*This is currently a closed/ private event between myself and a few other rpers as we flesh out ideas to create an epic story full of epic!
I'm posting it here as a reference so my buddies aren't completely over loaded with my specialness 8DWhat is
THE HEARTLESS?The heartless are a race of demons who are a breed closely related to their mortal cousins,
humans; however, they lack a few things- a heart being one of them. They are a kingdom of shadow creatures that, if they can devour a human heart, begin to take on human characteristics- and most notably so, all heartless demons look like like humans with white hair, red eyes and dark colored flesh (ranging from grey to black colored flesh). In their true demon form- they are completely black with red eyes and are generally formless, but their formless bodies can be more or less shifted into any sort of shape or being they desire- but it will always remain black like a shadow. These heartless are also creatures who can be solid or not, and can easily materialize themselves between both forms. They obey only one force- their King and they have but one desire- eating human hearts.
One kink in the plan of demons associating so closely to humans and literally eating hearts is that- in some instances, the human heart can affect the demon in a way where they can begin to take on characteristics that are more human than not. Another kink in this plan is that well, they HAVE to eat human hearts to survive. If they do not, it is possible for them to fade away into nothing- and this is the only way, it seems, to really kill the heartless- that is to starve them of their only source of food. It is also rumored you can steal the consumed hearts back, but it has never been proven.
The kingdom of the heartless resides beneath the
Seraj Isa in ancient ruins long tucked away from the prying eyes of man. Since they are so far away from civilizations, this gives them a lot of oppurtunity to thrive since 1) they are difficult to find and b) those captured and brought here have a difficult time escaping. Though one flaw is they have to generally travel quite far to get their meals.
When a human becomes heartless they will look the same, but have red eyes and a scar where their heart had once been. If they consume a heart, their human features will begin to fade- hair changing to white, skin turning to varying forms of grey.
These heartless have a unique ability to
see and
sense the purity of a heart. However, another weakness to such a ... hearty profession, is the blood of a 'reborn' pure hearted can actually burn them. But considering resurrection has not yet been figured out within these kingdoms- the demons have no reason to fear, nor a knowledge of this.

These are the kingdoms who have become the focused locations for the heartless attacks. The heartless call these kingdoms 'The Kingdoms of the Pure Hearted'- for many strong hearts have been found here (even one such heart who has become the obsession of their King). Currently, the Kingdom of the Heartless wages a campaign against those of the pure-hearted, and will, occasionally, pick at
other human races- but have since become infatuated with these certain kingdoms because of the purity of their people's hearts. And a lot of the pure hearts come from their princesses.
The king of the heartless has since captured 3 known princesses to date.

The first princess of the lot was the first one to capture the king's true interest- and the first time he ever tasted a
pure heart. When attacked, this princess was taking prisoner and from a story long since forgotten, the princess gave her heart willingly to him- and in the process, the King himself actually fell in love. Though their affair was more or less secretive, it produced a son who, ironically, was born with a heart. Afraid his own people would eat his son, he cast the prince into exile to live among the humans in the Tundra- a world so far away from his own.
