A sudden light, striking trough the skies, hitting the ground of an evergreen forest. Storm clouds gathering in one point as it start to rain and pour down. Then, the ground started shaking, as if the earth was growling. A crack...and eventually, it was as if the earth was ripped open, creating a large hole as the surrounding forest cried in pain and from the ground, as if called by unknown forces, a large colosseum, made of stone and black marble, rising into the air. The ground kept shaking until the arena had finally rose from where it came. The shaking could be felt from miles away. Clouds still remaining.

The arena was silent as their was no one in it, but it felt as if it was breathing...as if the stones, the sand, even the stands were alive. Large red veins could be seen trough the stones, running along it's cracks and leaks. And then from the deepest part of the forest a calling could be heard, strong and powerful, roaring trough the skies and reaching the chosen ones.

From that moment, as if falling from the sky, 22 orbs of light, of various color were sent away, in search of their chosen one...in search of their Pactmakers. No matter how far they were, they would find them. The greatest tournament was about to begin, but first, the  challengers needed to be assembled. For the winner of this tournament, would gain not only fame, honor and gold, but also powers and be elevated to the statue of a God.

Now then, who would answer the spirit call? Who will have the gut to challenge the arena and to fight for the glory?

DETAILS

So hi guys! As you can see, this is a tournament, a little special one. As mention in the intro, 22 spirits have been sent over to their chosen one. I'd need up to 6 challengers or more if there is more people interested, this will be a narrative story in which you can chose to incarnate a character you already have or create a new one in order to play this little game, that is entirely up to you.

The twist here, is, you'll be fighting alongside one of the spirit, and will be using his/her powers in order to win. Of course you still have access to your own character's abilities, but you'll also have access to those of your spirit partner. 

So what powers do we get? Coming to that! I will be listing the spirits, in this case Arcana as I call them. I've based them on the Tarot cards and their powers are link to that. You can chose whichever you want from the list. They will be very basic and you will be able to customize them to some extent if you feel like it.

A bit of INFOS

Arcana would be considered magical spirit that can make deal with mortal. Arcana can enter two phases. The Upward and the Inverse. While the Upward phase is when they can use their power normally, the Inverse is a state in which they grow a lot more powerful but with heavy consequences equal to the power they gained. The Inverse phase is temporary and the duration change from Arcana to Arcana.

When using their powers, Arcana or the Pactmaker have to call out the name of the ability, which are written down below in the list.

Also, every Arcana bear his number as a tattoo somewhere on their body. Also, feel free to give them name others then how they are called if you want. That would give them a personal touch.

LIST OF ARCANA

0 The Fool
Type: Chance/Support
Upward: Luck:Can easily turn a situation to his advantage by playing with luck.
Inverse: Act of Faith:Allow him to turn any situation, even if desperate, to his advantage, but it cost the Pactmaker a few life years, depending on how dire the situation is.


I The Magician
Type: Chance/Support
Upward: Change: Can materialize any objects a Pactmaker need in order to settle a situation.
Inverse: Summon: Can summon a powerful artefact in order to do something, but it might turn against the Pactmaker.

II The High Priestest
Type: Magic
Upward: Meditation: Allowing the Pactmaker to enter a transe, it enhance the physical and mental abilities of the user.
Inverse: Steal: Allow the Pactmaker to use other's life force to gain extremely powerful physical and mental abilities.

III The Empress
Type: Attack
Upward: Seduction: Anyone will fall under the charm and the strength of the empress. Their defense will criple if charmed.
Inverse: Lust : Will obtain great power to the cost of an horrible appearance, showing the darkest part of the Pactmaker.

IV The Emperor
Type: Attack
Upward: Confident: Give courage and leadership to the Pactmaker, gaining power for combat.
Inverse: Arrogance: Gain temporarily a inhuman state, in which he become very powerful. But once it's over, he can't use Confident for 3 more days.

V The Hierophant
Type: Defense
Upward: Shield : Allow the Pactmaker to create a force field around himself to protect himself against physical and magical attack.
Inverse: Defenseless: The Pactmaker give up all defense but eliminate all magical effects around him.
