Samari leaned against an alleywall as the wine and the blood laced with alcohol and some other Lloth-damned stuff that he couldn't guess at the moment battled for supremacy over his body. Their battle making a casualty out of his eyes, which became fuzzy. He blinked, cursed under his breath and blinked again, rubbing his right temple in an effort to revive.

His one drink indulgance soon became a two drink indulgance and from there swelled into a three drink indulgance. It almost became a four drink indulgance, but not even a quarter down the fourth glass the nausea kicked in. Nausea wasn't what he was expecting, a buzz perhaps, but not nausea. So he figured he just needed a little blood and everything would settle nicely. It hadn't been terribly hard to get one of the females peppering the bar by herself.

Though, a few minutes after he drained her the reason why it'd been so easy dawned, or one could say, washed over him. On the upside, it at least the female's tainted blood put him in a nice state of intoxication. Now, if only the nausea would go away, everything would be dandy.

Scratch that. If the nausea went away, the sun took it sweet time rising, and the prickling sensation that he was being followed dissapated, then everything would be dandy.

Samari glanced over his shoulder, squinting and catching a human sized blur slip "discreetly" behind a barrel. And to think, this all started with a damn piano. His vision cleared up some and he glowered at the barrel. Maybe, if the human hadn't forgotten that it should be watching him while it hid, it would notice that he was scowling in its general direction and do smarter-dumb-thing. Realize the jig was up and save it for another day that wouldn't come if Samari could help it.

The barrel just sat there, as did the human behind it presumably. Samari couldn't stare at the barrel until it moved though, he needed to find a nice place to spend the day. So, he pushed away from the wall and took a few faltering steps forward, pausing to listen for the sound of foot steps behind him.

Nothing. Maybe he was imagining that he saw a human behind him. Intoxication and Nausea's battle over his body already screwed with his vision once, it could do so again. But, it was better to be safe than sorry. He picked up his pace, rounding a corner and seeing a flash of purple before falling on his hands and knees.

Samari's scowl deepened and he stood. Promptly falling into the purple thing, that put a hand on his shoulder to keep him from sliding to the ground again. He looked up to see a face framed with silver and black hair looking back down at him, a tall human. Quite tall in fact, Samari's head rested against the human's chest and he almost standing flat on his feet. At least the human wasn't a female. Samari smiled up at the man, who perked an eyebrow.

Samari glanced behind him a moment and then back up at the human. If someone was following him he could try to appeal to this human, and even if there wasn't this man had to have a home someplace. About time things began looking up.

"Hey nika," he slurred, trying to smile as appeasingly as he could. "Can y' help me. Sort of in a bad way, got myself poisoned."

Oris blinked, quite unsure of what to do. This man, whose black skin and red eyes unnerved him somewhat, couldn't seem to stand upright and was shivering slightly. The first course of action that presented itself involved just letting the man find someone else. It was early morning, someone would find the man if he was dragged to a main street. Besides, he had other things to do, more important things.

The sudden jab of pain between his eyebrows sent that plan to file thirteen rather quickly. He winced a little and the black skinned man's eyes widened a little.

"Did I hit a sensitive spot," the man said hesitantly, smiling meekly. He certaintly cut a pitiful picture. So pitiful that it was suspicious...

The man shied away from his hand and slipped, collapsing on the ground again. Oris relaxed his face, his suspicion deepening a little. Did the man know that his pity act wasn't having a completely positive action? Or did Oris' expression worry him? The only thing he was sure of was that the man wasn't poisoned. He looked down at the man, who looked back up at him with a blank expression.

"Have you been drinking?" It came out sounding like a command.

"A little." The man's eyes remained where they were. He was either telling the truth or he was a good liar.

"How much did you drink?"

"Three cups." Again, no movement. Come to think of it, Oris hadn't seen the man blink while he was watching him and didn't look like he was fighting back a blink.

"You live around here?"

"Nope," he giggled. Oris recoiled slightly.

The man glanced behind himself and back up at Oris in one quick motion. An action that disturbed the tail of hair hanging over the left side of his head, revealing a red blot on his white hair just above the ear. "I'm being followed," he said softly, shrinking down a bit.

