Sunniva let out a shaky sigh, head ducked down.

"I'll be fine, Father," Sunniva said gently, reaching for his forearm to give it a squeeze, "Thank you for all you've done for me. Tell Titus goodbye and I hope to meet him some day again soon," She smiled and was slowly guided away, her fingers not leaving Mercuxio's arm until she was too far away to reach. Sunniva's chest ached and she quickly moved her hand to her neck, hating the strange hollow feeling there. They were never going to meet again and it pained her to think, but it was probably for the best.

Finally, at the last minute she turned around, smiling sadly and waving "Good luck on your journey, I wish every happiness to your future!"

"Farewell, Lady Avarali," Mercuxio waved back. He watched her for a time as they dragged her off. He felt something churning inside of him, a waning feeling that made his chest ache.

He moved back to Titus and mounted the horse. Although the animal seemed reluctant to move. "I know ol' boy. You want some rest too. We'll find some respite soon. I promise you."  He turned the horse and directed him back out of the gates, which were promptly shut behind him.
