((Brought to you by late night boredom and many suggestive winks from the Ravenloft setting's Core Rulebook... XD
All cultural and social information is generic stuff, as with all societies deviations are bound to happen.))

Ecology: Full, thriving.

Terrain: Mountains, plains and forests.

Climate: Temperate. Connlaoth's weather is mild in fall and spring. Its summers are a tad humid and its winters are cold with light to medium snowfall. Rainfall is fairly even throughout the seasons and most storms occur in spring and early/mid summer. Ball lightning is an eerily common phenomenon along the western border.

Inhabitants: Humans make up the majority of Connlaoth's population, though no particular ethnic type predominates among them. Their skin color ranges from fair (and often freckled) to a deep brown. Leucistic albinism is uncommon (but more common than typically normal). Hair is commonly red (bright and firey to dark auburn) or brown (fawn to near black), black and blonde hair occurs in some families. Every once in a while a Connlaothian will have very dark red hair that looks black unless they're in the light. These people usually stain their hair black to avoid unwanted suspicion. Eye colors run the gamut, though those with oddly colored (or bi-colored) eyes are often suspected of magic use. Among non-humans, those that aren't overtly magical are accepted (though some humans can be slightly bigoted).
--Dress: Connlaoth's population typically shies from robes or solid colored clothing with non-military glyphs. Slits are commonly cut into sleeved shirts or tunics with long tails or dresses that reach the ankles.
Women are free to dress in skirts or pants as they please with no social stigma. Though, wearing a skirt will arose much suspicion for a man, and not just about his sexual orientation...
The most popular footwear among Connlaothians are leather boots that almost reach the knee and cling snugly to the wearer's calves. Through the years it has been fashionable to accent these boots with feathers, fur, lacings, embossing, and the currently trendy, embroidery around the mouth of the boot (typically simple non-offensive designs like shapes). Sandles and simple shoes are also worn.
Pants are typically solid colored and most prefer them cut with a thin lower leg that can be tucked into their boots. Cuts that can impose on others' personal space like trapazoid pants or pouffy breeches are typically frowned upon.
Skirts and dresses are either solid or patterned and commonly fall to the middle of the shins, anything longer will have knee length slits on the sides. Some young unmarried women wear knee length or higher skirts, their hems falling just below mid thigh at the highest. Skirts with hems above mid thigh are considered whorish.
Upper bodywear ranges from long sleeved shirts and coats to sleeveless shirts and vests. Long coats are strictly military so most end at the hip. Cuts are quite varied and more are solid colored than patterned. Exposing the shoulders is considered pretty for women's shirts/tunics. Plunging necklines are acceptable for both genders as long as they don't expose anything below the waist. It's considered old fashioned to wear a corset above the shirt.
Jewelry, for those that can afford it, is simple and geometric. Some prefer pendants shaped like a leaf. The most popular gemstones are emeralds and other green stones, followed by amber. Wearing a gemstone pendant in a contrasting color to the dominant one in one's outfit is currently vogue.
Long haired Connlaothians are fond of wearing ponytails and/or braids (one or many). There is no social stigma against women that wear their hair short or men that wear their hair long. Those that have hair that frizzes a lot in the heat often wear head wraps during the summer. Fancy combs are becoming popular among some young Connlaothian women.
