Physical Description
Willowy and unpretentious, she's a young woman you could easily over look, although that's what she's going for. As a survivor from the battle of Thaedes, and an orphan (from earlier on in her country's civil war), Vels now finds herself scraping together whatever she can to survive, which makes her attire a bit strange as she's fashioned together clothing she found on the dead- but due to the circumstances of the battle, a lot of the fallen goods had since been burned.
Her eyes are a grey green that, at times, seem as shining as the sea. She's pale with thin limbs, and freckled. Her hair is auburn, and normally kept back out of her face in a braid.
Personality
Having spent most of her life on the street, Vels is a little reluctant to trust anyone, though she spends a lot of time people watching and listening in on other's conversations. Though not educated or able to right, she's got street smarts and knows enough how to survive. She'll eat anything from rats to roaches, as she fears death enough to keep her own survival a top priority. Although not blessed with any sort of luck or a means to get herself off of the streets and incorporate herself into society, Vels has created her own vision of what the world really is like outside of Thaedes. Though she knows more opportunity awaits her outside the gates, it seems she has some form of reluctance to actually leave the place.

Relationships
She has a bit of a grandiose vision of her dead parents, but can recall little since she was about six years old when they died. She doesn't even remember their names. In fact, the last name she uses even she is unsure if that was her actual last name.
History
She's been on her own since a young age. Her father had been a trapper, that much she knew, as she had watched him work when she was little. However, not much skills had been gained by him or even her mother when their village was attacked. Vels soon found herself alone, and scrambled for years to survive. A lot of what she learned she learned on her own, and so not everything she thinks or does is exactly conventional to the ways of the rest of Connlaoth.
With the war having raged on for most of her life, she found herself on the outskirts of Thaedes the day after it was attacked. Ever the opportunist, she currently has made this fallen city her home and is attempting to pick pocket enough money to 'get her self somewhere'- wherever or however that may be. Most of her findings (be it money or other trinkets from her scavenging) she keeps in her own place she had claimed out of a vacated building, who's first two floors had been destroyed by the war. Being nimble, she's able to climb her way to her third floor 'home' and seems to rather like her new home here.
