Physical Description
With soft, caramel colored skin, deep, brown (almost black) wavy hair with highlights of turquoise woven throughout, Pao is beautiful. She has a strong face and jaw, thick lips, and thick brows that are shaped narrowing downwards on her face, giving her eyes a catty look. Her eyes are similar in color to the vibrant turquoise in her hair, and she is normally seen with some paintings on her skin in the same tone, with sun marks, and river waves, and other symbols of the God Spirits she worships. And in the center of her forehead a single golden bead is planted within her skin.

Pao is a shapely woman, with heavy curves and a strong body. To accent her nature as a mystic, she wears many golden charms pierced into her ears, around her neck, or bound into the many layers of bangles that adorn both her arms. She wears skirts in layers that go down to her calves in length, starting with a black skirt on top, then various colored, ruffled skirts in silk beneath it, mostly in varying colors of purple, blues and even deep wine reds. Her top is of simple ivory colored linen that shows off her midriff, to where she can show off more of her caramel colored skin painted in spirals of more turquoise paint around the gold piercings about her belly. SHe even has a few belly bracelets that hook around her waste and attach to her skirt on either side.
Other times she is known to wear a bra of either gold 'feathers' or tanned animal hide.

Around her arms are cuffs of cold that hold a wing like layer of silk to accent her spirituality with that of the bird she internally worships (though this depends on if she's performing any rituals or not). And within her hair she wears a thick head band made of gold and braided with varying colors of string, with some loose feathers and beads that drape on one side. Occasionally, she'll add ornaments to her thick, wavy hair, but it all depends on the ceremony she needs to perform, or what she is feeling when she awakens for the day.

Around her neck, she has a single, gold necklace with a jade stone that hangs like a teardrop. It was her mothers, and had been a symbol of the spiritual animal she had been connected to.

Personality
Pao is very superstitious and wise, believing each element of nature holds a spirit, and that fortunes can be fore seen through mystical spells, and the stars. THis sort of talent has been passed down to her through many generations of her nomadic family, and it was her grandmother that taught her how to see (as had been taught to her by her mother and the mothers of other Saranthian women in the past).

She is very wise and spiritual, very serious in nature, but not without her quirks. She does, often times, love to trick people by speaking in a spiritual tongue, guiding them in circles, especially those who are none the wiser. She believes most people are simple, and not everyone realizes they must remain in tune with nature, and that the 'new worlders' are often finding ways to take themselves out of the spirits of nature, and conquer them, as they have been conquering the land. Pao believes people own nothing, and that even your own soul belongs to the gods who have gifted it to you, the higher beings who hold up the skies and clouds, and cast the stars upwards in the night.

Magic/Abilities
As a fortune teller, Pao can read a man's fate by simply reading his palm, or for more further knowledge, something more in depth and spiritual, she can guide him into 'seeing' his way, seeing his future. Though sometimes visions can come without warning or the aid of incense, spells or blessed trinkets, most of the time Pao conjures her visions in a very particular process, which she uses her intuition to create. Not one fortune telling is the same, and it can be easily read off of the person she meets who seek it.. and sometimes those who do not.

Pao's spiritual animal is the peacock; and normally seeing one is a good sign and will often times spurn visions for Pao. In tribute to her spiritual animal, she wears it's feathers throughout her attire.

Self defense- Pao knows some in the art of self defense, as was taught to her for survival methods as she was growing up with her nomadic tribe.

Spiritual Weapon- Unknown even to her, Pao'orha can summon a spiritual weapon used to ward off the dark spirits that plague her dreams- and that of the land.

Relationships
D'ona- her grandmother
Shanra- her deceased mother
Father- unknown

History
Pao's ancestry can be linked to a similar heritage as the island dwellers of Yoreiq. They are nomadic people that live off the land, and live in tribal camps throughout the coast line on the Tuor ocean, primarily near Adela and Essyrni lands. Though in more recent times, with the establishment of the current nations, their people have greatly thinned and finding a true blooded Saranthian is rather rare.

Saranthians are matriarchal by nature, believing the women rule the camps while the men are the workers, hunter and gatherers, since mostly the women are blessed with spiritual visions and healing. Though men can find the call of this power themselves, they are more subservient, and everything they do is for their people, their matriarch, and their mate.

Though Saranthians can mate several times in their lives, once they find their true mate, they will be loyal to them until the end. They often times come to age rather early, and mating is never frowned upon, and women giving birth in their teens is seen as a good thing. It is not uncommon to have a female Saranthian with many children to varying mates.

Pao is from a small tribe, and a vision drew her to the coast line of Essyrn, to a small cliff dwelling city at the boarder near Adela, where she has made a name for herself as a 'seer', or a mystic, a fortune teller and charmer. Though it is said she performs certain 'miracles' for men, crowning her a common whore in some circles, she is left relatively to herself, and has a small following of normal customers who believe her to be wise beyond her years and seek her calling and support when life becomes too much.

Her home and shop is located near the top most layer of the cliff-side country, nestled up on its own balcony which can only be accessed by climbing a ladder, though many areas in the cliff side city are only accessible through ladders or caves systems (some man made), which have since been modified with stone or clay stairs on the inside for easier access to the more bustling merchants located nearer to the ground level of the cliff city of Canador.

Pao has been here for many years, awaiting for the 'hero' to appear she has been seeing in her dreams. It was this vision, which is normally seen as a tiger or some form of  a dragon, that lead her to the cliff side city, and she believes her destiny has already been carved out to her, and that this is her partner's spiritual animal trying to guide her.  But ever since she's been seeing the tiger, other, darker dreams have been setting in...
dreams about an ancient monster that will threaten the land.. and a hero who will rise up to the challenge to defeat it.
