Title: Morning Tide [Lonely Bird] [M]
Post by: Cheesigator on September 20, 2016, 04:56:07 PM
A warm, salty seaside breeze blew gently through the streets of Cerenis, making the sails of ships billow as the boats rocked to the gentle ebb and flow of the seawater. It was bright and sunny in this town, and the chatter of its citizens was so different in comparison to the howling winds and creaking pine boughs on Kkilanthro Mountains.

But sometimes it was nice to take a break from home and go explore for a while. Or a year. Or a few.

Eyes that flashed like silverfish gazed upon the town with a worrying lack of disinterest as Spike stood at the road leading into downtown, tying his jacket around his waist and rolling up his sleeves. It was so hot here in comparison to his homeland, he couldn't imagine being in the desert right now, though he had been there before. He probably hated it so much that he'd blocked it from his mind, because he couldn't remember a thing about it. Except the sand. He'd stared at the sand under his feet a lot, apparently.

He looked down at the sand underneath him right now, eyebrows raising just slightly before he blew out a sigh and continued on into the town.

Spike really wasn't sure what had convinced him that the coast of Serendipity was a place that he needed to visit this week, but that was normal. Traditionally, whenever he got the slightest inkling that he should go somewhere, needed to be somewhere, or wanted to go somewhere, he went there. It wasn't like he had a whole lot of other pressing matters to tend to.

The shops looked quaint, the people were civil (and boring) and before long he found himself heading into a tavern to get himself a mug of mead, because he was thirsty, and many days and nights traveling tended to make one's hooves ache. Mead would fix that right up, he thought. Though there was one thing he noticed for sure as he entered the establishment; there were some people of interest here.

Like pirates, it seemed.

Only a few were allowed shore leave at a time and right now it was Lonely Birds. Well, Lonely Bird's and a few others. He was here to get away from them though, which was why he was at the bar with some hard liqour or another. Probably some strange fae concotion that would have him slurring his words or thinking he was a pretty princess.

Lonely Bird didnt look to be exactly what he was.

It helped when he needed to trade flesh.

The cascading white hair, tied back in a loose ponytail. The disarming blue eyes. The tall stature. The brilliant arms. The charming good looks.

Then his neck felt itchy and he frowned, hand moving to it after he drank his fairy drink. It tasted nasty. Lonely Bird wrinkled his nose and heard the door open. Another itch.

His forehead tingled and he pressed his palm over it before glaring over his shoulder. Eyes catching on the short man when he entered the area, frowning at the strange tingling. He'd never had that happen before, it was an awful buzzing.

Another irritated look over his shoulder at the newest occupant and a frown before a second fairy drink was ordered and pushed to the empty seat beside him. Just in case.

It was rare, even in this world full of fantastical creatures beyond your wildest dreams, that you honestly got two unicorns together completely by random in the same room.

For one like Spike, who still had his horns and magical abilities, it was more of a painless stab by the marking in the middle of his forehead that hid his actual horn, which then cascaded down his spinal cord and made every nerve tingle. It made him stop dead in his tracks, and it guided his gaze to a dazzling person sitting at the bar with long white hair, a perfect body and from what Spike could tell, a really damn good-looking face.

So that was why he had a feeling he should come here.

He didn't let himself hesitate, though for the first time in a long time he felt a flare of what he might almost describe as nervousness flicker in the pit of his stomach as he walked over and seated himself next to this interesting person, already finding a drink there like it was nearly waiting for him. But still, better be polite than assume. For now.

"I hope this seat isn't taken." He said, his voice surprisingly deep for a man so small.

At least up close he could get a good look at this person; just sitting next to him made it feel like the air between the two of them was almost buzzing, humming with some kind of energy, although they both had very different kinds of energy. Where this stranger had a long, slender nose, big blue eyes, a soft lipline and locks of hair like whispy clouds, Spike was almost the exact opposite. Spike's eyes were more of an almond shape, silvery-blue eyes often distorted by long black eyelashes. His face was broken up with a bit of a large nose, and defined lips and scars that marred his cheekbone and thick eyebrows.

His skin was pale as snow, Spike's tanned and earthy. He was beauty and grace, and Spike was a guilty pleasure. Oh yeah, surely they'd go great together.

Yet he couldn't help but notice that something was slightly... off about this one. It had been a long time since he'd crossed paths with another unicorn, or seen his own mother, but the others he had met hadn't been anything like this. They hadn't been this... Well it surprised him to think it, but dull. Like a diamond that had been scratched--nearly impossible, and quite a challenge to fix. Something was wrong with this one. For some reason, his eyes were drawn to the marking in the center of the stranger's forehead.

A unicorn's marking was often unique, if it was even there at all. Spike often thought of his as rather dull and boring, and yet when he looked at the marking of the stranger he could only sense that his was even more dull than Spike's own.

But he held his tongue for now; rather than be a smarmy asshole and voice the first thoughts that popped into his head, he tried for a more tactful approach.

"You seem like something is wrong. Had a long day?"

Lonely Bird blinked at the stranger. Disliking the buzzing - It had only gotten worse as the other man got closer. Maybe it was him? A polite half-smile was given to the stranger when he sat himself down, and a pale elegant hand pushed the drink closer. "Tastes like sparkles," He supplied helpfully - or not so helpfully, given that sparkles probably didn't actually have a flavour. Lonely Bird stole another glance, frowning at the markings for a moment.

The buzzing continued, making his fingertips itchy and he rolled his shoulders in an effort to make it go away.  He ground his finger tips against his palms on the bar in an effort to make them go away, staring down at the stained wood before the oddly deep voice caught his attention again and he turned to look. Another frown.

Who was this punk? He'd given him a drink and all the little shit did was make his skin buzz. Lonely Bird gave him a sweeping look before wrinkling his nose and turning away.

