here it is, the sonnet that i will be reading to my english class tomorrow:

It helps me through the tough times in life,
And when nothing goes my way.
Cutting through depression like a keen-edged knife.
Brightening even the darkest day.

It keeps me standing strong.
When the drama’s too much for me to meet,
I just turn on a favorite song.
Many think that my music is

But to you the ignorant I tell you this:
Learn more first, and then come back to me.
I listen to it every chance I get, in the sun or in the rain;
It’s what keeps me going in life; it’s what keeps me sane.
