So.... a general idea of how many threads per character everyone decides to play? Do you have a limit or not? If so, what is the limit on amount? I was thinking for myself I may not do any more than 5 threads per character at any one time, but if I decide this is too much I may narrow it down to 3 instead. Just gotta work it into action to be able to tell.

Again, threads per character, not characters themselves. Curious minds wanna know...

It's really up to you. I have some characters in like 5 threads, some in none, and there is no official limit. A note on chronology as well, as long as you keep up your own timelines for your characters you're all good.

Due to the complexity of chronology, I try to only do one thread per character at a time. Don't wanna get a scar in one thread that wasn't talked about in one that happens "later". I fail at that though, so you know, I just try to be careful. Have fun, go crazy. It's your prerogative.

>_> I have too many threads to remember this
But a lot of my active civil war characters have alot :T
CHECK OUT MY LATEST SITE EVENT!
The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. You can read more about the event on the plotting page here and information page here!

I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.

Depends. I try to pack loads and then drop some when I decide I don't want to continue... Or have ones that are put aside because of my RP partners missing... but I don't actually have a limit! as much as I can handle, generally.

This brings up another matter regarding 'official timeline'. I kind of see each individual thread as an 'alternate' timeline but still fits in with the character and the setting overall.

For instance, let's say oh I don't know, one character does get injured in one thread and scars because of it later. I think it only applies to THAT thread though. At least for me it would I think. Other threads have their own timeline. Or if a character or his/her companions get killed in a thread, unless you want them to be out of the picture for good, I only see that as the end of the thread and not the actual character. True, the character (or companions) may be dead in that particular thread but elsewhere they may be alive and kicking, thriving, etc. Think of the idea of multiple alternate universes where different things could possibly happen. For one who has watched the science channel a lot the idea isn't that farfetched. They have talked about theories of that nature. And perhaps I am getting a bit off track here, but oh well.

Or is viewing it as alternate happenings the wrong way to go about it? Of course, others may choose to look at it differently and that's their choice.
