Hm. I ought, perhaps, to note Zell's ability to draw magical runes, a simple enough service to sell in-character. I would certainly be willing to, ah, pimp your gear, in exchange, perhaps, for not being cannibilized.
If I were to set up an in-character shop, how and where would I go about doing that? Or is that not done?