"Long few months," Lonely Bird's voice was lyrical, an odd accent that would be hard to place in any of the major countries - Honestly, anything of his life from when he had a horn was a big haze. Little things came to him ocasionally but they were nice and pleasant and Lonely Bird wasn't pleasant. He could be nice. Sort of.  Polite. Polite was a good replacement for nice.

One final glance at the stranger and Lonely Bird rested his elbow on the bar and turned, looking sort of irritated and itchy. "Who are you?" he finally asked, an eyebrow raised and he made a careful move to brush his bangs over his forehead.

Spike couldn't help but raise his thick, frosted eyebrows as a drink was pushed towards him, and in the same movement described as "sparkly." It almost sounded like it was a poorly masked attempt at drugs, but the man who sat next to him didn't really seem like the type--on second thought, Spike took another long look at him and decided that yes, yes he was that type.

This stranger was nearly the spitting image of a man who would rely on his good looks to get by your guard, knock you out, take your organs and try to sell them back to you after leaving you for dead in the desert, or at least that's what he looked like in Spike's mind's eye. A man so low he could walk under a rattlesnake.

He liked him.

He accepted the offering of the drink, figuring that if it was dangerous, he could get himself out of most situations, he had so far, hadn't he? He took a sip, and nodded in agreement.

"Glitters more than a man in a princess's wedding dress." He said after the stranger had answered his question. "I guess one way to respond to long month's is certainly with drink. Hopefully the next few go better for you."

He took another drink, well aware of the other's spared glance before the stranger finally deemed him worthy (or perhaps interesting enough was a better term for it) for proper conversation. His identity was questioned, and Spike set down his drink, his tongue tingling a bit from the taste.

He took in a deep breath and let it out in a soft exhale, taking his time before sliding his gaze back over to the other man, very obviously looking him up and down, and shrugging.

"Just another unicorn, like yourself."

He finished off his drink, setting the cup down on the bar and pushing it away. "Though there's definitely something different about you, and I can't quite place my finger on what exactly it is."

Now it was Spike's turn to turn himself towards the other, almost perfectly copying the way the other unicorn sat, with his elbow on the bar and his cheek resting in the palm of his hand.

"We have a lot of magic about us, that's why you get that tingling sensation, assuming you feel it too."

**OOC: Sorry I didn't get the chance to respond sooner, I was out of town for a few days and didn't have access to a computer! D:

There was a time when Lonely Bird would have recognized another like himself and he would have been happy. Excited even. He doesn't remember it, but there was a second of pure joy when he heard the words 'another unicorn' and then he'd never felt his insides go so cold so fast in his life. In the decade since he'd lost his horn the utter disappointment was overwhelming for a few seconds and he pressed his fingers to his forehead to touch the strange marking there.

They were his but they weren't his. They were different and the buzzing grew stronger and he stared at the strange kid who drank the Wedding Dress Princess Drink and stared and stared and Lonely Bird couldn't stop staring.

Was his face more pale than usual? Did he still have that attractive flush to his cheeks?

"It's a buzzing," Lonely Bird finally said, his voice a deep rumble in his chest before her cleared his throat. Only another Unicorn would understand, "It's making my skin itchy because it has no where to go," He finally said, looking away and swallowing before ordering something different now. Just a shot of hard liqour. He didn't care what.

He wanted his throat to burn and tingle just like his skin did.

"My horn is gone. It was stolen." He said simply, voice thick before eyeing the kid, "I didn't even realize," he looked at the kid again, tilting his head and looking at him like he was even more interesting. A unicorn. It'd been... Lonely Bird had no idea. Forever.

"I mean... I knew I was broken but... I didn't even notice," He laughed and shook his head, giving a little toast to the kid before knocking back the second one that had appeared before him, "What's your name Kid? Can't exactly call you Horn-y Unicorn."

The other man's response at first just made Spike slightly confused. Nowhere to go? He narrowed his eyes, only slightly, as he listened to the other's brief explanation for why he was so different from Spike:

He no longer had his horn.

The words made Spike's skin run cold, a chill running down his spine. Now it was his turn to stare at the other, somewhat baffled. The idea of having your horn stolen... It was entirely news to him. How could that happen? How could you let that happen?

Of course, he'd heard humans talk about it before--the rumors that came and went throughout the years about which body parts from which magical beings granted eternal life, beauty, fame or glory, or sometimes all of the above. Dragon teeth, unicorn horns, phoenix feathers, the list went on and on and on... But humans were never usually successful in getting any of these things. They died trying or just made fakes to sell for unbelievable prices that were far easier to obtain and required much less life-risking. The market for magical body parts was never usually much of a threat.

So what had happened to this one?

He was pulled out of his confusion when the other toasted him and knocked back another drink, asking what his name was... And referring to him as a kid. Spike held back the urge to sneer at him, and instead told himself to take it as a compliment that he just looked that young, fresh and handsome. Or something like that. Whatever.

"I tell you mine, you tell me yours; I keep things simple, everyone calls me Spike." He said with a shrug and a coy smile.

He paused for a moment, watching the little things about the man; the way his fingers touched his cup of drink, the way his hair moved and fell about his frame in the constraints of his ponytail. He looked back at the other's forehead, and then to his eyes.

"Do you remember who did this to you?" He asked quietly.

His voice had taken on a bit of a somber tone; something like this was a subject not to be taken lightly. In fact, every shred of compassion he had in his body (which was a lot, surprisingly) was telling him that something should be done about this, but whether or not the other unicorn would even want to was something that Spike wasn't exactly sure of. The fact that he was sitting here in a bar, drinking the night away gave Spike the impression that he hadn't really given his past or the stealing of his true identity much afterthought.

Pffft. Spike. That was a silly name.

Lonely Bird smiled to himself for a moment, a far away look in his eyes. Maybe it was a unicorn thing to have a silly name. A brief glance to spike and he gave his lips a purse in thought. It was a suiting name.

"Spike," he gave his head a few nods like he was trying to process it and he'd opened his mouth to reoly. But then the second set of words happened and he clamed up. Did he remember?

