CH. I – Painting a Portrait
Iona has beautiful sharp features, almost as crystalline as if she were carved from ice.  She's statuesque, with a strong body and hardened from travel and field work.  But she is shapely, with adequate curves and a medium bust.  Her eyes are vibrant, a gray-green, like a misty verdant field, and dark brown hair that draws down to about an inch above her shoulders, fairly short, but still long enough to tie back into a ponytail.

+ NOTABLE MARKS +
She has no prominent marks readily visible on her body save for a small vertical cut that runs from just beneath her bottom lip to her chin.  It's very light and visible only to those that come face-to-face with her.

CH II – Mental Make-up
She is intelligent and has a well-founded sense of humor.  But it is not a side of her she gets to express very often in her work as a Confessor.  She is extremely loyal to the Church and to the Order, which saved her from a life of destitution on the streets.  Though she has none, the idea of family and honor are very important to her, as is loyalty and the importance of keeping your word.  She is not naïve, and knows an empty promise when she sees one, and will not easily forgive those that break their oaths, traitors least of all.

She is honest and courageous to stand for those weaker than herself.  Though she seems it, she is not always content in her loneliness and will reach out to those she trusts and feels she can call a friend.

+ FAITH +
She was raised in the heart of the Church of Ansgar and inducted into the Order of St. Agratha at a young age.  She was taken into the Church as an orphan, of unknown origin, and most of her life has revolved around it.  While she does not inherently hate magic or mages, she believes the Church must care and guide them as equally as any non-mage.  But those that use their powers to cower others and threaten them into submission, those are the ones that must be stood against.  That is her message, as a sister within the Church, and one she adheres to, even if others disagree.  She is confident in her work as a Confessor, having worked as hard as she did to achieve her rank of Templar, and feels those she has slain had it coming in some shape or form.

+ HABITS +
She doesn't drink habitually, or partake in any serious vices.  She loves to read, and will read just about anything she can get her hands on.  Though it is not a commonly shared thought, she believes knowledge should be shared, not forbidden, though she would never voice such a claim.  At least not to people she did not know well.

CH III – Social

+ RELATIONSHIPS +
Mercuxio Rastognlir, alive, Fellow Confessor and Friend

Lucian Andris, alive, Fellow Confessor, and friend by association of Mercuxio

CH IV – Abilities / Skills
+ CONFESSOR +
Like all Confessors, she has the ability to drain the magical gift right out of a mage or magic-user.  It is quite pronounced and not a blessing she likes to use very often.  But she is fearless in the matter when needed, as resolute as any Confessor should be.  Her Templar ranking has made her abilities rather powerful, and she is also capable of all gifts available to all Confessors.

CH V – Gear / Equipment
+ CROSSBOW +
She has an eagle's eye for distance and accuracy, and can shoot a black bird in the dark of night without any needed assistance.  But she's just as handy with an ordinary bow, and an axe she keeps attached to her side.

CH VI – Reflections of the Past
An orphan left to the care of the Church of Ansgar, Iona grew did not have an easy childhood.  The sisters of the nunnery that raised her were strict on how a young woman should grow up.  Iona, however, retained her own mind and independence.  She became a Sister within the Church, and eventually joined the Order of St. Agratha, admiring their patronage to the poor of Connlaoth.

She became a Confessor, however, when bandits attacked the village she lived in and burnt the chapel to the ground.  She was the only survivor, having been away at the time.  She returned to find the village in shambles, the men killed, the women being taken captive and forced to do their bidding, to be sold into slavery, raped, and worse.  For days she followed the men, taking their weapons surreptitiously, and finding the courage to kill the bandit leader, and freeing the women.

She's been with the Order since then, and became a close confidant of Mercuxio Rastognlir.  She's dedicated and resourceful, and hopes the Church will help the people that were affected by the Civil War.