The bloodstain, it had to be a bloodstain what else could it be, startled Oris. He couldn't just leave the man if the one following him put the mark on his head. The Flame was throbbing in his chest, probably wanting to add its opinion. He ignored it and pulled the man to his feet, keeping his hands on his shoulders in case his feet failed again.

"Come on, I won't drag you."

For a good while after running into the purple coated man, Samari felt that precarious hanging feeling common to dangerous situations. He was a clever one, but in the end he was still walking him...somewhere. Even though he was being helpful, Samari didn't want to let his guard down. Not with the sun coming up and the alcohol screwing him over.

At least the person following him found some other hobby. His new 'buddy' probably scared his persuer off. Even if the arm around his shoulders was only to keep him from falling down, it could be taken in a different light. Especially, since he was leaning into the stranger's arm a little and had a calm expression on his face. The purple coated man either didn't notice what he was doing, or his cleverness didn't apply to such areas.

The man turned toward a building marked 'Inn', walking into it and up to a counter behind which was a woman with an atrociously friendly smile.

"I need a room," the man said, slipping his other hand into a coat pocket.

"You..." the woman glanced from Samari to the man, her smile gradually getting dumber. "Need a room?"

"Yes," the man's eyes narrowed, like he was trying to see through the woman to figure out why she was being so odd.

"Filthy girl," Samari growled. "Don't waste our time."

The woman gave him an indignant look, and the man quirked an eyebrow.

"It'll be two gold," she held out her hand, scowling.

The man put the coins in her hand and she reached for one of the remaining room keys, all but shoving it into the man's hand. She threw the coins into a box and muttered something uncomprehensible.

Thankfully, the man didn't stick around to finish his analysis. After he got a look at the number on the key, he started for it. "Do you know her?"

Guess he wasn't finished with it. "No."

"Did you see any of the one following you?"

"I heard them."

"Was it the one who hit you?"

Samari reached a hand up to his head, blocking most of the red stain. He didn't think Lycansea would follow him around, he didn't seem like the sneaky type. The man stopped at one of the doors and opened it. No stairs, good, the last thing he needed was to trip and have someone happen upon them. Now that they were somewhere, there was no need to plant wrong impressions in passerby's heads.

The bed was the first thing Samari noticed about the room. It was small and rough looking, the fat blanket draped over it looked out of place. But, it just as appeasing as his bed back home.

"You should rest, sleep off the alcohol," the man explained, lifting his arm off Samari's shoulder.

As soon as the man's arm was off, Samari tottered to the bed and fell into it. He started to slip off and clutched onto the blanket, pulling his legs on it. "Thanks," the word came out huskier than he wanted it to, but he was too tired to think much on it. He curled up lazily, resting his head on an arm and fell asleep.

Oris sat in a big wooden chair near the window and watched the man sleep. He'd never seen anyone get to sleep that fast, they usually shifted around a little to get into a comfortable position.

Maybe it was the man's head injury. That with the alcohol would have made him weary after being awake all night. The one that gave him that injury was probably the one following him. They were probably waiting for him to leave so they could finish whatever they started.

It'd be a waste of time helping someone only to leave them to be killed...or worse.

He stood up and crept toward the bed. The man was sleeping soundly, he could barely see him breathe. If he was, then he could have a look at his head.

Oris put both hands on the end of the bed and bounced it a little.
The man didn't move.
He poked the sole of the man's boot.
No reaction.
Poked the man's hand.
Nothing. The hand was clammy to the touch.

Oris frowned, not liking this new development. He moved to the left side of the bed and sat down (thankfully the man decided to sleep on his right side). Delicately he undid the man's ponytail and set the clip holding it on a pillow. The blood matted the hair to the man's skull, making it hard to seperate. He didn't want to risk waking the man up by tugging on his hair. The man still hadn't moved.

God in Heaven, what if the reason the man appeared to slip off to sleep so easily was because he was dying! Oris lifted the man's head off his arm and held his other hand over his mouth and nose. Nothing. He put his ear close. Nothing, no sound, no little puffs. His shoulders weren't moving either. He put two fingers against the man's neck to check for a pulse.