"I don't even remember my real name," he scoffed, giving a forced smile before he reached for  Spikes hand and forcefully give it a shake  "Though, now I'm Lonely  Bird, Captain of the Storm Keeper," which was a lie. His ship had no official name but at least thay one sounded cool

Maybe keep that for a while and see if it picked up."Looking for passage? I can grt you on cheap. Cheaper if you dont mind doing... favours for the crew." Anothr drink was flagged to him and he pressed the second one to Spike, "To horns, wherever they may be."

He sure missed his.

Spike accepted Lonely Bird's handshake with lips pursed in thought, brows furrowed as he considered what the other unicorn had said. He didn't even remember his own name anymore? Names were usually pretty important, the first thing imprinted on you at birth. So that meant that he might have just forgotten everything from when he had his horn--it was amazing he knew he was a unicorn at all.

He raised his eyebrows at Lonely Bird's comment and snorted a little as he was pulled back from his thoughts and he took the drink, taking a swig before setting the cup back down after their odd toast.

"I'm not usually too fond of boats." He said with a slight shrug; too long on one and it made him seasick, it was a miserable feeling and he hated it so much. But... "Have you ever tried retracing your steps? Y'know, back to where you were when you woke up without it." There might be clues there, someone who might know something.

Then again, who knew how long it had been that Lonely Bird had just... Left the issue unsolved, said 'Oh well' and given up on it. That was definitely something Spike couldn't wrap his head around--why didn't he try to chase down who had it? Why didn't he try to get it back?

He turned his gaze to the rim of his cup, thinking for a moment before raising his eyebrows and shrugging a little. "I could even help you look if you wanted. It sounds like an interesting adventure." He turned his frosty blue gaze back to Lonely Bird, waiting to see his reaction.

Retracing his steps?

Lonely Bird stared at Spike, eyes lowering for a moment before he ducked his head down and pursed his lips. Green? Forest? No. Rocks. There was a hollow feeling in his chest and he chewed on his lip, raising his hand to his forehead to touch the smooth seal on his forehead. Though quickly he jerked his hand back, hating the sensation of touching there. He could remember the seal being placed on. It hadn't hurt. It had been uncomfortable, like being in a too small space and not being able to breath.

"No one's ever offered that before," He said softly, confused. Distracted. Finger's reaching to hover over the seal again before he pulled away and shook his head. Then he frowned, looking at Spike. A smirk and he leaned on the bar, his head on his hand, looking at the other unicorn through his pale hair. "Why so interested. I've already come to terms that I'm going to die in a few years," He had, which was why he was doing everything he could to live life to the fullest.

Being a slaver.

There was a learning curve.

Lonely Bird cleared his throat and leaned back, frowning at the bar. "I don't really remember," He finally said, "There was a woman. She was... Beautiful... Kind. Giving." A confused frown and he shook his head, a sense of betrayal bloomed in his chest, "She gave me the seal, said it would slow the degradation of a unicorn not having a horn. Ease the way." He motioned to Spike, "I wouldn't survive long without this," He pointed to his forehead.

Then he shook his head, "Eugh, terrible." He frowned and stood up, stepping away from the back, "Nice to meet you Spike, but I have to go... uh... Outside." A brief pat on the back to his new friend and he wandered away, legs unsteady confused. Irritated. Stupid Unicorns. Trying to get into everyone's business.

He could tell that the conversation was making the other man uncomfortable; it made Spike a little uncomfortable as well to be honest, but he also had a feeling it was something that needed to be talked about. Whether Lonely Bird wanted to admit it or not.

He talked about a woman who had given him the seal that was keeping him alive, but thinking on it too much seemed to cause him either pain or at least great discomfort; he got up and started to leave, and something in Spike's gut twisted.

Unicorns were a rare commodity these days; he knew that well enough because he was one.

He could count on one hand how many times in his life he'd randomly happened to run into someone else of his kind, and yet this one was just withering away--and letting himself do it, at that. His gut clenched a little tighter.

He downed the rest of his drink, slamming it down on the counter and hopping off the bar stool, going after the unicorn and finding him outside. He hesitated for a moment, hands resting in his pockets as he looked away, before slowly approaching him.

"I'm interested because I haven't met someone else like me in a very long time." He said, his voice a little rough, with some emotion he couldn't quite name. He looked at Lonely Bird, something flickering in those icy eyes of his.

"You don't have to be a Lonely Bird, you know. Even if it is poetic. Besides, I don't believe that you've come to terms with death because you're still a virgin." He smirked, eyebrows raised in amusement as he looked up at the other man. It was a guess, but from the man's odd mannerisms and his unease around people in general, he thought it was pretty obvious. Maybe he was wrong but his hunches usually weren't. Maybe it'd give them something else to talk about, something to keep the other unicorn around for just a little while longer.

A frown and Lonely Bird froze.

Hesitation and he cast a brief look towards the ground before turning towards the source of his tingles. The uncomfortable ones. It felt like his fingers were prickling and he turned towards Spike, frowning before he continued his pace, though froze quickly and looked forward. A curious glance over his shoulder, he rubbed his fingertips together before he pressed his palm to his forehead.

Lonely Bird couldn't remember the last Unicorn he'd met.

Probably because he couldn't sense them. Not really. Not anymore. He'd barely recognized Spike and he seemed to be quite the powerful individual. Maybe that was why? It was irritating to him, that this... Full functioning creature gave a shit. Lonely Bird was perfectly content to just let himself live out the rest of his life, broken. His crew didn't know. His prisoners didn't know. His contacts didn't know.

This guy knew though.

And he cared.

Lonely Bird swallowed carefully before he barked out a harsh laugh, "Well, I'm fairly certain if I'd known what you were I'd have done my best to avoid you in the first place." He lifted his hand to wiggle his fingers, the tingling sensation a soft buzz at being so close. It was frustrating how much he didn't want the buzz to go away. How much he wanted what it represented back.

