He drew his great head up, as if she'd insulted him, and shot a hurt look her way. Until he asked himself the same question, that is, in which case his face became a grave one, one disturbed. His tail lashed outward, breaking the circle, and his wings flared.

These questions racked his mind as he brooded on the mountain peak, pacing back and forth compulsively, all the while rumbling angrily.
