Physical Description
A snow-haired girl with red eyes, Akayuki is a diminutive little creature whose body is as childish as her mind. In combination with her ghostly pale, delicate features, and soft skin that proves she has never been exposed to hardship or discomfort, her small size makes her look like an oversized doll. When she pouts, it is the most adorable, heart-wrenching thing in the world.

The ruby gaze of her eyes is sharp and attentive, and just like the disarmingly sweet smile of a poisoner upon her lips, serves as a hint there is more to her than she puts on. Her white hair reaches her shoulders and is often styled with pigtails and braids, a sign she likes to look pretty. The child is very peculiar about her outfits and wears only the finest silk robes money can buy.

Personality
Some call her a sweet little girl with morbid interests and an unhealthy obsession with death. Others claim her a murderous sociopath. The latter's a lie though, she only kills about ten people a day. Aside from her occasional homicidal tendencies, the little necromancer is ridiculously sadistic as the suffering of others fills her black heart with glee. A spoiled child who just happens to wield incredible powers, she often suffers from bouts of childish immaturity.

Akayuki holds a grandiose opinion of herself, looks down on others, and fully buys into her own delusion of being one of the greatest minds of all time. Any perceived disrespect is met with deadly force. On the other hand, she is easily appeased by being praised and revered as the undead demigod she claims to be. That and sweets. She loves sweets and is easily distracted by them. With sweets, Akayuki turns incredibly friendly and playful and one would hardly recognize her for the horror she is on her bad day.

Immortality has turned her dreadfully lazy, as she can simply outlive all of her problems without ever lifting a finger. In her opinion, life itself is a miserable condition that always ends with death, and since death can be cured, she is always willing to help when it comes to curing others of both life and death. Another one of her qualities is being a staunch undead rights advocate who believes every living being to be equal; that is equally inferior to her, a perfect undead. She is just nice like that, even as her cold diabolical brain weaves a new incredibly cunning and ingenious plot for COMPLETE WORLD DOMINATION!!!

Magic/Abilities
Akayuki is as powerful as she is lazy and can't be bothered to use her magic for anything productive. She can summon lightning from the sky or cast it from the tips of her fingers, either to show off or for 'self-defense' and torture. With just a thought, she can hover above ground, which she happily abuses to spare herself the horror of walking uphill.

Finally, her personal favorite, her hobby, her specialty; necromancy. The ability to bring the dead to unlife can be cast casually with just a gesture by the girl, no preparation required if the soon-to-rise corpses happen to be in her close vicinity. These undead have no mind of their own and only follow simple commands of their master. But they tend to rot and stink and are dumb.

If possible, she prefers to take her time, do the necessary rituals, and bring the dead back just as new, with their minds and bodies mostly intact and bound to do her bidding whether they like it or not. She finds the idea pretty funny and likes to imagine the suffering of fully conscious minds trapped in rotting carcasses.

Well-versed in the topic of immortality, she dabbles in alchemy also, hopeful to perfect an affordable solution to life that kills after digestion and immediately brings the drinker back to life, now a mighty fine zombie immune to decay, no loss of mental faculties, and completely free will.

This sort of thing is bound to save the world from death and erase the fear of losing loved ones once and for all! She has yet to find the right way to achieve this - most of her alchemical experiments end up horribly wrong, but it's all fun and games until a dead grandpa tears his family apart.

If her magic is disabled, she is entirely harmless. In the event of death while unable to use magic, her soul will still be caught by the phylactery as she slips into the afterlife and she will return to life in a designated safe place.

No, she doesn't know where her phylactery is either.

Relationships

History
The Cult of the Red Moon used to be a death-worshipping group of necromancers who believed the secret to eternal life lay within eternal undeath. All living beings were to be included in the undead utopia, and the only way to achieve blissful, immortal existence was through mass destruction, human sacrifice, demon worship, death worship, soul-rending, devotion to evil, and twisted rituals.

This commonly led to misunderstandings and conflicts with their neighbors and local communities. Considered heretics in every land they ever set foot on, the cult had to relocate every hundred or so years. That one Ansgar guy in particular took an issue with them and chased them off the continent entirely. Nobody understood their vision of bringing forth the apocalypse!

A prophecy spoke of a red-haired child to be born under the blood moon once the stars were right. Said child was to be the avatar of death, half-demon, and blessed with extraordinary powers, destined to end the world by ripping the fabric of reality to allow the dead to flood the world of the living. For ages, the cult was on the lookout for the right star alignment and other abstract signs.

When the malevolent day (night?) finally descended upon the world, the sun turned to darkness, and the moon to blood. Countless Red Moon cultists were sacrificed on that fateful night (day?), their souls and power offered to the coming dark messiah. A child imbued with the power of darkness was born, her eyes scarlet as the moon under which she was cast into the world.

A most promising sign.

The girl's snow-white hair caused some concern as the prophecy had foretold the child's hair would be red. This was attributed to mistranslation and retroactively corrected.

Named Akayuki, the so-called dark messiah was pampered and educated in the darkest arts, every moment of her life meticulously planned to prepare her to unleash horrors untold. Various unspeakable rituals and baths in fresh virgin blood had enhanced her magical prowess to terrifying levels. Akayuki's arcane might grew every day, the whole cult dedicated to ensure her success. Adept at forbidden knowledge before she turned six, she had constructed a phylactery and used revolutionary methods to achieve immortality.

In fact, the revolutionary way of cheating death proved so ahead of its time nobody else understood how it worked.

At the tender age of eleven, the girl was poised to unleash her terrible power and curse everyone with eternal undeath, just as foretold.

But then she caught a cold and died a week later.

But her soul remained safe in the phylactery so everything was alright.

But nobody knew how to resurrect her so she remained dead.

But after several centuries a group of would-be necromancers accidentally summoned her back as a perfectly preserved lich so it was okay.

But by then all of her followers had long since died; their precious tomes of dark knowledge burned, their temples torched, and all mentions of their very existence erased.

She was pretty bummed about it.

But with the cult gone and no peer pressure to force her to destroy the world, she found herself free to pursue her hobbies and dreams, like playing with dolls and killing people. Her dream was to craft a monstrous undead orchestra bound to entertain the world until she attempted to end it again, as the end of the world would be sad and boring with no epic music playing. She had also fixed her immortality problem, now able to summon herself back to life in case of death. Pretty handy.
