When the door opened, Tessa LeSage jumped back like a frightened animal, her grip tightening on the rim of her white harp like it was the deadliest weapon made. Well, in her hands, it could be. Calming her nerves slightly, catching her breath, the druidic bard of a spirit involuntarily made the earth quiver before she was perfectly calm once more. Eyeing the food, she started “Ah â€" I don’t -â€? She paused, starting to say 'eat' before she doulbe thought that, scratching her neck beneath the mass of pale blue hair. “Thanks.â€? She stated, as if in resignation.

The normal, almost fixed smile found itself on her features as she placed both beloved harp and flute on a surface; humming an improvised tune, and letting her grin broaden at the sound of songbirds returning it.

Once Lexloth heard the thanks, he proceeded into the room and laid the tray of food on one of the beds. He sat next to the food and picked up an apple from the bowl to simply polish it and take a quick bite. He doesn't normally eat fruit. His type of meal would have to be flesh of some kind, being what he is. It doesn't bother him either way.
"Don't ya fret, love. I'll git ya ta love me eventually. This sort of thing takes a bit of time." Lexloth notes before he takes another bite.

Watching Lexloth move across, Tessa sighed quietly. She should probably force herself to eat â€" again. Afterall; it didn’t hurt. Glancing out of a window, she couldn’t help it â€" she had to open it. Sparrows were lined against the windowsill from the outside, looking in in interest. Once the barrier was lifted; one brave bird hopped into the room, fluttering to Tessa’s shoulder, chirping like an old friend. “If your not quiet you’re going back out.â€? Tessa informed the songbird, scoldingly. The bird fell silent as the spirit reached out, grabbing a pear for herself, shredding various pieces between her nails, offering it to the bird before her attention rested on the werewolf â€" the ego was there; but Tessa didn’t know what it was. Figures.

“I have all the time in the world. Which was pretty much true.

Lexloth continued to smile at Tessa as she opened the window to greet the bird and such. He was just about to say something to the woman he has fallen for when he could suddenly feel the aura of the room ripple a bit. That was odd. Not too long after that feeling, a being seemingly drops down from the cieling and lands in between the two beds. This startles the birds and they all fly off. Lexloth looks up before taking a look at the being that fell from the cieling. No hole, but how the hell did he get in here. He glances down to see what seems like an awefully tall gargoyle. The first thing Lexloth notices is the wicked scythe of the beast's back. He's armed. His skin tone is a dark blue. He has four horns that curve back with his long, black hair. The gargoyle’s attire consists of a pair of blood red, baggy pants and a tattered black shirt. His wings are huge. They seem like they top fifteen feet in length. The gargoyle stands up and Lexloth instantly reaches for his gun. The nearly seven foot beast looks around the room with his pupiless violet glow he calls eyes. He spots Tessa and smiles before continuing to look around. His vision stops at Lexloth, who is currently holding him at gun point.
"Is this Earth?" The Gargoylish figure asks with a monsterously deep voice. Not something Lexloth was expecting.

Tessa’s placid mind was elsewhere at the time of the gargoyle’s arrival â€" though the combination of the thud of his debut, as well as the songbirds shrieking sparrow-insults and fleeing in a whirlwind of brown feathers, was enough to grab anyone’s interest. Her heart skipped a bit in a surge of irrational fear as her wings tore from the pale skin at her back, as well as the material of her shirt at the back with an audible rip. Fingers splayed in front of her as her lime green eyes glowed violently, the ground giving a violent tremor â€" but it stopped as soon as she voiced his question. Dropping her hands to her sides, in control of herself once more, the earth elemental gave the tiniest of nods.

