The hulking form of a beast man crouched in the shadows of some bushes at the top of a small cliff overlooking a winding road down below. The road loosely followed the river ora and was frequented by traders and guards. It was a risky hunting spot but that was part of the fun.

Leland ran a large claw tip hand through his russet colored mane. Across his lap was his trusty sword from which he drew his nickname firesword. It was hurry up and wait, and he was growing bored as morning gave way to afternoon.

Every time the wind gusted it kicked up clouds of powered snow which glistened in the morning light.  It would have been beautiful if it wasn't so dang cold or so Nykole thought.

She stood watch with her ever present companion Lucius while the rest of the party broke camp oand loaded the sleds. She scanned the horizon looking for anything out of the ordinary. What the might be, she didn't know.  Her employer was sparse on the details. Get the four sleds to a certain hot spring and get paid big money. They never said what she was protecting them from but there was six guards on the job so there had to be a threat out there.

She took a sip from the steaming mug of tea in her hand as see turned to watch the last of the supplies being loaded. She was bundled up in layers of furs which her thin elven body. Pulling her hood tight, she muttered to herself, elves are not meant for the cold

Axle packed tobacco in to a pipe before lightning it with a snap of his fingers. Taking a slow drag he looked out from the cloth awning where he took shelter from the sun. It was setting and the sky was turning a brilliant red. Soon he would be able to walk the streets freely.

Sunlight wasn't instantly fatal to Alexander Crowden it was worst. It was slow and painful. Five minutes and his pale skin would be burnt a painful red, ten and he would start to blister and peel.

His long silver hair stood in contrast to his black clothing. He wore baggy black pants and a hooder sleeveless black shirt.

The Chahuoy are a manufactured species that is vaguely humanoid in appearance. They have soft jelly bodies with very soft features. Averaging between five and six feet in height the Chahuoy have slim bodies and slender limbs. Most Chahuoy are red, blue, or green in color thou other colors are possible. Their eyes if you can call them that are two glowing orbs that can be any color. They come in masculine and feminine body shapes.

Physical Description
Do to his vampirism Axle is pale which is in stark contrast to the deep tan most Essyrni have.  His skin lends his a sickly complexion and has a transparent quality to it like rice paper.  He has a slender frame and while he is not very bulky what muscle he does have is toned and well defined.

While his body has not seemed to age in over 100 years his hair has long since turned to silver.  It has a healthy, glossy sheen to it as it cascades over his shoulders and past the middle of his back.

Typical outfits
He normally wears baggy light cloth trousers held in place with a wide belt and a sleeveless hooded jacket that he wears open exposing his bare chest.  At his side is a curved dagger that he uses for everything from eating to fighting.  He also keeps a large earthenware jug with him that it typically filled with whatever alcohol he could get his hands on that day.

Personality
Axle is carefree and rebellious.  He plays up the tough guy persona but actually has a caring heart.  He has an addictive personality and is both a heavy drinker and smoker.

Axle has very weak fire magic.  By snapping his fingers his can spawn a small flame at his fingertips.  He has the ability to see in the dark and can also see the life coursing through a living creature's veins.

History
He was born the second child of Talomain a wealthy merchant in Essyrn.  His mother Radana died when he was only three.  His father was always focused on business and ignored his son.  His only friend growing up was his older sister Cecilia.

He is a dark charcoal grey with lighter grey on his face and under belly.  His eyes are golden in color and have slitted pupils.  His body is more like that of a large panther thou and is not as angular.  The tendril on his neck is tipped with a shard barb used to inject prey with a fast acting paralytic.

Personality
Solemn in nature Lucius does not normally speak unless he has something meaningful to add to the conversation.  His calculated and purposeful way of doing things is in sharp contrast to Nykole's fly by the seat of her pants manner.  As such they balance each other.

Magic/Abilities can speak telepathically to anyone that is within a reasonable distance.  He can control who can hear him when he speaks.  He can speak to just one person or to everyone that is within "hearing" range.

History
When he was younger Lucius was traveling through the wilds and came upon a slain sheep. He stopped to investigate when the shepherd showed up.  The shepherd saw Lucius standing over his dead sheep and assumed he had killed it.  The shepherd drew his bow in anger and loosened and arrow at Lucius.  He was hit just behind the shoulder and the arrow buried itself in to a rib.  He slipped off into the woods and collapsed.

Unable to move because of his injury he laid in the wood for three days waiting for death to take him.  By the time Nykole found him infection and a high fever had set in and he kept slipping in and out of consciousness.  She saved his live and while he was recovering they became friends.  Once he was well he decided to accompany Nykole in her travels.

Shimmering Pearl brushed a strand of long white hair out of her face as she hunched over a mortar and pestle. She was working on what she hoped was the last potion of the day.  It was a bitter thing, but good for you rarely tasted good.

