Physical Description
Theodore is a tall, gangly-looking young man. His body is not disproportionate, it's just that no matter how much of his mother's cooking he eats, he never grows anyway but up. He is a beanpole and a bit embarrassed by it. But, his hazel eyes are always bright and his smile kind. Theodore keeps his mouse-brown hair cut short, although those pesky bangs have a tendency to grow out faster than the rest and fall into his eyes. He also has a closely-trimmed van dyke beard that he is quite proud of. Without it he looks like a teenager all over again.

Personality
Already quiet by nature, Theodore's deafness and size have made him very shy. He does not speak often, but when he does it is always in low, soft tones, as if to speak any louder would frighten away the listener. He prefers his solitude to people as it means not having to bear the looks of curiosity and judgement others often send his way. Theodore is very sweet and caring though. Children are his favorite people to deal with as they often have the greatest imaginations and the least prejudice.

His parents are both alive and well. Theodore's mother is always attempting some social or other in order to introduce her unwed son to the next eligible young lady. Meanwhile his father makes himself scarce. The two rarely interact with each other. Family dinners are quite awkward affairs between the two of them.
History
Theodore has had a happy if simple life. His parents are a baron and baroness. They all live comfortably in their home with a handful of servants. Ivory, his mother has always tried to smother him and as a child did manage to succeed. His father, Pascal though was usually absent, either on business affairs or just locked up in his study.
Young Archer grew up with a love of books and music. From a young age he was almost always found tapping out some tune with his nose in a book. For his tenth birthday his father bought him his most treasured present, a pianoforte.
The summer of his twelfth birthday, Theodore spent in bed with a debilitating illness. After several months of ups and downs, he finally got better and was on his feet again. Sadly, his family quickly discovered that he had lost complete hearing in both ears.
He was heartbroken. His beautiful music had been silenced to him forever. Yet, despite this tragedy he continued to play his piano, reading the music and pretending he could still hear the notes that once before made his heart soar. Theodore continues to play, making a small living off teaching young children and playing for small events.
