The air seemed to change. The winds began to pick up and the sun was covered by dark clouds. Arin could tell a storm was rising. But she wasn't ready to leave the rock she sat upon and return home just yet. It was the man who she met months ago.

He was a handsome sailor with deep blue eyes, like her own. She was swimming one day by the islands. She didn't check to see if any humans were on the shore. She swam gracefully through the water, back and forth, her blue scales shining in the sun. And during her backstroke is when she noticed him.

She was going to flee when something caught her eye. It was his face. On it was a beautiful smile. Not a fearful face, or a surprised face, but a smiling one. She slowed down just to watch him longer before she disappeared under the waves.

And the next day she returned and he was there. A smile appeared on his handsome face. So she talked to him, got to know him. And slowly they fell in love.

He told her to wait for him on the rock one day. She asked why. How could he meet with her out in the ocean? But he insisted. So she agreed to wait for him.

But the winds were getting too strong, and the waves were getting wild. Ansuki slid off the rock into the waters. She didn't want to leave, but she had to.

Suddenly the waves rose and Ansuki was thrown into the air. She screamed as she sailed through the crazed winds, landing in the water a long ways away from the rock. The water took hold of her and carried her away. She was powerless against the tide. Her only choice was to let it take she away.

-----------------

Moments later Ansuki woke up. She was in a small pool of water surrounded by trees. The water was barely deep enough for her to submerge in. But that wasn't the worst part.

She was completely cut off from the ocean.

Ansuki searched, but there was no way out of the cage of trees. And if there was she only saw land. It would hurt to drag herself across the ground.

"Help!" She cried. "Help! Some one, help me!" She screamed for help, for it was all she could do.

"We're lost again,"  Hachen said walking next to his pig who snorted at his comment, "No way, last time you 'navigated' we ended up lost in Draconi Forest,"  Pig snorted again so Hachen continued, "so I suppose you don't remember the dragon that was there too."  Pig snorted again and looked away while they walked on.

Neither of them had a clue of where they were, they had lost thier map a few days ago and had wandered here by chance.  Hachen supposed that's what traveling was all about, but frankly this was one of the more boring parts.

As they dragged on Hachen heard a scream for help.  He and pig looked at each other in surprise and then tey both ran towards to voice.  So many thoughts raced through his head, Who is out here, why, what's wrong, and most importantly, did they have food?

Hachen and pig burst through the trees to find Arin in the shallow pool of water.  "Umm..."  Is all Hachen could say to the strange sight.  He'd never seen merfolk, let alone in a shallow pool of water.  "Is this a normal thing for merfolk or is something seriously out of place here?"  Hachen asked sincerely, he wanted to make sure he wasn't inturrupting anything before he started acting heroic...ish.