Finding his horn though... Where would that even start?

Before Lonely Bird could get side tracked though, his pale eyes flicked to Spike and he was about to open his mouth, snap out that he had come to terms with it because he knew he was going to die and didn't just drown himself. Then he sputtered, "A Vi..." He frowned, giving Spike a long look, "What's that have to do with anything. Disgusting," He wrinkled his nose, "I've seen it on a few occasions and have had no desire to partake in it myself," Lonely Bird drew back his shoulders to make himself look bigger, folded his arms over his chest.

"Sweaty rutting and my lack of it," He sneered, "Has nothing to do with the fact I've accepted I'm going to die in ten years without my horn." It would have been sooner without the seal.

Spike grinned mischievously and laughed at Lonely Bird's comment, stepping closer and brushing against him; he hadn't meant to, it had just been a natural thing. Perhaps they were really just a strange pair of horses deep down inside, who knew.

But whatever it was, when they got closer to each other the tingling was ever more present--if their skin touched, Spike wondered, now what would that feel like?

He'd screwed a lot of people and other sentient beings in his time on this planet, but he'd never done another unicorn before. He had a feeling that if he did it would probably be something to remember for many years to come.

Don't get him wrong--that wasn't the only thing he ever had on his mind, usually, but it was a distraction and it was one that Lonely Bird seemed to let himself get swept away with, so he'd leave the heavier subjects for later, if there was a later.

"I didn't get it at first either, but I think a lot of people would tell you you haven't really lived until you've at least tried it once. I'd be inclined to agree, but I'm also biased--I might enjoy it a little too much. But if you don't want to then that's your deal, I don't think anyone could blame you."

He was smirking as he said it, the glitter in his eyes playful, but he noticed as he stood there by the other man that the energy between the two of them felt... Unique. Different. So close together, it was almost like they were sharing it. It felt strangely refreshing, and again he wondered what would happen if they tried other things with it.

"But, if you decide you need help with any of it--your horn, other things, I'll probably be around in town for a little bit longer." He shrugged. "After all, I don't think it's coincidence that we ran into each other. But I don't think anything happens purely out of coincidence."

He started to step away, the pull of energy between them so raw it almost felt physical, like they were being pulled apart, had they been holding hands or hugging for example. It was a very strange feeling, and it left him feeling a little lonesome afterwards, but it wasn't unfamiliar--at some point in his life, and at some point in Lonely Bird's, they had both done this with other unicorns. Left, and hadn't come back, left to wander by themselves.

It was an oddly depressing sensation that left him a bit empty inside, to be honest.

The brush was electric.

Lonely Bird stared after Spike, felt his heart pick up the pace just a little bit. Adrenaline. Fear. He licked his rosy lips and looked at his hands for a moment, pale and soft. It was irritating that no matter how much work he did, how wounded he got, he didn't scar, didn't get calluses. Lonely Bird didn't really feel anymore, he found. Maybe irritation. Maybe anger. A zing of envy.

He found he was envious of this other unicorn.

Lonely Bird also found himself reaching out ever so slightly to grab Spike's hand, to feel that shock again. Though quickly he snapped his hand back and tucked it under his elbows, glaring and frowning and generally just trying to look unpleasant in all the ways he could muster. If he looked angry, people didn't talk to him. Despite his appearance, he'd worked hard on his general 'aura' of 'leave me the fuck alone'. Spike, obviously, didn't adhere to the unspoken request.

It was panic that drove him.

Coincidence wasn't a thing. If that was the case, Lonely Bird was supposed to lose his horn, become Captain of a ship to... Meet Spike? He wanted to laugh but the buzzing on his skin, crawling along his spine and making his belly tingle told him otherwise. It felt wrong and out of place but so familiar and Lonely Bird chewed on his lip briefly before his hand snapped out and he bent a little grabbed Spike's wrist. He wanted to talk for just a few more seconds before the little shit just walked away.

Feeling the warm flesh of Spike's wrist, for a few moments didn't feel fuzzy. Like he'd been drowning and broke the surface for a breath. Lonely Bird audibly gasped before he snapped his hand back like it burned. Too much, too much too fast and he stared at his hand like it'd slapped him, then at Spike like he'd just sucker punched him.

"I want your help," Nice and subtle. Smooth.  He even waited about ten seconds before he decided. Then he paused, "With my horn, not... Other things." He sneered again, though, he eyed Spike's wrist like it was a tempting glass of water and he was starved for it. "I wouldn't know where to start though, I... I've never tried to remember." And still his hands were tucked under his elbows.

He hadn't noticed any of the other man's glaring; he'd had his back turned, and thus was caught completely by surprise by the sudden warmth around his wrist.

It sent a shiver throughout his whole body, made him stop dead in his tracks, made him gasp--he could barely choke back a moan. He was perhaps a bit... Too sensitive, to some things, it seemed. He stared at his wrist, frosty eyes wide with shock and confusion; he'd never felt that before, or, no, maybe he had--in a way, it felt oddly familiar.

He looked back at Lonely Bird and blinked; he was just as shaken. Whatever it was they just experienced, Spike would've been lying if he said he didn't want more. And judging by the flickering gaze of Lonely Bird, there was a suggestion there that he wasn't the only one who did.

He considered the other unicorn's words carefully for a moment before he turned fully to face him and took a measured step towards him, trying not to let the shock of energy get to him, at least not visibly.

"Well, you mentioned something about a woman earlier. Do you remember if she had a name, or what she looked like?" He asked, trying desperately to steer the conversation in a direction that distracted him from the obvious, but it was extremely difficult. His mouth felt a little dry, his heart was beating a little faster in his chest. It was like every fiber of his being craved that touch, begged for Lonely Bird to step forward and connect with him again.

