This is the product of extreme boredom (well, not exactly) that I posted a while back. Bringing it back and updating it for good times!
All you need are some drinks, an Internet connection, one friend or more, and the ability to pick any thread on SotE that (preferably) you aren't familiar with, no matter how old it is.
If the Original Post (refered hereafter as OP) meets one or more of the following criteria, then drink up following the prescribed amount! Whoever runs out of drink first or passes out loses.
You can even state which criteria you want to use before you begin, based on how easy/hard/potentially intoxicating you want to make the game. You can have them all in play, but they all cover a lot of ground. Or, alternatively, you can go with the criteria that makes you drink the most if you meet more than one in a thread. However you want to play! Maximize your enjoyment!
Main Character Criteria
(1) OP main character is female
= Take another (3) if the very next post is from a male character
= Take another (10) if the two fall in love within the first page of posts
(2) OP main character is a very competent/powerful fighter
(2) OP main character doing random/senseless mischief
(1) OP main character is not human
= Take another (2) if main character is not human, but still looks human
(1) OP main character outwits any NPC characters in that post
(1) OP main character uses profanity
(1) OP main character is described somewhere as having long hair
= Take another (1) if the hair color is blue/green/pink/purple in any flavor
= Or take (3) more if the hair color is silver
(1) OP main character is angsting
(1) OP main character is remembering something from the past
= Take another (2) if that something is painful/tragic
(1) You feel sorry for the main character at any point in the OP
= You instantly lose and must drink what you have left if you cry while reading the OP
(3) If the OP main character as an animal pet of some kind
= Throw down another (1) if it's cute
= Throw down another (1) if your mom would think it's cute
= Throw down another (2) if your dad would think it's cute
(2) OP main character is 20 years old or younger or otherwise described as being a teenager
(1) OP main character is a thief
(3) OP main character cries at any point in the OP, even just a little
(1) OP main character has no last name
(4) OP main character is described as being lonely or acts like he/she is lonely
(3) OP main character is evil or villainous in the OP
= Or make everyone else take (3) if the evil main character actually does something evil in the OP
= Make someone else take (1) if the evil main character laughs evilly in the OP
= Everyone must drink (2) if the evil character's appearance is overtly evil
= Your mom must drink your remaining drinks if the evil character kills another player's character in the same thread
(1) OP main character is wearing a cape of some kind
(2) Drinks if the OP main character is wearing mostly black
(You win) If the OP main character punches a cat in the OP
General Criteria
(1) Thread starts with the word "the"
(1) OP starts in a bar/tavern
(2) OP has a fight in it
(2) A thread in Connlaoth that starts with a magic using character
= Take another (2) if said magic using characters uses magic in the first post
(1) Humor/comedy in the OP made you laugh out loud
(2) The OP is very long (2 1/2 to 3 screens to view it all)
(2) OP has characters that speak in a different font color
= Take another (2) if they also speak in italics/bold, or just (2) if only italics/bold
(1) OP contains two of the person's player characters
= Or take (2) instead if it's 3+ characters
(3) OP's narrative uses profanity in a non-thought context
(1) OP does not include a character description and there is no link to one in the signature
(3) OP is less than five sentences long
(1) An NPC guard is present in the OP
= Take another (2) if they fail at guarding or are easily overcome
(2) Nudity is described in the OP
= Take another (2) if the OP main character is the exposed one
(2) OP contains slavery, including slave auctions
(1) There is very little description of the setting in the OP
= Or take (3) if there is no description of the setting in the OP
(1) The poster of the OP has a .gif as their avatar or in their signature
(2) Drinks after you skim the first page and a character you've RP'ed with comes into the thread
(3) There are no paragraph breaks in the OP when there should be
(4) A character in the OP has an apostrophe in their name
(1) Drink for each typo in the OP, up to 3 drinks
(3) You groan out loud or are otherwise annoyed because of a cliche in the OP
(5) OP is written in first-person perspective
(1) OP starts immediately with dialogue
= Take another (1) if that dialogue sentence ends with an !
(2) The OP takes place at night
= Or just take (1) if there is no distinction of the time of day
(3) Weapons or other items not originating from this time/planet are used in the OP
(2) There is an explosion in the OP
(You win) If there is a reference to Chuck Norris facts somewhere in the OP's narrative
