1. Organization Name
The Knightwalkers
-with double meaning- because they must work at night, and because they are 'knight's who walk their dogs'

2. Objective
A secret branch of the church reserved in training with experimental werewolves who sniff out mages and other such potential magics.

3. Who may join?
There are only 2 real positions; handlers and their dogs.

Most aren't given the option what they will be, but those who are handlers must have been a high ranking church templar or a knight associated closely with the church (and even better, a mordecai or adhara). But only a select few mordecai would be considered (as they are deemed more important to be stationed elsewhere).

Only those who go through a series of checks and approvals within the church will even be presented with this obligation. Most are sworn into this guild without knowing what they were getting into. Others are elected based on their qualifications appraised by the church.

If you're chosen to be a dog, you either volunteered because you were stupid, or did something terrible- as the position is a sentence and a form of 'redemption'. Criminals with high potential to become candidates that would transform from a werewolf's bite into a magic sniffing type wolf (Connalothian tracker), would be brought before the guild and forced to transform. Not all survive, and not all turn into the desired were-tracker. It seems, so far, only mordecai have the 'fluke' gene where a werewolf bite will transform them, but their wolf side takes on a wild tracker form rather than just a savage wolf. It seems adhara are immune to werewolf bites (at this time).

4. Organization Location
The Deep Wood (North east in the Duchy of Allar)
This is a primitive, fortified set of cabins where handlers reside- and the hounds live in the kennels away from their 'master' handlers. It's contained within a tall, fortified wall in an area that's completely remote- miles from any town. The land itself within the small fortress isn't large, so while the walls are tall, the structure may not appear too imposing- or too descriptive as to what it is. The only indication of what may lay within the wooden fort are the crest of the Knightwalkers- which would be known to none.

5. Current Members and Ranks
Chief HandlerWhere's a double badge, one the color of the church and the other, the same as the other handlers, only it's all white with black stitch work
The Chief Handler runs the entire Knightwalkers and is the only connection between their church adjunct and the secrets within.

Handlers- marked with a badge on their sleeve, similar to the mark of the Hounds, only with Angsar's holy blessing behind it
Handlers control the Hounds at any given time. They are the chief trainers and the ones who take the beasts out into the field at night. They over see all of the experimentation and other goings on within the stronghold.
Mellesta Tark

Hounds- marked by a tattoo behind their right ear in the shape of a black Connlaothian tracker silhouette
Hounds are humans turned werewolf after having been bitten under a controlled environment.
Fluke- The first hound and 'alpha'. He is the primary 'biter' used to turn those they wish to experiment with
Bitch- accidental 'turn'

6. Additional Information
The guild is relatively new, and has only been around due to a fluke accident on a mordecai convict sentenced to death. While being brought to the noose, a were wolf attacked and bit the mordecai. Believing he'd be left for dead, it was a surprise when the young man survived the night and through the bite, took on the werewolf 'illness' and from it, it was found out he wasn't just an ordinary werewolf- but a mordecai type werewolf who, once turned, turned into a more humanly aware Connlaothian tracker. The convict was dubbed 'Fluke'- all traces of his past life, erased, and has been the primary source for turning others while being the single most problematic were-tracker they have to date.

It is uncertain if even the Grand Duke is aware of this section of the church.
CHECK OUT MY LATEST SITE EVENT!
The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. You can read more about the event on the plotting page here and information page here!

I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.
