Physical Description:
Tall, lanky, and unattractive, Wallace Hope looks like bad news. Greasy black hair falls limply over his face. His nose is crooked, and his face is covered in acne. His voice is deep- but it's awkwardly deep, as if he hasn't quite grown into it yet. His hooded robe is a faded red color.

Wallace carries a very large oak wood stave. It has an absolutely massive citrine crystal as it's centerpiece, and the entire thing weighs about thirty pounds. The stave belonged to his father, and it is worth quite the pretty penny.

Personality:
Pacifistic by nature, Wallace detests violence with a passion. He firmly believe that people should not hurt one another under any circumstances, and he tries his hardest to lead by example. Wallace would much rather talk things out with people than raise a fist in anger.

If only people would hear him out.

You see, Wallace is a creepy, awkward weirdo who raises the dead to do his bidding. It doesn't matter that he only wants to help people, not when he has difficulty explaining why people shouldn't fear him and his magic. His social ineptitude has caused him to shoot himself in the foot time and time again, and he's been run out of more towns than he can count. Wallace tries to stay optimistic, and hopes that someday he'll find somebody who will accept him and his magic.

Relationships:
Wallace's father is long dead, and Wallace would very much like to step out of his shadow and be seen as his own person.

Wallace's mother is alive, and the two get along for the most part.

Magic/Abilities:
As a necromancer, Wallace has the ability to reanimate the dead to serve his own purposes. While the majority of necromancers typically use this ability for evil, Wallace is different. He's come to realize that while you can use necromancy to make a loyal army, zombies and skeletons are just as good at manual labor as they are at fighting. Construction projects that would take humans a few weeks to accomplish only take a matter of days for a team of zombies- after all, they don't need to eat or sleep, and can work non-stop.

Wallace's stave helps him to channel his powers more effectively. His own capacity for magic is fairly weak, lacking the raw power his father had. If he tried to raise any more than twenty zombies at once, he'd pass out- and that's with his stave amplifying his abilities. Without it, he could only manage three or four.

History:
The son of a evil warlock, Wallace Hope knows the horrors of necromancy all too well. His father, Alabaster Hope, had dreams of conquering the province of Darken Vei with an army of undead soldiers. After planning for years, Alabaster made his move when Wallace was only seven years old. The resulting battle between Darken Vei's military and the undead was horrific- and because Alabaster wanted an heir to take his place when he died, he made Wallace watch the entire thing.

Alabaster, of course, lost- he was killed rather unceremoniously after a week of fighting. The Hope family was disgraced, and the young Wallace was thoroughly traumatized by the atrocities he had witnessed. He and his mother ended up going into hiding- the population of Darken Vei was calling for their blood.

It's been fifteen years since then, and Wallace has poked his head out of the shadows. He'd like to atone for the sins of his father, and he wants to do it by proving that necromancy isn't inherently evil. There are so many positive applications for it, if you'd only give it a chance!

So far, nobody has.