None

Oris moved the man so he was lying on his back, pinched his nose shut and put his mouth over the man's. Breathed in slowly... breathed out... breathed in...

And the man's arms and shoulders spasmed. No, if he was spasming his hands wouldn't be on his shoulders. Oris drew back and the man recoiled away from him, raising a hand to his hair in surprise. He had an incredulous look on his face, his mouth still partly open and his eyes wide with shock.

"What were you?" he sputtered.

"You weren't breathing and didn't have a pulse. I was resuscitating you."

The man's expression didn't change. He probably wasn't familiar with the word resuscitating.

"Bringing back your pulse and breathing."

The man blinked finally, that was probably the first time tonight Oris caught him blinking. He smirked a little, sleepiness invading his expression. "Oh."

"You need medical attention. Let me heal you."

The man stared at him, his eyes narrowing like he was dissecting the request. "How?"

The question startled Oris a little. "I know a spell that will fix the wound to your head. It won't take long to cast, and you'll be able to sleep without disturbance."

The look on the man's face was as clear as printed word: Like you did just now? "Go ahead."

Oris placed his hand on the man's head and began channeling energy for the Miracle. A little gathered, enough to make his hand glow faintly, God-willing it would be enough. "Coeoitum coma" he whispered, siphoning the energy into the man's head.

The man shuddered a little after the Miracle and began to curl back up on the bed again. "That it?"

"You're cold, you should use the blanket."

"No," the man smirked a little. "This bed smells like a whore, I don't want to think about what's under this blanket."

Oris frowned a little and tilted his head to the side.

"I'll be fine," the man said in the same husky tone he used before going to sleep the first time. "Don't wake me up again."

And with that, the man curled into a tighter ball and went back to sleep. Oris retreated to the chair and sat.

Samari slept until dusk, not moving an inch since he curled up to sleep for the second time. He came around groggily and pushed himself up on his hands and knees. The previous night's wine sloshed in his stomach, the bitter scent wafting up to his mouth and nose. It would have to go, soon.

Samari flew from the bed, dashing to the nearest window and pushing it open. The wine came rushing back up as he was opening the window. It was disturbingly cool, if strong and bitter. And his hair was hanging down, damn that man for trying to play doc-

His hair was lifted off his shoulders and away from his face...

Samari coughed up one more mouthful of wine and looked behind him. The tall man was there, holding his hair back.

He stayed the whole time. Samari cringed a little, that meant he wanted something. He already tried something while he was sleeping, and probably made up that resusi-whatever story to cover for it. Even if it was true, he would have had to have been touching him to know that he wasn't breathing and didn't have a pulse...

"Thanks," Samari's voice was a little raw. He decided to play the naivéty card, no point in giving the man ideas.

"You're welcome," the man let go of Samari's hair and retreated back to his chair.

Samari eyed him warily for a moment before standing and walking to a little end table that held a pitcher and a bowl. He poured a little water in the bowl and soaked his fingers in it, threading them through the blood in his hair afterward. He massaged the stain until his fingers were dry, put them back in the water again and continued to soak his fingers and massage his hair until the blood was teased out. He raked his fingers through the length of his hair a few more times before leaving it alone.

Not knowing what kept the man in the room through the day was starting to bother him. Perhaps it would be best to do something for the man before he got a chance to ask a favor. Samari turned to face the man and walked toward him slowly, keeping a close eye on his hands.

The man clasped one hand in the other and moved back a little in the chair. Nervous was he? Good, if he could intimidate the man, maybe he wouldn't have to do anything. Samari smirked and knelt at his feet, looking up at the man's face.

He looked honestly confused. Samari grabbed both of the man's wrists and pulled both forward until the man's ear ended up near his mouth. "Let me show you my appreciation."

"What?"

Let me show you my appreciation.

Oris' mouth reacted before he got a good chance to think about what the man could mean by that. Though, when it decided to tackle it after blurting the question, he decided that it probably wouldn't lead anywhere he wanted to be...

His question seemed to throw the man for a loop. He pulled back and looked at him quizzically.

Now what?

The man pursed his lips a little. It looked like he was thinking.