He forced himself to look away from the man when he realized there was probably a visible heated gaze of hunger in his eyes; he dug his fingernails into the palm of one of his hands as he tried to ground and get a hold of himself. He hadn't felt that kind of pull in a VERY long time, there was something so innocent and pure about it, despite the unpure intentions he might've had otherwise.

Nope. Not thinking about it.

"Do you remember at all what it looked like, when you woke up?" More distractions. Practically useless. Damn.

Lonely Bird closed his eyes for a moment before he took a deep breath...

Dropped his hands and shrugged, "I'm not drunk enough to think about it," He admitted. It wasn't really unicorn-ly of him, he supposed. He looked around, "Where are you staying?" His hands held his sides, though he kept stealing glances at various fleshy bits Spike displayed. Wondering if would feel the same if he touched somewhere besides the wrist. Briefly he wondered what would happen if he pressed his forehead to his but the idea alone made his skin tingle in a not good way.

If Lonely Bird, the unicorn without a horn, hated having his forehead touched, what would it feel like for a Unicorn that did? A tilt of his head and he looked at Spike's forehead curiously, frowning at his hand that was slowly, ever so slowly, making his way to the other mans cheek before he realized what was happening. His hand snapped back and he tucked it under his elbow again.

"You're short," He finally realized, using it as an excuse to stand closer, shoulder height. Lonely Bird smirked, tilting his head and hesitantly put his hand on Spike's clothed shoulder, the buzzing was there, but the zing wasn't.  It was a friendly squeeze before he pulled his hand away, "how about I buy us some more drinks, we go to where you're staying or where I'm staying and you can help me... Figure this out." A slow breath and he shook his head, "I'd... Appreciate the help, and... We can maybe try to figure out whatever... This is." 'This' being the tingle and Lonely Bird waved his hands between them to indicate the invisible... WhateverItWas.

"Either way, none of this is really for prying eyes," He looked at the few people milling about, staring at the strange pair. The almost ethereal and angelic Lonely Bird and the smaller, scrappy looking Spike. What a pair they were.

Spike couldn't help the bit of a dry laugh that came out when Lonely Bird said he wasn't drunk enough for this. Spike wasn't usually one to get drunk much himself, but for once he nodded in agreement; getting drunk sounded like a fantastic idea right about now.

"I haven't yet found a place to stay, I only got here a few hours ago." He said with a shrug; his gaze flickered to the hand that was slowly reaching for him, and just as he was about to give in and move just enough forward that they'd have touched again, the hand was retracted.

He let out a slight breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. Shit.

He raised his eyebrows at the man's genius comment, realizing it for what it was, as Lonely Bird stepped forward and placed a hand on his shoulder. His icy gaze slid from the unicorn's face to his hand and then back again, something sparking in those eyes of his that could have told books about how he wanted to touch the other man just as much.

"If you're offering, I'd be a fool to refuse." He practically purred, that smirk finding its way on his face far too easily. He leaned in just close enough that it was clear there was more going on here, and some of the bystanders on the street looked away with blushes on their faces.

Spike was too well versed in the 'come get me, I dare you' bedroom eyes look. "I'm all for going somewhere more private." He said before stepping away, indicating it was time for them to leave the street--but not before he let their hands brush again, and that electric tingling sensation was so energizing and euphoric he had to bite his lip to keep himself from making any lewd noises in public.

What had he just gotten himself into?

"Know any other good taverns around here, or would you like to go back to where we met earlier?" He asked, his voice just a tad bit rougher.

Lonely Bird wasn't quite sure how to process that. He licked his lips and stared. Shock? Horror? No, neither, though Lonely Bird was sure to keep his hands to himself.  Spike wasn't going to be around forever. He was going to help get back his horn and then they'd part ways. It would be best to not get used to the sensation. As odd and as nice as it was. Then the numbness went away and Lonely Bird gasped again, hands shuffling to be tucked under his elbows so that he'd stop touching the kid.

Alarmed, Lonely Bird watched Spike bite his lip and he frowned slightly, watching the shorter man for a moment. Was he hurt? Did that hurt? Lonely Bird looked at his wrist before he shuffled away a little and shrugged, not missing the roughness Spike's voice took on. "I figured I'd just buy some whiskey off the bar and hole up somewhere and finish it. It's always easier to think of shitty things when you're not sure if you're on land or sea." A shrug and he shuffled backwards a little, keeping his eyes on Spike, before he turned around completely and went back to the tavern.

This was weird.

Lonely Bird closed his eyes for a long moment before he took a seat at one of the tables, flagging down a barmaid and gently touching her wrist before he requested a mostly full bottle of whiskey. No tingles. No zings. Just Spike then. Maybe it was a horn thing. He'd ask later. Maybe. Confused but compliant, the girl brought the whiskey to the table and a few glasses and Lonely Bird made sure that the chairs beside his weren't close enough to actually touch someone.

A mouth of whiskey to feel it burn and he closed his eyes with a sigh, looking up at the ceiling. This is gonna be a long night, he decided, and if he wanted to talk about his first set of memories he'd need to be pretty deep into his cups. "Does that hurt?" Lonely Bird suddenly asked, "You make faces. Y'know, when we touch."

Spike shrugged. It wasn't a bad idea, rather a solid concept--he'd done it himself a few times. But despite the truth to his words, Lonely Bird took them back to the tavern; he'd caught the gasp, as well as the frown, but figured that would be the end of it as they took their seat.

He saw the other unicorn brush his hand against the barmaid's wrist, his icy gaze flicking to Lonely Bird's face as he watched his reaction. It had been what Spike figured it was--an experiment. Yeah, virgin was kind of an easy way of putting it--he didn't really get physical with others at all, did he? If he hadn't noticed that it was only with other unicorns he'd feel like this.

He leaned back in his seat, getting rum for himself. He'd come to enjoy the taste in its weird way, and he knocked back a good few gulps of his bottle before he set it down on the table, giving the other unicorn a stare that was a mixture of turned on and also calculating; unsure.

