The mage cast a astral bolt spell at Valona. The spell penetrated her shield and pushed her against the wall.
'' You  little whore cause a lot of trouble. The innkeeper will be very pissed that  you  fucked up  the interior in his most profitable  establishment. "
He grabbed her neck.
" You will make a fine slave" - the mage failed to notice that his spell caused only superficial injuries , which Valona's healing factor fixed . Valona grabbed her enchanted dagger and stabbed the mage in the hearth.  He died immediately. Valona  licked  the blood from the blade , liking the flavor.

Valona heard cannons firing and smelled gunpowder. She decided that  Akallas and the others can handle the connlaothians, while she collect the loot from the dead bodies and  drink some blood.

Akallast whistled, or what a body like his can do for a whistle. Not only did Valona possess a very good regeneration, she was able to use something like blood to help her do it. Or was it sustenance for her?

He should get her to ... aid him in future research projects.

Akallas saw that the looting and loading was going well. While the cargo hull was nowhere close to being filled up -and he had yet to see any real resistance against his raiders.

He quickly made his way up his ship and to the crow's nest, and his metaphorical eyes widened.

In the distance, he could see a small army's worth of Connlaothians heading his way.

"GET BACK ON THE SHIP! WE'RE RETREATING!" he shouted as loud as he could, using the sound amplifier rune engraved to the insides of his armor. "I am not picking you up if you don't get on the ship in the next ten minutes!"

Getting to the noble wasn't the problem. Getting him to stay was while still dealing with the by now decimated forces.
Ray would barely make in the given 10 minutes, but at least he'd drag the noble along.

Valona decided that she don't have enough time to go to the second floor. She collected everything shiny she could find and then returned to the airship.

The army was close now.

Akallas wanted to take off, but he saw some of the straggling raiders were still hauling some loot.

"Hurry up!" he roared just as crossbows and arrows began to strike at the ship's position by the two's and three's.