Oris' wrists started to feel numb, for such a slight man he had a good grip. He tried pulling them back a little, but couldn't.

Finally, the man leaned forwards until his face and Oris' were inches apart. It was hard to glance around without seeing some part of him; his dark skin, white hair and red, red eyes.

"Trust me," the man said softly, letting his eyelids fall down his eyes a little. "Just relax."

That suggestion didn't seem any better than the first one. Though, he did feel a little tired. Maybe he was just blowing things out of porportion. Oris let out a breath he'd been holding too long and unclasped his hands.

"That's it," the man's grip loosened a little and he began rubbing his thumbs in circles on Oris' wrists. "Why don't you lean back a little, no need to sit so stiffly."

That sounded like a good idea. It wasn't possible to relax with a straight back. He slid forward in the chair a little, keeping his shoulders on the back of the chair.

"Very good," the man placed one of Oris' hands on each arm of the chair. "Keep your hands here."

Wait a minute, that was odd. Why did he need to keep his hands still? "Why?" Oris perked an eyebrow.

"You stayed up all night for me. I owe you, yes?"

Once again Oris' mouth spoke before he got a chance to think properly. "Yes."

"There's no need to worry then."

No need to worry. Oris calmed down, letting another overheld breath free.

"That's better. Now sit still," the man must have leaned down again because his face wasn't in Oris' line of sight anymore.

Oris didn't mind his dissapearance. He wasn't going to do anything bad-

!!!!

"Merciful Heavens," Oris gasped.

Balefire: I'll take the floor tonight. He can get it tomorrow.

Titanol walked up to the innkeeper.

Titanol: A one-bed room please.

She looked at him, then at the keys. She saw the hook for the room she had given that rude man yesterday.

Girl *thinking*: They only wanted it for a day, so whay not? Besides, if they aren't gone yet, it'll show him for being rude to me.

She handed Titanol a key.

Titanol: Hey, the other rooms all have two keys, could we maybe get two as well.

Girl: Uhm, uh, well... we lost one set of keys, so please bear with us.

Titanol shrugged before leading everyone upstairs....

((Sexual favors performed within, read at own risk.))

As Samari was undoing the lacing on the man's pants an interesting thought crossed his mind. Maybe this fool is actually a decent person. Some have to be if its the stereotype...

Oh well, this'll save me from having to do any genuine good deeds.

Samari stole a glance upward, the man wasn't paying attention and he still looked a little nervous. At least he wasn't as tense as he was before.

He wasn't even remotely excited though... How annoying.

Samari ran the tip of his tongue delicately along the length of the man's shaft, ending with a kiss on his head.

"Merciful heavens!!"

That wasn't the kind of reaction he'd been expecting. Samari made a face trying to keep from laughing. The air escaped through his nose and the man's sharp gasp in reply made Samari's ribs hurt from the contained laughter.

Samari circled two fingers around the man's dick and drew them up and down rythmically while he was fighting back the laughter. No need to accidentally bite down on him...

The motion of his fingers got the man's blood flowing. And, thankfully, he didn't have any more amusing outbursts. He was looking up at the ceiling. Samari perked an eyebrow.

He kissed the man's head again, this time taking it into his mouth and trailing the back of one nail down to stroke the edges of the man's balls. He quivered. Samari grinned a little and pulled back, licking both sides of the man's shaft before taking it in his mouth again.

Oris was not only looking at the ceiling, he also had his eyes closed. His forehead felt very warm and his chest was buzzing.

Literally buzzing. The Flame wanted out so badly that it was using a different signal to try getting his attention. From it's point of view it probably thought he was being attacked. Oris ignored the sword, shutting his eyes tight. As long as the buzzing wasn't followed by the-

Eh?

The door opened and he heard someone make a quip about room service. He heard (and felt) the other man make a choking noise. Puzzled, he looked down and saw that the man was... using his mouth on him.

It was oddly comforting, for a second he thought he was having a particularly vivid flashback.

The man looked utterly mortified. He was staring at the newcomers, his pupils wide with surprise. After looking at them for a moment the man glanced up at him. and arced an eyebrow.

Oris had no idea of what he was supposed to say or do at this moment. He blinked and swept a few sweaty black bangs out of his eyes. He looked directly at the newcomers and blinked again.