He looked away, couldn't help but smile a little. "No, it doesn't hurt. The opposite, actually. It feels amazing." He could only imagine what it would have felt like if they held hands--if they held each other naked. If--nope. Nope. No. Bad.

He licked his lips, his mouth feeling a little dry, so he took another sip of his drink, looking back at the man, his gaze running up and down, taking in everything he saw.

"I'm a very physical creature." He said, with a slight shrug. "Sensitive to things like this. It is what it is. What about you?" He suddenly asked, raising his eyebrows a little. "How does it feel?" Considering Lonely Bird didn't have his horn anymore, what would it feel like for him? Just as good? Or perhaps it did hurt?

How did it feel for him?

Lonely Bird placed his hands on the table, palms up, pale, immaculate. He couldn't even remember if he actually ever got dirty. A lingering look to Spike, caught the strange look in his eyes, unfamiliar but calculating. It made him want to recoil a little, like something not right was in the other mans head. A wince and he brought his own hand to his head, pressing his knuckles to his temple before he took another swig of his whiskey.

"It feels like I can breath after drowning for ten years," He stated simply, shaking his head, giving Spike's neck a hungry look. Not because it was Spike, or the fact it was his neck, but because Lonely Bird had really... He missed being able to breath. He couldn't remember what it was like to not be muted. If touching Spike was a hint of that... Lonely Bird would probably do just about anything for his horn back.

A nod to Spike's head, "Maybe whatever's in me is... Breathing... Through you when we touch," He touched the bridge of his nose, to point to the seal. Another drink, "She gave me this, she said, because she was my friend and that I deserved to live longer with her, then I woke up like this." A frown and a far away look in his eyes, shaking his head to try and remember, "It was green, there was a lake. A beautiful castle." Lonely Bird laughed bitterly, "But that could be anywhere in Serendipity," He stated, "Her name was Sylvia and she was beautiful, kind. Gentle." A frown, why did he know that?

"I never..." A shake of his head, "I don't know if I like it," Lonely Bird stated, rubbing his finger tips together, the tingling sensation of being so close to Spike along with the alcohol made for an interesting sensation, "I miss breathing, but ... I can't miss it if I don't get to experience it anymore," A confused frown and Lonely Bird shook his head, "But I can experience it through you." And he held his hand, palm up on the table.

Spike stayed respectfully quiet while he listened to Lonely Bird. It definitely seemed like he hadn't been joking around earlier, the alcohol really did seem to loosen his tongue. He poured himself a glass of the other unicorn's whiskey in the meantime, with all intentions of getting trashed tonight. He was a unicorn--when he woke up in the morning he'd feel just fine. Yay, magic, and all that.

He caught the hunger in the other man's gaze; after all, for all the years he'd been around, having sex with mortals and immortals alike, he'd be an idiot not to recognize it. It was torture. He downed the glass of whiskey in one go.

"S'possible." He said, that roughness in his voice, a bit husky, a bit gravely. It was a mix of the alcohol and his present company that did it. "I mean, I kinda remember something like that, a really long time ago. When I was still with my family." He could barely remember most of them now. "There was always so much... Energy when we were around each other. When we touched." He glanced at Lonely Bird's bare hands, before directing his gaze to the other's eyes.

"Well you have a name and an idea of a place, that's a good start. Can't imagine there's too many lakes with castles around here. Someone should know somebody named Sylvia, obviously she was a magic user. Those are kinda hard to miss."

His attention was caught by the man's bare hand on the table, palm up, facing him, taunting him. He looked back up at Bird for a moment before he looked back at his hand, hesitated, and then reached out and touched him again. This time, he made sure to take a hold of the other unicorn's hand, so it'd be harder for him to pull away so immediately.

It was like being immersed in a hot spring from his hand out to the rest of his body. But once the initial shock and electrical pulse of energy passed over them, it evened out to a more steady buzz. It was still warm, still pleasurable, but now instead of being so surprising, it felt more like he wanted to melt into it. It was easier to tolerate, but there was no denying it. It was a steady pass of energy from himself to the other unicorn, though he wasn't receiving so much as giving.

He let out a heated breath he'd once again been unknowingly holding, before he let out a breathy laugh and shook his head, looking up at Lonely Bird. "Drowning is pointless when you can save yourself." He said, eyebrows raising just slightly, again with that challenging bedroom eyes look of his--not that he really did it on purpose this time. It was natural.

"Why drown when you can live and it can feel this good?"

Perhaps his unintentional name had suited him far too well.

Lonely Bird stared down at his hand, trying to remember anything. It was fuzzy. Having never really bothered before. It hurt to remember. Mentally. Physically. A careful breath and he stared at his pale palm, listening to Spike speak. Being around others. He couldn't remember the last time he was around others - besides now. Why had he ever left. Lonely Bird was about to pull his hand away, but then the warm palm of Spike was on it and he could breathe again.

For a moment, just a moment, Lonely Bird let himself revel in it. Let the calm wash over him. Let his head breath the surface of his self imposed prison. Take a deep breath. For a second Lonely Bird's hand tightened to Spike's and then he took a slow shuddering breath, a flush building on his cheeks at feeling anything. Guild overwhelmed him for a moment, remembering everything he'd done since he'd lost his horn. The murders. The kidnapping.

The sensation of feeling though was wonderful and terrifying and Lonely Bird stared at Spike with wide eyes, breath short before he snapped his hand away violently. Pouring himself another drink and tossing that back before he ignored the glass a second time. That was awful and wonderful. Licking his lips and catching his breath he rubbed his hand on his pants and glared at Spike across the table.

"It's easier to not feel anything," he snapped frowning, expression going dark. Too many things, Lonely Bird decided. "What's the point of feeling good if you feel bad, too," Lonely Bird frowned, confused, squeezing his hand into a fist, frowning at Spike. "I've been like this for a decade, that's a long time to..." He frowned again, looking a little confused, "Not notice you don't feel anything." It startled him, actually. Had he been just... Numb this whole time? A longing, lingering look to Spike's hand and he took another swig of his whiskey, wanting that buzzing to be numbed away.

