Physical: Soules is tall and toned from years of fighting. He has broad shoulder with sculpted muscles from using a sword most of his life. He is covered in scars; the most prominent of them are the ones that run across his brow and down his left cheek across his eye socket.
Clothes: Soules is always in uniform. He wears forest green military officer's jacket over a white shirts and brown pants. He wears calf high tan cavalry boots. He wears a black eye patch to cover his left eye that was lost in a battle when he was 22.
Weapons: he carries a long cavalry saber with a gold hilt and black leather wrapped handle. He also carries a short re-curve cavalry bow and quiver full of black arrows with red dyed goose feather fletchings.
Personality: Soules tends to be very refined and proper. He is respectful and polite with a dry sense of humor. Years of fighting have left with a cold demeanor. While he may come off as cold, Soules is very caring. A trait that has gotten him into trouble more then once when he became involved in matters that did not concern him.

History: Soules was born in Ajhfeld. His father died when he was 12. after his father passed he and his mother moved in with his fathers brother Urakel. Urakel was a former Mordecai, having retired do to injures received in the service of the Grand Duke. Once he took in Soules he started to train him in the arts of sword fighting. At first it was to help the young boy distract himself after he lost his father but Soules proved to have natural gift and so his uncle started to train him in the various arts of war from archery to strategy.
Soules formally entered he military at he age of 16. Do to his years of early training he quickly climbed through the ranks. He lacked he ability of Mordecaism so could no follow in his mentors foots steps.
When there was a grown problem with bandits attacking wagons on the open plains Soules was task stopping them. He was given a small corp of men which he organized into squads of five. Them were trained and equipped as light cavalry armed to a sword and more importantly a bow. With this configuration his men could quickly chase down an bandits and attack them from range. His corp was so effective that they were given a permanent assignment doing long patrols of the wilderness between towns.
While in Uthlyn Soules discovered a young mage named Xanti. Getting caught up in the moment he helped her escape the city. Afterwards he started to question the war and the view that all mages were bad. This view drove a wedge between him and Lunabelle who was a confessor.