Her patient was a elderly man by the name of Kiko. He was the chief of a small village in the draconi forest who had taken ill over a moon ago.  When Pearl had gotten to Kiko he was at deaths door, pale white and in fevered sleep. Now he was stable and growing stronger by the day. The only problem was he still hadn't woken up.

Pearl mixed a little more water into her potion and poured the concoction into a wooden bowl. With a sigh she straightened up and potion in hand made her way to Kiko's pallet in the long house. Parting the old mans lips she spooned a small amount of potion into his mouth. At first nothing happened, then slowly his mouth twitched. He took a deep breath, the first in over a week, then started coughing.

As his eyes opened Kiko looked around the room as if lost. After a long while he focused on pearl as if just then noticing her.  "Who who are you" he croaked.

"I am Shimmering Pearl and I just saved your life" she responded with asoft smile.

Physical Description she is tall and slender with warm almond colored skin. As an elf she is beautiful and regal with high cheek bones, a small nose and large emerald green eyes.  Her hair is long, reaching all the way down past her waist and is a brilliant blond with a red tint that flashes like polished copper when the sun hits it. She keeps her long hair in twin braids unless she has to get dressed up.

Her normal traveling cloths consist of a knee high leather boots overlayed with thick leather greaves, tan breech and a decorative layered loincloth that is held in place with a thick belt.  Her belt holds a number of pouches, one large rectangle pouch on the left, two small ones on the right and a horizontal mounted cylindrical pouch across the small of her back. Under the pouch on her back she has her two large fighting daggers sheathed.  She wears a brown vest that has lighter tan reinforcements down the front around the eyelets where it is laced up.  Over her shoulders she wears a green hooded cloak.  On her forearms she has a set of vambraces that match her greaves in style and construction.

Personality the first thing you will notice about Nykole is that she seems to lack in internal monolog, that's because for the most post she does lack one. When she was a young lass she was kicked in the head by a horse and ever since has had problem with saying everything she is thinking out loud.  She has some control over it but it takes a lot of focus so if she gets worked up or caught up in a conversation thoughts tend to slip out.

Nykole is a kick ass first, ask questions later kind of girl.  She has a very fiery personality.  Strong willed and passionate, she is quick to anger but just as quick to love.  She is always full of fire and does everything with a gusto.

Magic/Abilities All of Nykole's magic is based around lighting

Weapons She carries a Glaive and two large daggers.  All three of her weapons have special gems set in the blades that lets her channel her magic into them.

While traveling out in the wilds she came across a sick  ferguine cat.  He was running a very high fever and lost in fever dreams when she found him.  She moved his to a cave and nurse him back o health.  It was no till after he was recovered that she learned that she could hear his thoughts and that his name was Lucius.  They became fast friends and Lucius decided to travel with her.

Soules slowly rode down the road toward Reajh on his dun colored war horse. His green calvary uniform was caked in the tan road dust. At his side was his saber and on his back was a short horse bow.

"Come on Max pick up the pace" he said aloud as he gently podded his horse "I would like to get to town before night fall". His thoughts turned to a hot meal and soft bed.  Soules had been on patrol in the south for months now and this was his first leave long enough come home. The older he got the less he enjoyed cold camps and hard tack.

Soules grew tired after years of war. He had seen families torn apart over whispers of magic, seen villages destroyed over a single mage. He had seen mages caged like animals while being told they were the bad guys. He no longer believed in the cause be could see no way out.

Personality: Soules tends to be very refined and proper. He is respectful and polite with a dry sense of humor. Years of fighting have left with a cold demeanor. While he may come off as cold, Soules is very caring.  A trait that has gotten him into trouble more then once when he became involved in matters that did not concern him.

History: Soules was born in Ajhfeld.  His father died when he was 12.  after his father passed he and his mother moved in with his fathers brother Urakel.  Urakel was a former Mordecai, having retired do to injures received in the service of the Grand Duke.  Once he took in Soules he started to train him in the arts of sword fighting.  At first it was to help the young boy distract himself after he lost his father but Soules proved to have natural gift and so his uncle started to train him in the various arts of war from archery to strategy.

Soules formally entered he military at he age of 16.  Do to his years of early training he quickly climbed through the ranks.  He lacked he ability of Mordecaism so could no follow in his mentors foots steps.

When there was a grown problem with bandits attacking wagons on the open plains Soules was task stopping them.  He was given a small corp of men which he organized into squads of five.  Them were trained and equipped as light cavalry armed to a sword and more importantly a bow.  With this configuration his men could quickly chase down an bandits and attack them from range.  His corp was so effective that they were given a permanent assignment doing long patrols of the wilderness between towns.

While in Uthlyn Soules discovered a young mage named Xanti. Getting caught up in the moment he helped her escape the city. Afterwards he started to question the war and the view that all mages were bad. This view drove a wedge between him and Lunabelle who was a confessor.
