After reading up on this very interesting religion, I began contemplating on starting a new storyline in the Serengeti which would be the closest thing to Norway in my eyes.

It struck me as I was reading up on the culture of Norway and how the fact that Christianity is in that country yet, it being in that country makes the people that attend it's church a contradiction to themselves. I am thinking of starting a religious movement from the serengeti to other possible places, sort of like the crusades yet, I'm not sure how violent, if at all, it will be.

The thoughts are still early in my head and will come to me as I work with them more. I will write up some of the stuff I have tomorrow to give everyone a taste of what you can sort of expect from it.

If you have any suggestions/idea's/questions, feel free to post them.

I know a bit about Odin and stuff. Him and his six-legged horse... Sounds good!

Very nice, you will be of use then! I'm thinking about hitting the library tomorrow before my eye appointment, so I'll see what I can pick up.

I was stumbling over my thoughts today (now looking up foods, of course) when I came across the whole odin thing.. and thought... 'oh my god, we could have an army of Valkyries!'

and then went on to think something along the lines of if we combined several religions into a new one, it would be awesome. Maybe add aspects of Greek and stuff, because I know a lot about the Greek myths and stuff, and maybe also British myths and stuff.

Just a thought or two.

Kanina, that would be awesome! O_O

A great way to start conflict, in real life and fantasy, is to bring in religion! Bwahah. It would indeed be fun to whip up some organized religions and introduce them into the game and see what happens.

exactly what I was thinking, I've been reading Full Circle religoiously (just ask blue) and well, the book itself makes me sad....seeing the very thing I love, communism, destroy my homeland the way it did and such. Makes me think of my grandpa (full blooded pole) and what he must have gone through... Hmmmm, wasn't there something on the old intro board that had something to do with some sort of religion in sote, similar to christianity? I think it was in the lore section....can't remember...but, I was thinking of getting a slew of them and adding them into the kingdoms, which could make the game ALOT more fun. I have somethings I'll be noting to you rhi to read over about "the northern darkness" and what i have planned so be on the look out for that. As for Odin, if you have ANY A N Y info PLACE IT HERE!!!!!! I've been on the hunt for that like none other lately, any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Rhindeer

I don't really have any information about the religion similar to Christianity that was being created...all I know is that some people have some characters set around that idea, and that's how I learned of it!

Uuum...then, other religions...

The "Death" religion is prominant in Necromantia. Then, on the mainlands, there's that mystery religion that's close to Christianity, then there's a bunch of polytheistic nature-based ones...hmm...