Lexloth kept his gun pointed at the creature even after hearing him speak. He didn't want to take any chances, especially with Tessa around.
"Aye, this be Earth. Mind tellin' me what yer doin' here though?" Lexloth answered and voiceed his own question. The gargoylish figure kept his pupiless eyes on Lexloth as a wide smile crossed his face.
"Finally! I've been waiting decades to get here! Forgive the intrusion, stranger. The portal I took randomly ported me here." The beast explained, wrapping his massive hands around Lexloth's gun and his hands as if meaning to give him a hearty handshake. He didn't seem too bothered by the gun. He's too happy, really. He then turned to Tessa and gave her a greatful nod and walked passed her to open the window more. He then lept out the window and gave his massive wing span a mighty flap and took to the sky. Lexloth merely stood there with his gun still pointed out, a bit confused by the whole ordeal.

The glow faded as she dropped her hands to the side, staring at the gargoyle. Her gaze followed him as he opened the window and, mildly gracefully, flew off. Tessa’s solid-green stare remained momentarily on the window, before she fluttered her blue-feathered wings, feeling them retract back, almost disintegrating into her; the pale skin then sealing over the wound that would have been left by two ridiculously large wings tearing from her shoulder blades. Pleasant, isn’t it?

Turning so she glanced at Lexloth, still pointing the gun into the air beside him, Tessa ran two pale hands through her lengthy, pale-blue hair. “That was…unexpected. She declared weakly, glancing at her harp subconsciously, like it was her best friend.

Lexloth blinked a few times before Tessa's words finally registared. He slowly lowered his gun before putting it away and turned back to Tessa.
"Yea, that was most intrestin', love. We should pro'bly go before any otha wierdos pop outta nowhere." Lexloth explains as he goes to collect his coat before moving towards the door to simply open it and stand there to wait for Tessa.

“Yeah…yeah. Tessa stated, trailing off as she picked up her white-wood harp, sliding it into place at her back; moving to tie the flute to her waist, securing it with what looked like a vine; one of the vines that she had seen outside when letting the bird in. Turning; she smiled slightly as he opened the door.

Only problem was, she was already standing just outside the door. Well; sort of.

A woman who looked like Tessa in every way, except for the solid blue eyes, stood, a fan covering the lower half of her face â€" blue and black silk, spread over metal pikes that formed blades along the top â€" delicate looking, yet incredibly deadly. This newcomer also wore decidedly less than innocent Tessa â€" to be medieval about it, the new woman wore nothing more than a loincloth and a breastband. “Why, hello Tessa.â€? The woman drawled, snapping the bladed fan shut with a decisive snap; looking straight past the large man. “Having fun, I see.â€?

“Maylin. Tessa muttered, nodding her head slightly, warily.

When Lexloth opened the door, he didn't immediately look out. So, when Maylin began to speak, it slightly startled Lexloth. He turned around to seewho it was and opened his eyes a bit. Oh yes, this was a strange morning. If he were still the old Lexloth, he would have started to hit on Maylin instantly, but now his heart is currently on a mission. He believes that nothing will come between him and the mission.
"Well, 'ello there. Relation ta Tess or sumtin'?" Lexloth questions Maylin with a smile on his face. Her appearance is most appealing, but that's what he's not looking at. He's trying not to look at that.

Maylin sized the man up with pupil-less, dark blue eyes. Raising an eyebrow, she twirled the delicate, deadly fan â€" or shukusen, as it was sometimes known as â€" in her left hand, undoubtedly having more, stowed between her skin and the waistline of her loincloth. “Yes, actually. I’m her younger sister,â€? the water and ice elemental informed him as she pushed past; the sharp end of the shukusen catching the light and reflecting it. “Well well, sis. It’s been a while since your little trial mishap. Miss me? You know, Candace and Thyra are both out there, looking for me, and do you know why?â€? Maylin pondered, still twirling the shut fan.

Tessa watched dully, the tension between the two so thick you could cut it with a knife. “Why, water witch? Why would they be looking for you? She asked, knowing that was what her sister wanted to hear.

“Because they know I want to kill you.

