This thread takes place after some events that happened
here. Feel free to read if you wish, if not that's fine! But it explains why she's so infatuated with this one item in my post~

Her pride was hurt more than one could know, to have lost the bid on the vanity she most absolutely
had to have left her grieving. So what if it was just some piece of furniture? The sculpture of the wood made the piece a work of art, and now as she sat at her own, lack luster vanity at home, she gave way to a sigh and deposited her kohl away. She always liked to wear the green kind, as they accented her eyes the most, but today she just didn't care. She felt wounded and vulnerable, where she normally stood with pride, today it was just too difficult to get herself to feel as if she had worth.
Silly, it was, yes, but here in Essyrn, as a merchant prince or princess, you had to spend money to make money and to keep yourself known among your own class. And the high class merchants were a ruthless bunch. And just because she was bested out of the auction didn't mean she couldn't pay to find another vanity of equal opulence. And the idea of it perked her up a bit when she decided to go into Essyrn to do a bit of shopping. So she rounded up the usual servants and slaves and departed, making her way down the city streets towards the bustling market place. And it was especially busy that day. She had to push her way through the crowds to get anywhere
near the woodworkers tent, and when she got there, she wilted a bit to see he was not there. His child explained the father had gone home early. He was ill and could not bring any of his new craft works there that day. And when Evelyn Gray let her eyes scan the wares, she saw nothing of interest and turned away, feeling defeated.
Not ready to go home, but feeling quite out of place and a tad bit paranoid as the
Essyrnis stared at her and whispered as they usually did, she ordered her small caravan to move about with her towards the river cafe so as to eat before returning back to her home on the Niafi River, in the West Valley.
Tea...
Hopefully tea would make her feel better, but as she sipped at her cup, she felt anything but relieved. Perhaps there was something else she could purchase? Something else to keep her mind at ease? And as she moved a hand to brush her blond hair from her face, her hands brushed against something that was
not there. And her hand froze in place.
Her earring!
It was
gone!
