Traveling was never her strong point, though any army moving near her make shift home was enough reason to keep her away. She had always feared crowds, mostly armies, and for good reasons. The only memories she could recollect of them was the damage they induced, and how it scarred everything around it.
One thing nice about traveling outside the ruins for a bit was she had a change of scenery, but the floral and fauna were rather itchy, and the day, hot and sticky, despite how cold it had been for a long time. Everyone knew the winter was longer than they had wished, and she was just glad that the army was passing through her home ruins and not attacking it. What was there to attack there anyway?
Still feeling itchy, and abit sticky from the sweat of her travels, she paused at a secluded, heavily forested valley. There was a river that ran through it, sparkling and clean and hte air smelled so fresh it was almost nauseating to her- who was used to the scent of dust and decay. She bent over the waters, testing them before indulging in handfuls of gulps. Splashing some even on her face felt so refreshing that, hesitant as she was, she figured she might not hav ea better oppurtunity for a good bath- for she could hardly recall how long ago was her last.
Keeping an eye out, she was quick to remove her clothing, setting them aside in a pile near her things before stepping out into the waters. The waters were deeper than she thought, but not deep enough she couldn't reach the bottom when submerged just a foot or two. Even still the water was freezing and she shivered as she swamp along through it. And the feeling of the cool waters pulling around her body felt amazing. It was a nice moment to be a little forgetful, but when she realized she had swamp too far, she paused a moment and peered over her shoulder. Then a noise caught her attention.
Her head turned suddenly, and down the way she saw a man, and as she watched him, she held her breath.
Shit. How long had he been there? Not exactly wanting to be caught so off guard (she was naked, after all!) she cautiously watched the man to see what he was up to- and to see if he was the only one here. One man was at least less dangerous than a few. But as she continued to study him, the moment she was able to actually see his face, she couldn't help but gasp-
and naturally, her breath echoed across the waters. She slapped a hand over her lips and froze in place, hoping to the Gods he hadn't heard her.
