He looked around, not sure whether it's from paranoia or the hope that something has changed.
Nope, nothing. Everything was normal.
The Birds of Prey thieves began to set up camp, and arranged stalls to show off their wares. Their goods range from Serendipity to Adela and beyond. Hawk knew most of the citizens here have great interests in illegal magical artifacts and medallions, or the expensive jewels and clothing of the wealthy. Such camaraderie was very difficult to obtain. To Hawk, retrieving such items was very easy.
That is, when you know the right people.
As he perused the items, he wondered if any artifact was similar to the one he received two years ago. Since then, Hawk was determined to find the origin of his medallion. Was it fey magic? Elf magic? Was it a blessing or a curse? Most likely, this particular piece was a curse. For the life of him, he could not take the necklace off, as if it was forever bound around his neck. This damned thing gave him more trouble than it's worth. Despite his amazing powers of shadows and manipulation, it emits a strange aura, causing the people around him to attack. It only happens when he uses it. Hawk roamed around many of the kingdoms, hoping to find out any clues to what this artifact is. Many mages  scratch their heads in puzzlement, though one mage says this necklace is extremely ware, and the records of it was forever lost.
Hawk walked around Zantaric, not straying far from the Bird of Prey's campsite. He hoped that someone had the whereabouts of this medallion. Until then, he was patient.