The man went back to... whatever he had been doing and Oris breathed sharply, his face getting quite red. "H - *gasp* hello," he said softly.

"Well hot damn, room service that actually "services" you." said a person Samari figured wasn't the one in the chair...

He started, inadvertantly gagging himself. After freeing his airway, so to speak, he glanced over at the intruder.

Who was part of a trio apparently, some of group of black wearing - oh hells!!

Samari's eyes widened considerably when he saw the red haired drow in their number. And he thought the eldest son of his birth house's Matron was an ogre! That kid was puny compared to this male. He was glad he chose to sit down instead of performing on his hands and knees. He scooted a little closer to the man in the chair anyway.

What if they were his companions?? Samari looked up to find the man in the chair looking down at him. He looked confused. If these weren't his people then who where they? He arced an eyebrow and the man in the chair turned to the trio at the door.

No need to worry... too much. He gradually worked his way back into the rythm he had before getting shocked out of it. Though, he kept an ear open to pick up what was being said.

Was whoever was talking earlier talking to him again? He paused a moment and scowled. Didn't he see that he was busy?

"Watching?" the man in the chair's voice positively dripped with nervousness. He made a noise halfway between a gasp and a sigh and shifted a little, probably trying to keep his body from doing what it wanted to. Silly uptight surface dwellers...

A few drops of sweat began running down the sides of Oris' face.

This was, quite possibly, one of the most odd and awkward situations he'd ever been in. It was the casualness all the others in the room had toward it that was the weirdest thing.

Maybe there really wasn't anything wrong with it? There was always a chance that he was just blowing everything out of context. Not all creatures were- !!!

Oris' eyes bugged a bit and he put a hand to his chest. His breathing became erratic and he leaned forward a bit.

Something brushed against his forehead and he glanced up. Red, the man stopped doing... what he was doing and was looking up at him, one eyebrow perked. "What's going on?"

Oris opened his mouth to answer but a spasm from his chest cut his voice off. He scooted the chair back, closed his coat and stood, dashing for the room's little bathroom soon after.

Samari blinked. That, was a first...

He sat in the vacant chair and fluffed his hair.

Samari hiked one shoulder and smirked. Like he knew what was up with the man, they only met last night.

Enter the skinny boy's question and the reactions of his two companions. All three amused Samari. The same playful cruelty he used during last night's meeting with the dark elf woman reared it's head again.

He crossed his legs and rested both hands on his knee. He licked his lips and smiled suggestively, tilting his head to the side so hair fell like a curtain alongside it. "Some of what?"

Samari's eyebrow twitched when the kid announced that it was just a joke. His eyes narrowed and he scowled. Damn, he walked right into that one... should have been more aloof.

Pop pop

Samari's eyes widened a bit and his skin became ashen for a second. Maybe it was good idea the kid was playing. He didn't like the way that big drow, Bellfire or whatever his name was, reacted. After another quick look at the other drow, Samari shrank back in his seat a bit.

((Heh heh the evolution of Samari's facial expressions in this post: pic))

Balefire: Can't say I blame him! Most drow look like, well, him. Besides, can you honestly say that I didn't intimidate you when we first met?

Titanol: Intimidate, yes. Scare, no. Personally, though, my first thought was 'hey, wonder if he'd do me?'

Balefire: Yeah right.

Titanol: What, basically that was it.

Balefire: Tch. Whore.

Samari raised an eyebrow and considered what might happen if he kept provoking the other drow. There was a distinct chance that he would beat the tar out of him, but Balefire didn't know he was a vampire. He still had an ace in the hole.

Plus, it was amusing to see the big boy get worked up.

Samari stood up and flipped his hair back, afterwards planting the hand on his hip and leaning into it. He looked up at Balefire and smiled playfully. "Let's see it then," he said huskily.

He stared wide eyed at the skinny boy. The first coherant thought that entered his head didn't really have anything to do with the situation. It was that his butt was sore from it's sudden reintroduction to the chair. It took a moment for his mind to register what was going on.

His boyfriend stealing this one's boyfriend?
Getting the plumbing checked??
What was going on?

