Whisps of dark brown hair fell into mahogany eyes as calloused hands quickly jotted down yet another order before producing a false smile and walking back to the kitchen. Once she was safely tucked away in the corner, and out of both the constomers and her fathers eyes she let out a deep sigh and pressed a glass of water to her lips, guzzling down the suddenly wonderful liquid. Only after this did she notice the cooks eyes upon her.

The head cook was an older muscular man who always told tales of how life used to be when he was the chef on a pirate ship. Half of the town believed him, and the other half always found him amusing enough to never question him. Even still he had become like a second father to her.

'Take it easy Kiki. How about you let one of the other waitresses do some work for a change?'

She smiled at him, brightly this time, not the dead twitching of her lips that she had given the loud family of four foreigners only moments before.

"Now what would be the fun in that."

With that and a small wink she grabbed the two platters before her blanacing one in each hand and holding them high above her head, arm muscels easily carrying all of the food.

This same ruitine happened at least several times during that day... until the sun began to set and she could finally breath easily. Leaning against the bar counter as she absent-mindedly wiped a wash cloth over it and spoke to both the head cook and the lithe kitchen boy and one of her playmates when she was a child. The shop wasn't closed yet, but at least the place had slowed down enough for her to breathe.

Yet again, Felina was nearly out of money.

It didn't really matter to her whether she had money or not. She could always rely on the wilderness for sustenance. But every once in a great while, she would grow weary of hunting and have a warm meal in a village of some sort.

Yet she was almost broke, maybe enough for one more hot meal. She then realized that she couldn't spend her whole life wandering this vast world. She needed a job.

The cat-girl was in luck, because she had just arrived in a town called Ketra. This was a perfect opportunity for her to find some work for herself, and to put her skills to good use. So she wandered into the town, her cat tail swaying to her barefoot steps, her cat ears perking to the many sounds of activity.

After a few minutes of walking, she came to a restaurant, a promising place for a job. With her travel pack filled with spices and herbs slung over her back, she entered the establishment, eying the place as she did. Seemed comfortable enough, she decided. She took a seat at the bar counter, waiting for someone to come and take her order.

Kishi saw the young woman as she walked in and immediately noticed she was a foreigner, but her natural hostility wouldn’t help her fathers business… so with the same half dead smile she walked behind the bar counter until she was in front of the woman.

“May I take your order, Miss… or would you like a menu?

She pulled a pad and pen out from under the counter ready to get rid of this girl as soon as necessary. In the moment she had before the girl could answer she looked back to the head cook and the kitchen boy she had been previously speaking with to see them both shaking their heads at her.

Felina looked at the woman ready to take her order and smiled. "Hi, can I see a menu, please?" she asked politely, setting her bag full of rare spices and herbs next to her.
