If Natias had been thinking at all, he might've suspected Raff would follow. Even so, he could hear him move across the floor. Even with his ears drooped as they were in distress. Some part of him thought he should move, maybe dash down the hall... But that'd probably wake up other people or seem... well, rude. Natias wasn't afraid of Raff. He was just really embarrassed about making a fool out of himself, and a mess everywhere, and... things that probably shouldn't bother the haevar but did. Raff had been incredibly attentive and nice to him, and Natias wasn't exactly feeling like he'd done anything to deserve it.
So, he didn't move when Raff opened the door. He tensed a moment when the other man wrapped his arms around him, but it was just reflexive. Natias easily relaxed then, letting out a long sigh that sounded a little like a laugh.
Until Raff started asking questions. Not the sort of thing the tame haevar would hear out in a hallway. Certainly not something he hoped others would overhear. He frequently forgot the vast majority of the people he came into contact did not have the sort of hearing he did.
Natias turned in Raff's arms, face a dark, ruddy red while he shook his head, eyes a little wide in both alarm and awkwardness. "No, no, no," he quickly said, his clawed hands reflexively coming to rest on Raff's bare chest. Wanting to touch him, hoping it might help soothe whatever distress the other might be feeling too. "That's... No. I'm..." Why was this so hard to say? Likely because he'd just met Raff.
Natias let out a huff and found a spot on Raff's face – his mouth – to focus on. "I was just a little... ah... embarrassed.. about..." One of his hands slid down and he tapped Raff's lower abs. "I hadn't meant to... I don't usually..." He was generally better about being in control of himself and it distressed the haevar when he felt he'd done something to another person that was rude. Or invasive.