He glanced over at the man in the chair, who gave him a pitiful 'they're running circles around me and I'm getting dizzy' look.
"Say that again?"

Thank the Lord another of the people had a sensible question. Even if it would be a bit hard to explain. Maybe he could get away with explaining the basics of what happened. "I had an attack. I needed space to cool down."

Samari's eye twitched a few times and his formerly smug grin twisted into a sneer. He stood and ran a hand through his hair, his expression cooling down somewhat. "Let's get his opinion on the matter then," he snarled. Apparently, all the irritation that was in his expression earlier fled to his voicebox...

Samari proceeded to march up to Oris and planted his hands on his hips. While he was getting there Samari repeated every calming mantra he'd ever heard in his head. He couldn't look like he was intimidating the man into agreeing with him. It had to be his own honest opinion... even if it was agreeing with the skinny brat. Samari almost shuddered at the thought.

"So, what did you think? Tell the truth." Samari asked in his normal tone of voice, smiling a little afterwards.

Oris paled. It had now officially gotten bad. Whatever he said would almost certaintly set one of the men against him. The white haired one was closer, but the black haired one could pull off a good leap if he needed it. Why'd they have to pull him into their fighting...

Samari noticed the man glancing warily at himself and the brat. At least now the brat couldn't pull something about him being intimidating, they both seemed to scare the man in purple.

Sitting here silently probably wasn't going to help. Oris shifted and wove his fingers together. "It-"

It was what?? Oh God, he didn't know what he thought about the man ... howdidthatothermanputit ... 'giving him head'. No wait! He did have something! And it was an honest answer!

"It was different."

Oris blanched. Apparently his answer supported the black haired man...

In the few moments that passed after the man's judgement Samari kept his body from ticcing uncontrollably by reassuring himself that he could have said worse. In fact...

Samari's eyes narrowed after the brat put in his two cents worth. For a brief moment he pondered taking their argument a step further and out right attacking him. But, there was still something he wanted to make sure of before he lost his head and began clawing at the other man like a maniac.

Oris noticed the white haired man's narrowed eyes. He told the truth, shouldn't that be good enough?? The man leaned forward and - draped his arms loosely around Oris' shoulders, propping his chin on his right arm.

It was better than getting an angry reaction though...

"You've never been with a man before have you?" a voice, the white haired man's voice, purred in his ear.

Oris... was a little confused. He shook his head side to side.

"Ever had anyone go down on you before?"

This confused Oris more. But, if he didn't know what it was there might be a chance that it never happened - right? He shook his head again.

Samari smirked.

He flexed his fingers, digging into Oris' shoulders somewhat. His eyes crossed, his upper lip curled, his teeth clenched. In short... he was pissed.

Samari stood and -

Well, he would have done something if Oris hadn't grabbed his forearms. Samari snarled and pulled his arms back, all but dragging Oris to his feet. Oris stood up the rest of the way on his own, he'd at least have better balance standing.

"Let me go!" Samari hissed, curling his fingers so his hands looked clawed.

That black haired man certainly was antagonistic... Oris was relieved that the red haired man was able to subdue him, no need to start another argument.

Samari snarled and yanked his arms out of the man's hands; falling hard on his arse shortly afterwards. He groaned and scowled, drawing his knees closer to his chest.

"Good," Oris brushed his bangs away from his eyes, which were now a dark, dull brassy color. Problem two was now dealt with, now they could move on to another: Finding out who everyone was. "Why fight when we hardly know one another? I am Oris Xodarap," Oris smiled gently, folded an arm across his chest and did a little bow.

Samari narrowed his eyes and looked away from the group for a moment. That Oris sure picked a dandy time to have them all introduce themselves... Well, at least now they'd be able to yell at each other using their own names. "Samari X'tis's," he said, looking back at the group. "Former thrall to House X'tis's of the City of Phantom Twilight." He smirked a little. The little addition wasn't particularly necessary but, he couldn't resist taking the chance to mar the name of his final House.

Samari's eyes widened. Was that bra- Titanol trying to make another jibe at him? No, he'd have to be able to read what he was saying in order to know that his last name bore not one but two apostrophes.

