"Come on Ari. Lets get these ingredients paid for and lets get out of here." John tells his familiar who stood next to him with his arms crossed.

"What? You remember something I said ages ago now?" John asks sarcastically.

Ari blinks with a stubborn look to his face, "Sure I remember where you took a shit on Sunday also. Hell no I don't remember!"

"Shame." John says with a hint of sarcasm still in his voice as he walked over to the shopkeeper and paid over the coin.

Ari follows to carry the basket as they exit the small store. Grasses, leaves, and other herbs were in the basket. All smelling sweet and smooth.

As they walked through the capitol both John and Ari seem to have gotten seperated from eachother. The crowd of people probably confused the poor spirit as he walked by, probably not being able to see John past the clothing and their taller heights.

"Oh come on." Ari sighs after spending s few hours trying to find his master. He thought he said to meet him in the small bakery if they got seperated but by then sadly the place had closed down for the night. Leaving Ari without much money for a place to spend the night. Maybe a few coins from the change they got at the herbalist.

He would much rather be back in his own plane then in the country, no in the city, they were in. This place definitely did not treat mages or mostly anything relating to magic kindly. And he was probably the most magical being on the block!

Sitting down on the barrel that was near another small store that he thought was a winery Ari looks up at the stars watching them.

They twinkled with a glottering appearance but Ari could see many more then the normal human eye. It was absolutely dazzling.

"Hey Ari!" Someone yells towards his direction. Ari snatches his attention back to his area and see a pair of guards approaching his position. "We recieved word from your friend that he is lookimg for you. And he asked us if we ran into you then we can escort you to where he told you to meet up. He said something about you probably forgetting."

The guard finishes leaving Ari confused. "Im sorry sir. But I do not think that is a good idea." He smiles some hopping off the barrel. "I think you got the wrong guy." Ari says smiling amd grasping his hands together behind his back as he backed up a bit. "Besides I remember John said that we are to meet up at a certain spot if we ever got seperated."

Two of the guards walked up behind Ari, making him jump as he was blocked by their huge armoured bodies. One of them place his gaunlet hand on Ari's shoulder, "No, We got the right one." He smiles yanking the small man closer to him and placing a blade up against his neck. "We have a good bit of fun here boys."

Ari not only felt sick but at the same time he felt off, like lethargic. Mordecai. Ari's heart sank, they literally destroyed his ability to use magic, and not only that but they physically weakened him since he is a being if magic. I told John this was a bad idea. I was right.

"So little mage, you are not lookimg too good. Or are you even a living thing rather them the familiar?" The leader cackles. How do they know!? Ari thinks glaring at the towering man.

"The laws say that magic is not allowed to be used, to do so is were we come in." The leader says through his helmet as Ari got shoved into the dark alley and stabbed in thr gut by a short blade.

The world would go black.

Some time later Ari awakens in what seems like a dark celler, but he is chained down. His mouth gagged. His clothing replaced with nothing but underwear. What in the names of the gods. Ari thinks his gaze seeing a large array of items. Mostly torture and experimental ones. Oh gods.