Lexloth listened to the siblings chat amongst themselves intently. He was completely calm about the whole situation until Maylin mentioned wanting to kill Tessa. That's around the time Lexloth decided to take action. For the first time infront of Tessa, the lychanthrope shifts into his bestial form. It's amazing how his clothes still fit him perfectly, even though he's a bit taller now. He also looks more like a dingo than a wolf. Price for being Australian, supposedly. He wraps his arms around Maylin and picks her up into a bearhug.
"There will be none of that while I am around." Lexloth notes with a much deeper and a bit more echoish tone. He wasn't about to let anyone go near Tessa. His heart counted on it.

Maylin sighed slightly as she was picked up' her eyes boredly scanning the larger, more muscular dingo-like form of the man. "Men. So stupid; when will they learn?" Maylin grumbled, before seeming to vanish. In reality, and do to the trickle of icey coldness along Lexloth's chest, Maylin had changed into water - and, once hitting the ground and slithering back a few steps, the  water rose and hardened to form the scantily clad Maylin, two fans now out; one in either hand. Letting her blue eyes survey the dingo-man, she shook her head. "Poor misunderstanding dogbreath. I presume you're in love with her? Men usually are. Strange that, since she doesn't even know what it is." Moving quickly, the water elemental spirit moved around Tessa; the many knife-blades of the fan pressed to Tessa's throat.

Tessa blinked; staring first at Lexloth's new form, then at the fanpressed to her throat. Sighing, she bit her tongue. What could she do, with her powers, that / wouldn't/ destroy the inn?

Intresting trickery this one has. This could make matters more difficult, more intresting. Lexloth wasted no time when Maylin reformed. Two steps forward and he lunges at her to tackle both of them out the window. Tessa was not going to die while Lexloth was around. He was going to make sure of that.

Maylin grinned at the dingo, the blades pressing into the pale skin, figuring he wouldn’t actually do anything â€" as the water spirit was using Tessa as a sort of human (er, spiritual) shield. Ooh she was wrong. Solid blue eyes closed once; and then she found her body flying, both Tessa and her shukusen out of her grasp.

Heres trick number two for the LeSages. Wings.

Tessa was the first to recover herself, her large, feathery blue wings ripping from her shoulder blades, flaring to catch an updraft, holding her slender form aloft, beating slowly as she rightened herself, lungs working to catch her breath as she moved her hands infront of her â€" ready to call the earth itself to her bidding.

Sadly; Maylin had the same idea. Inches above the ground, Maylin forced her own, navy blue, leathery, bat-like wings through her skin, beating the air hard to lift herself up and away from the hard ground, her face, innocent, twisted into rage. “So, dogbreath, you’re stronger than I thought, she snapped, having to back away to retrieve a dropped shukusen before rising slightly, looking down at the dingo. “You won’t touch me this time, she mocked, flaring her wings to rise higher as she twirled; making the rain fall in a sudden downpour. This water made Tessa’s feathery wings drag, her body slowly drifting downwards, giving Maylin the clear advantage of flight.

Lexloth somersaulted down to the ground to land on his feet hard. He looks up to the sky before standing and quickly shifting back into his human form before the rain begins. That's not a very fair advantage over Tessa. Looks like Lexloth will have to even the odds. He reaches into his trench coat to pull out his gun and aims up at the bat winged woman.
"Sorry, love." Lexloth speak only loud enough for himself to hear just before pulling the trigger. The bullet rips through the air in Maylin's direction. Lexloth's aim is mostly presice and her wing should have a hole in it very soon.

Anonymous

Tessa watched, her feet now on the ground, as he sister clapped her hands together, then moved them apart - her trademarked, living 'ice' sword being formed between her parting hands. Gripping the frozen, absolute zero hilt she raised it - when the bullet ripped through her wing. A horrible shriek errupted as she dropped - but what Lexloth didn't, obviously, bank on - was the fact that these two siblings were magical beings - no, creatures.

As the rain pelted down, Maylin flared her wings - injured and not, her dropping slowed - the rain that fell slid down her injured, torn wing; mending it before