Maybe he was just trying to make some sort of odd point... He had to be, there didn't seem to be a lack of consonants in any of the other's names. Samari scowled anyway, he just felt like doing so.

Oris sighed mentally, glad that they got through a simple introduction without starting a fight. Maybe if he continued this nice, tame, polite conversation Samari and Titanol would forget they ever had anything to fight about...

"So; Shadow, Balefire, Titanol, what brings you to Serendipity?"

Titanol: I was living in my hometown for all my life until about two weeks agon when I left to find Balefire. I met Shadow then and after returning home, found Balefire. After I left town once, I guess I didn't wanna go back, so we're travelling. I had to leave my daughter there, though, because she can't leave the school until she's sixteen.

Good, good. That last comment didn't have the white and black haired men at each others' throats again.

Though, Oris was getting the impression that he was conducting an intereview. Each one of his questions was thoroughly answered, with no return questions or anything. At that moment he wasn't sure whether or not that was a good thing. What he did know was that he had to beat the white haired one, Samari, to asking the next question.

Oris sat on the foot of the bed, crossed a leg and placed his hands on his raised knee and suddenly feeling very much like a teacher. He shrugged off the feeling.

Samari pretended he wasn't interested in what Shadow and Titanol had to say. So, he preened, sweeping the hair out of his face and gathering it in a loose ponytail. Once all his hair was secured in one hand he reached into a pocket of his robe, and his eyes widened. He reached over to the other pocket, his eyes widening a bit more. Samari held the hand in front of him and narrowed his eyes.

"Where's my clip?" his eyes locked onto Oris.

When the first tones of Samari's question hit Oris' ears he started, thinking that he failed and Samari had indeed made a jibe at one of the others in the room. Then the sentence registered. It wasn't as bad as he thought it was... he relaxed a little, letting his leg breathe again. "I set it down next to you."

Anonymous

Samari: Where's my....

Shadow(thinking): Oh, gods. He's gonna hurt somebody.

Samari: ... clip

Shadow(thinking): Whew.
(out loud): So, what brings you two here?

Anonymous

Titanol *mockingly*: Aww, that's a shame. Pretty boy lost his hair clip.

Balefire put his head in his hands.

Balefire *where only Titanol can hear him*: Can't you be nice?

Anonymous

Samari's eyes began to trail over to where Titanol was standing-

Oris sat up straighter, internally kicking himself for thinking that Samari could say anything without Titanol jumping in for the kill (so to speak)-

He let go of his hair and shook it a bit, letting it fall loosely around his shoulders-

They're going to go at it again... Oris' arms tensed and he leaned forward a bit.

Samari's began to drop to the ground-

Must stop them, somehow. Samari was closest, and of the two of them he sort of knew Samari better-

His hands made contact with the floor-

Oris leaped.
He grabbed Samari's shoulders, pinned the drow against the floor and straddled his chest, holding him down by his upper arm.

Samari was three point eight seconds away from responding to sane member of the little trio and scowling at Titanol when he felt the world shift.
Now he was staring at the ceiling. He thought something was holding him down, at least he hoped someone was holding him down.
Scratch that thought, being pinned down was never a good thing.

Oris finally remembered to breathe. He exhaled softly and looked back at Shadow, Titanol and Balefire; quite relieved that for the moment that the earlier feud wasn't going to make an encore. Samari looked quite flustered, a tad violated and very very confused. His eyes were wide, the iris almost nonexistant and his mouth partially open like he was going to say something but forgot it halfway between thinking it up and actually forming the words.

Oris looked tensed.

Shadow(thinking): What now.

Oris jumped for Samari.

Shadow: Wha? Samari were you gonna attack Titanol again? Enough with the attacking please.

Titanol looked from Shadow to Oris in a rather shifty-eyed manner.

Titanol: Damn pacifist Nazis!!!

Oris was confused. Titanol wanted Samari to attack him? Why? Oris pondered a few possible 'why's. Because he was stealing Titanol's boyfriend? Which one was Titanol's boyfriend?? Was it the other black skinned man, Balefire? Was it Shadow?

That train of thought gave Oris a headache, so he stopped thinking and just stared incredulously at Titanol.

