It always seemed to end up like this. She moved, people found her, she killed, people went looking for her, she moved again, repeat. It was getting tiresome, and yet, she was lively as ever.

A clear night, a full moon, the forest was alive with activity, just beyond sight. It was in the ground, in the trees, and in the predatory thoughts and eyes of Ravens. She skulked around silently through the branches, hoping to find a meal for the evening.
Ravens wasn't entirely sure herself if she needed to eat; certainly she had the desire to consume living things, but actually feeling hunger, or feeling weak for lack of food? She couldn't recall the sensation. Still, she wanted to sink her teeth into something that would bleed. Something big. Something... Someone...

It was only a matter of time until she heard a meal wander foolishly in her territory, and everything within sight or earshot was her territory, after all.

Inigo walked into the forest, a fresh cut on his arm and a depressed look on his face. The boy threw himself onto the ground and tucked his face into his knees. He had spent the entire day begging and had only gotten a few pieces of silver and one gold piece. The boy only sighed and said,"It looks like I go hungry today..." He heard a harsh whisper and only said,"Yes Samson, I know I shouldn't of been begging there, but you would of done the same...well if you had a body that is." The boy only sighed as he laid on his side and waited to slowly drift off to sleep.

Voices, noise, blood. Ravens' ears and eyes sharpened as she dashed between the trees, startling birds and disturbing the silence in the canopy herselfAs she blistered past.

What seemed like violent winds overhead suddenly stopped, Ravens rest in a tree near, but not directly over her prey. Thick fog appeared around the area from seemingly nowhere; almost glowing in the moonlight, it transformed the forest into a white sheet lined with black silhouettes of trees.

Ravens sat and watched the boy, disappointed to say the least. He was alone, and had hardly any meat on him. Ravens began to wonder if he was even worth her time.

Inigo lightly shivered in his sleep, he was hungry and freezing. His stomach would occassionally growl at him to feed it, but Inigo only tossed and turned a little. Samson hovered over Inigo, making sure that the child would be okay.

Ravens was unsure now, she didn't sense any bigger animals around to eat, but the boy seemed so... Inedible. Her hunger, rather, her lust for food, was still present though. She'd have to make do.

Where it was silent a moment ago, the air was filed with the crazed cawing of a murder of ethereal ravens suddenly. Ravens drew her claws and landed quietly on the forest floor, her landing muted out by the bird calls that disturbed the quiet of night.

Suddenly, it caught her eye. A faint glimmer in the moonlight, but unmistakable nonetheless. Coins. Shiny, pretty coins. Ravens halted her attack, dispelling her claws just feet from where the boy slept. Where had the coins gone? She was sure there was something there a moment ago- they must be hidden. Ravens cleared the distance and began patting at and around the boy, searching for the shiny objects.

Inigo flinched lightly as he felt a set of hands on him, but only continued his sleeping. The only things he had in his pockets were a few berries that he had picked earlier and the same old coins he had, barely enough to get him some water.

Coin coin coin, Ravens' thoughts were on one track: find the bright brilliant beautiful coin. Her tiny hands felt with added fervor, prodding the boy's clothes and pockets, enraptured by her fervent search. Eventually she found it! Tucked away so cleverly, but it was hers now, not that she had any need for money, she just wanted to stare at it. Ravens held up her prize to see it glimmer in the moonlight, momentarily in a trance.