Another frown to Spike, one of two expressions on Lonely Birds roster. "Why are you so sensitive," He finally snapped out.

In the time that their hands were touching, he felt a little bit too aware of his new friend, here. He watched his every movement; saw the shuddering breath, felt his muscles tense as he squeezed Spike's hand. Something burned inside of him, inside of both of them, and it was aching, scratching at the back of Spike's mind.

When Lonely Bird suddenly pulled away, it was a bit disorienting, to break the connection like that. It left Spike feeling a bit dazed, but he kept his gaze focus as he listened to the other man, watching him intently with those piercing frosty eyes of his.

"It's easier, sure, but then what's the point of living at all if you're not going to feel anything?" He responded, ignoring the unicorn's stale glares for now in favor of waving the barmaid over and requesting more drink.

He leaned back in his seat, slouching against the back of his chair a little as he popped open a bottle and took a swig from it, a few droplets escaping the corners of his mouth, which he wiped away with a sigh.

"A decade's a long time. Maybe it's time you start feeling again, it can be pretty nice after all." He said with a mild shrug, before eyeing Lonely Bird carefully at his sudden snappy comment. He shrugged again.

"I can't change how the world made me; though I might've made it worse by indulging in a few too many pleasures. Too late to change it now, but I don't mind." In fact he kind of liked it. Even right now. He wouldn't admit it, but he liked this torture. Not being able to touch the other unicorn, respecting his wishes and keeping off of him when he wanted to do the exact opposite.

He took another drink, realizing he was starting to feel warm and fuzzy now for reasons other than the energies passing between the two of them. Good.

"I'm not going to live," Lonely Bird snapped, frowning. Why couldn't this little shit remember that? Having no horn was as good as a death sentence. Him being alive at all right now was only because of the seal. The seal so kindly bestowed upon him from that strange woman he barely remembers. Sylvia. Whoever that was. "What's the p---" A Deep breath and he drank again, irritated.

A little angry.

What was the point.

Why did Spike care so much.

Lonely Bird knocked back another mouthful of whiskey, enjoying how it burned and how it felt awful and wonderful in his stomach. "Don't mind," Lonely Bird scoffed. He wanted to scold the unicorn for letting himself be tainted but... Hypocrite. He swallowed carefully before moving to stand up. He wanted to leave. For good. Just go, get on his stupid boat and go to some coast and pick people up and then sell them and just drink his woes away.

Sort of.

The woes didn't actually go away.

Lonely Bird swayed though, frowned, put his hands on the table and then sat down again carefully. "What made you..." He nodded to Spike again, "Want the..." He wanted to say pleasure but... He could guess. If it was anything like the brief touches, he could sort of figure out why but... "Why do you want to help me," He finally ground out, "Is it because we're the same? Do you feel pity for me? Or do you just... Want me to experience what you experience."

The look on his face when Lonely Bird said experience was a clear indicator that he meant doing the sex thing.

It was kind of amusing.

His eyebrows shot up as he watched Lonely Bird get so frustrated. He wasn't used to talking about his feelings. Or even acknowledging that he owned such preposterous things. He was broken five ways from here to Sunday.

Just like Spike was.

He followed him with his eyes as he stood up, and then as he abruptly plopped down, his head nodding a little with the movement. Yep. He was getting pretty drunk, huh? Spike wagered he was too, because when Lonely Bird asked him what made him want such human desires, and he seriously answered.

"I didn't choose it." He said, his words feeling a little sluggish on his lips as he knocked back another sip. "I was pure and a virgin and all that too at one point. Got captured by some slave traders, got sold. They ripped me apart." He let the bottle hit the table with a rather satisfyingly loud clank.

"They took everything away from me--you know, we can never go back." He said, suddenly leaning forward and resting his elbows on the table, pointing at Lonely Bird and then to himself. "If we found any other unicorns who were still pure, they'd kick us out. Maybe even try to kill us. We're both abominations. Maybe that's why I wanna help you, cause I know how it feels to get fucked over by humans."

He snorted and shook his head, resting his chin on the table.

"I decided I'd like what they did to me so they couldn't take anything more from me. So I learned to like it. Now I love it, it's not bad. I feel in control again. Plus it feels good so that's a bonus." His brows furrowed a little, before his blueish gaze met Bird's own aquas.

"Misery loves company." Maybe they could at least lick each others' wounds and feel a little better together.

The loud clank had Lonely Bird jump and his bright blue eyes - though a little glassy from alcohol - and his attention was on Spike and only Spike. The short story about his life made the room go black and all the noise but his voice was drowned out. Sold. Ripped apart. Lonely Bird chewed on the inside of his cheek, numb enough to not feel it. The whiskey doing it's job like a well paid worker. A careful swallow and he looked down at himself when Spike indicated them.

They could never go back.

If he could go more pale he would have, his chest tightened and he let out a little breath, fingers tingling. The buzz from Spike was becoming something he could get used to but this new numbness. Guilt. Without the touching. Lonely Bird just stared at him, looking... Sad. A product of his life choices was sitting across from him. Would Spike still be with his herd? Would he have a family still? Would he be able to feel... Touch? And loved?

Lonely Bird chewed on his lip for a moment before he stood up.

It was a wiggly gait, one hand on the table before he kneeled beside Spike, one hand on his sleeved arm before he dragged his hand down to grab his hand. The feelings were back, less muted, his breathing was easier and weight was off his shoulders. Carefully, with the back of Spike's fingers, he brought it to his head, pressing the unicorns fingers against the seal on his forehead. Lonely Bird couldn't remember much of his life before he was stuck as a human, but the aversion to touch on his forehead had always been an indicator.