Then Samari came back to reality. He was on the floor, that bastard Oris had suddenly gone insane and jumped on top of him. For a while Samari entertained the thought of peeling him off and throwing him out the window. But... the barest hint of a smirk flashed across Samari's lips.

Samari chortled.

Oris looked down at Samari, worried that he knocked over some vital part of his pysche and now had to deal with a madman on top of everything else.

Samari just narrowed his eyes slightly and smirked, "Tsk-tsk, now isn't the time for that."

Shadow: You look confused, Oris. What's on your mind?

Samari laughed.

Shadow(thinking): Gods, what now?

Titanol (in response to Samari): Wow, glad to hear I'm not the only person who thought that.

Oris' headache upgraded to migraine, he winced. Partially because his eyebrow was starting to feel like a little goblin was attacking it with a pickaxe and partially because of the awkward situation. Complicating matters even further was the Flame's nonstop buzzing in his chest. The sword wanted out, badly wanted out. It wasn't going to get it though, the sword could buzz until his chest started vibrating, it wasn't getting out. Oris wasn't going to expose it to such madness.

But, at least this situation kept Titanol and Samari from fighting. They were making some sort of progress now. Agreeing with one another was a good thing. Maybe now they'd forget that they'd ever fought each other... Or at least they'd lay off each other for a few minutes while his migraine bled away.

Oris stood up, rubbed his eyebrow and retreated back to the bed, his face now a remarkable shade of pink.

Samari scowled a little when Oris retreated, couldn't that bastard at least give him a hand up? He pushed himself back up into a sitting position and flexed his shoulders a little. "Ask before you jump next time," he quipped, smirking a little.

Oris' eyebrows raised, he didn't say anything though. His brain was hurting too much for rational thought.

Shadow: Hey, Oris, are you okay? You look like you have problems.
(under his breath): Not like we don't.

Titanol arched an eyebrow and pondered for a moment. Time to do something spontaneous!

In one, maybe two fluid motion(s), Titanol jumped into Samari's lap, crossed his legs girlishly and started twirling his hair mockingly.

Titanol: *giggle* Hi!

Oris wasn't sure whether to nod or shake his head to Shadow's comment. He wasn't ok, and he did have problems, he also didn't feel like saying the words out loud. They would echo in his head and make his migraine worse. In the end he just nodded his head and reached a hand up to massage his eyebrow again.

Then Samari's lap gained a passenger. His eyes widened and he pressed his lips together, quite shocked by the shift in Titanol's behavior. What kind of drugs was this kid taking??

Then again... he did act something like this earlier. It had to be some kind of trick, or something, the first time was. Titanol was probably trying to see if he'd fall for the same dumb thing again.

"What in the hells are you doing?" Samari asked flatly, narrowing his eyes and scowling.

Shadow: No one will ever know, Samari. No one will ever know.

Titanol amused himself by drawing circles on Samari's chest with his free hand.

Titanol: You're pretty.

Balefire had just resolved to stay where he was with his head in his hands.

Samari was now as confused as Oris had been a minute ago. Though, since he had a better idea of what was going on he didn't shift into total system meltdown. He raised his eyebrows and looked at Balefire, who was hiding his head in his hands, Shadow, who was muttering something about no one knowing (knowing he wasn't the only one baffled by this strange turn of emotion comforted him a little), and Oris.

Oris watched Samari look at everyone that wasn't in his lap. When it was his turn he had the sudden impulse to go pat Samari on the head, he looked adorable, like a little confused kitten. And his hair was rather fluffy and soft...

His higher brain shrugged away some of it's migraine bonds and warned him against suddenly petting anyone. Samari needed something and that something wasn't petting. Maybe he was confused over the sincerity of Titanol's... err... compliment since they were at each other's throats a minute ago.

"You are pretty," Err... he'd probably have to add something onto that before someone got the wrong idea again. "You wouldn't make any money if you weren't."

Samari's 'little confused kitten' look intensified by about a dozen fold.

Shadow: Wait, what? He's a prostitute?

Titanol fell off Samari's lap to roll on the floor laughing his ass off.

Titanol: He called you a whore! Ha!
