave an awe filled smile as she observed the kid's face and flew up to her hair.
The child, in turn, was startled. She screamed and shook her head, causing Wisp to do several somersaults before gaining balance again.
"Ow," Wisp moaned, rubbing her head, frowning, "That's not very nice."
The girl's eyes widened as the pride-hurt fairy blew a raspberry at her.
The girl apologized, and soon, the two were talking, with Wisp inspecting her face and, just as she had to Mikhail, flew up into her hair, laying on it.
However, Wisp was quickly growing bored.
This girl looked interesting, though she did plenty of normal human girl stuff. Nothing at all new or terribly exciting. Why did Mikhail want her to 'play' with her, again?
Wisp gave a frustrated sigh as the girl was talking about something or another. She would have played another prank, but she had just did one, and wasn't up for another one so soon. Why did Mikhail want her to play, again?
