Hey everyone as the title suggests I'm trying to do some roleplaying here. I am going to have my first character Meeta fight her first match in the Essyrn colosseum. While the match will take a lot of the beginning but it won't be central part to the story but character interactions that follows afterward will be. So is there anyone with a character in Essyrn interested?

It might be interesting to throw my character Danning at her. He's a priest from Connlaoth that preached against the war there and in turn, people wanted him silenced and shipped him off to be sold into slavery in Essryn. It's possible they could be opponents, or that Danning gets tossed into the arena in order to shake things up. But jes anything but a fighter! He preaches peace, after all!

Yooooo!

I have several characters that could work!

There's Yasmin, who is a gladiator/slave. 8D Maybe they could know each other! She's currently dealing with a situation that may or may not affect her slave status, buuuut their thread could take place prior to that event if you were interested in her!

I also have Qismat, who is pretty sympathetic to slaves, even though he owns them. He's a filthy rich merchant! If your gal needs an owner, he could suit the situation!


I also have Syrae, who fights voluntarily in the Colosseum, so they could even meet easily. He's a show off. XD

There's also Nasrin, who is the ringleader of an all-lady bandit gang, so if you need some troublemaking, she can do it!

I think Danning would fit well visualspice as someone that arena officials throw into the match for the crowed's amusement while it's confuses and annoys the other fighters as they duke it out. It should be fun hahaha!

As your candidates Rhi-Rhi I would say either Yesmin or Qismat. If it is Qismat he can actually buy Meeta from her current master after the bout. If it is Yesmin what role would you want for her in this story?

I'm all for the killing two birds approach Rhi. Considering this won't be long fight and nobody wants that but I hopes it be can be fun bout as you say. What I got in mind is that Meeta fights her heart out in the match, impressing the crowd. Though Yasmin with her edge in experience and cunning still defeats the newblood.

If the thread takes place after the thread we're in, Rhi, Yasmin could be sent to the Colosseum as a means to help hide the fact her master isn't dead? You know, as a way to show things are 'normal'. And if that's the cause, maybe she's not suppose to kill? Being that this could be the only battle she's had to truly fight since she was bought by her new master? (I mean, other than the crocodile hunt her and Red Sun participated in).

It could end up being a plan that goes awry, a third party gets involved since the battle is more or less stagnant since no one is dying? And he proposes to spice up the game by throwing in Danning, and proposes which ever woman kills this man first, walks away alive while the other is eaten by a lion-beast captured from the Serha plains. However, perhaps complications keep the fight going despite throwing in Danning, and maybe the lion-beast is released anyways in hopes that at least the beast is smart enough to finish this fight, so then all three have to find themselves fighting this beast?

Just a thought lol

Oh,a nd if I toss in Danning, I'm thinking he'll more or less be chained to something, so he's confined to the area he can run to. (like a chain leash of sorts) that's rigged up to hand cuffs, or something :T

SO MY VOTE IS YES. YES TO ALL OF THAT! xD

Yasmin would not be happy being the sacrificial lamb sent to keep things looking "normal", since she so wants to be done with the gladiator fighting. XD But she'd do it to keep up the facade, definitely, and would definitely not want  to kill the girl. Especially when she sees how green she is! xD She'd feel sorry for her, the same way her own mentor Agrian felt sorry for her when she was a floundering newb. >_>

during! I was thinking your two characters fight but since it appears to be at a stale mate (maybe it goes on for a long time?) a third party comes in demanding the fight be put to an end. Not sure the rest of the details on how it'll happen, but someone will propose tossing in Danning, who's seen as rather obnoxious man who keeps preaching about peace as if he's some crazy person, so they could be like 'Toss in the Peace Preacher and if the women can't handle a simple task of killing him- let's kill them all with the LION' (a lion beast that will need a more epic name than just.. well.. LION :| )

Basically it would mean my character is off on the side lines watching at first, while your two characters fight and eventually the poor preacher is tossed in as well (maybe after he begins to make a big seen on preaching against the blood shed?) And you know, tries to declare all of Essyrn a bunch of blood thirsty animals :|

(Yeah that could earn him getting tossed into the pit without a second thought probably lol )

By all means do so as you wish. It looks like you got a good picture for how the scene will look like. I would like Meeta to strike the killing blow to the creature after the small party weakens it if you're both good with that.

That's fine. I'm already beginning to imagine how Danning can help- using his chains at one point to maybe trip or even trap the beast- but we shall have to see what happens in the thread :D

The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave.
