Physical Description
Cynbel takes more after his mother than his father. His skin is dark like earth touched by rain, and his jet-black hair is like that of an animal's fur, complete with fluffy down hairs underneath longer guard hairs. His face takes after his Elvish mother: All angles. His amber eyes almost seem to glint like gemstones when the catch the light; a trait inherited from his father.

Unlike the typical Adelan Human population, Cynbel's build is more willowy than solid. He is tall and long-limbed, and his movements have an underlying predatory grace; muscles like tense steel cables ready to release and whip if the situation demanded it.

Along his arms, legs, and the back of his neck, royal blue scales have formed where flesh should be. The influence of his Rite of Inheritance has taken hold earlier than normal.

Personality
Not a man to waste words, Cynbel says what he means and means what he says. The art of conversation is not lost on him, mind; it's simply that he would rather not play with words when action is more effective. Beneath his cold, analytical gaze lies a patient, calculating mind. Due to his resting expression and seeming unwillingness to participate in small-talk, Cynbel does carry a presence of stern frigidity. It isn't true.

Magic/Abilities
Cynbel's abilities stem from his own magical power and the channeling of his Dragon: Gravuun Qo Gram, or Autumn Lightning Cloud. Gravuun Qo Gram's natural affinity towards storms gives Cynbel considerable control and power in the fields of Lightning, Air, and Water magic, even going so far as to hurl bolts of lightning as if they were javelins, or bellowing forth a war cry that can be heard for miles around. While he cannot turn water into ice, he can manipulate its movement. As well as having an elemental affinity, Cynbel is also capable of channeling Gravuun Qo Gram to boost his already increased physical abilities, however there is a distinct limit to how much he can "boost" himself before he winds up overpowering his own resilience and breaking his bones.

His armor and spear, the Lancer panoply of House Graza, also acts as foci for the magics of Gravuun Qo Gram. While wearing his armor, Cynbel has much greater magical strength and control, as well as the armor acting as a ground in the case of a magical misfire. His spear has been bonded to his and Gravuun Qo Gram's soul, and thus can be summoned and un-summoned to Cynbel's hand if given the proper intent.

History
Cynbel was born and raised in the northern Adelan Noble House of Graza. His mother, Rhiannon, is House Graza's eldest and longest-standing Lancer, and his father being a magecrafter of the House Lancers' magical arms and armor. Being the youngest of Rhiannon's sons, he trained for the position of Lancer since he was old enough to hold a weapon. The position of Lancer is an honored one, and one the young Cynbel was more than happy to fill.

Every Lancer, once they complete the first stage of their training, undergoes the Rite of Inheritance, a ritual that House Graza keeps a very close secret. In the Rite of Inheritance, an individual's soul is bonded with that of a Dragon, one most likely long-deceased. In this fashion, House Graza immortalizes the Dragons it and other Adelans hold sacred. With souls bonded, a Lancer undergoes the rest of their training: Using the newfound powers and working in-tandem with the Dragon Soul they are bonded to.

In Cynbel's case, he was bonded to an ancient Dragon calling itself Gravuun Qo Gram, or Autumn Lightning Cloud. In the time since the bond, Cynbel has been learning to efficiently wield not only his newfound elemental powers, but his physical abilities as well. Increased strength, reflexes, speed, senses, resilience... It would have all been easier to cope, had he been given them as a small child, rather than a teenager.

With the young Heiress of House Graza wanting to strike out on her own adventures, it was only reasonable that a Lancer go with her as her body guard. Rhiannon nominated Cynbel to be the young Adallindis' Lancer and bodyguard, and Cynbel gladly accepted. Now, the two of them strike out on their own, ready to take on whatever challenges bar their path.