It didn't hurt. It didn't feel bad. It was just... Too intimate. Too personal. Like having to stand naked in front of a crowd of strangers and they were all going to stare at you. "I'd like your help," Lonely Bird said, still holding Spike's hand to his head. "It would be nice to be around others again, make our own herd with..." Lonely Bird chuckled, "With whiskey and rum."

If the willing touches weren't indicator enough, the poor excuse for a joke and the chuckle would have let anyone know that he was truly very full of alcohol.

There were a solid few moments where Spike couldn't tell what was going on in the other unicorn's head. His brows furrowed as he tried to figure it out, but couldn't, because he was drunk. Had he been sober he'd have recognized that sadness in a heartbeat, but drunk, it just confused him. It made no sense so nope he was seeing things wrong.

Except maybe he wasn't because suddenly Lonely Bird was standing up, wobbling around the table to drop to his knees beside him, which just made Spike frown. He felt the other unicorn's hands on his own, and then his hand was pressed to the seal on the man's head, and he just stared at him a bit dumbly.

He said he wanted his help, wanted to make their own herd with whiskey and rum. He couldn't tell if he was joking or not. He wasn't sure he cared.

Spike let his hands move to Lonely Bird's jawline, drawn there by the sparking energy between them, and the intimacy of the moment, coupled with the warmth of the alcohol making them both act like fools. He pulled the other man forward and met him halfway, their lips crashing against each other in a somewhat sloppy, somewhat sweet and innocent kiss, as he wrapped his arms around the man's neck.

He broke their embrace just enough to look him in the eyes and say one thing.

"Deal."
Title: Re: Morning Tide [Lonely Bird]

Deal.

Cool.

Lonely Bird blinked up at him, looking confused, a little flushed. Mostly confused. He licked his lips before bringing his hand up to touch his lips. It wasn't unpleasant but it wasn't life changing. Slowly, he got back onto his feet and stumbled back to his chair, glaring at the people looking at him. Another lick of his lips, finding that there was a lingering tingle to them. Was that normal? Was that because it was a kiss or because Spike had given it to him.

Another little breath, another swig of Whiskey and he puffed out his cheeks and stood up, bottle in hand, other hand out and waiting for Spike.

"C'mon, Shorty," He huffed out, frowning, forgetting perhaps, just what touching the other unicorn did to him, "I'm almost too out of it to remember where I sleep so... Let's go." He grumbled, giving his fingers an impatient wiggle.  Lonely Bird was tired. Today was weird, there was so much whiskey in him his eyes were probably a nice amber colour. "I want to talk so more but..." He frowned and looked around, "Not here. Too many people."

Would it matter if these people knew they were unicorns?

Did they even count as unicorns anymore?

Lonely Bird pouted at the thought. He had liked being a unicorn. Still, he stood though, looking sort of pouty down at Spike, hand out to drag him back to his room.

Well, he hadn't been outright rejected. So that was a plus.

He let Lonely Bird go, watching him with glazed eyes as he found his way back to his seat and took another drink of his whiskey. Spike copied him; he probably shouldn't have. He either hadn't noticed the stares, was used to them, or just didn't care, because he didn't take his eyes off of Bird as the unicorn got up again, suddenly disliking their surroundings and offering him his hand up.

Spike raised his eyebrows a little. Maybe he'd drank enough that he wouldn't get a boner, so he tested it and took the unicorn's hand, not really sure what he was accepting, if he was being offered just a hand to stand up, or something else. His brain was too fuddled to really think twice about it so he pulled himself to his feet, swaying only a lot, and following wherever his drunken companion led him.

Lonely Bird said he knew where he was sleeping, but did he really? Spike just smiled to himself like a fool and followed after him, the tingling sensation making his whole arm feel strange and warm, and then that sensation spread from his arm to his chest, and from his chest to his tummy and groin and his toes, and up his neck to his head and out to his other arm. It was nice. He felt like he was a constantly vibrating bee. Buzz buzz.

"So what else is it you wanted to talk about?" He asked, barely holding back a chuckle because he totally could have made a bee joke right there and it would have been hilarious. Hell he already thought it was hilarious and he hadn't even made the joke yet. But Birdy probably would've smacked him for it. If he had been sober he'd probably have smacked himself for it too, oopsies. But that's how things went.

Buzz buzz.

With the alcohol to help mute the feeling, Lonely Bird could tolerate the touch better. It didn't zing. It didn't make his stomach clench. There were no unfamiliar butterflies in his stomach to make his chest feel hollow. When he began to lead Spike away, there was an audible sigh of disappointment from a bar maid which Lonely Bird ignored. Mostly because he didn't understand.

"I don't know," he replied honestly, "I... I just wanted to be near you and talking seems to be the best way to accomplish that." A squeeze of the hand in his, finding himself feeling a little lighter and a little more carefree the longer his flesh touched Spikes.

There was also an unfamiliar wamrth in his gut but for the most part he ignored that.

"This way," he slurred out, dragging his companion to the dock. It wasn't a massive ship, but the way Lonely Bird waltzed onto it was a clear indicater that it was his - or he was very stupid. A quick 'cap'n' from a strange purple man with fleshy wings and lethal looking fangs, a brisk not from Lonely Bird.

It wasn't long before a door opened and Spike was push-pulled into the bedroom. A desk. A chair. A map held down by knives. Contracts. Papers were everywhere, rolled up on the desk, the floor and the chair.  The bed wasn't made but it was plush and comfortable looking.

What Lonely Bird was lacking in horn, he made up for in greediness and material goods.

"The bed is comfortable," he nodded to it, "I..." he huffed, looking a little confused, "I dont remember beinf around others," his voice was gruff, "but if it's always like this I may have to keep you." The words were honest and he looked down at his hand on Spike's before he let it go and leaned back on the desk, hands on the edge.

"If you don't want to stay here I'm sure the crew wouldn't mind you," A dark smile was on the unicorns face, "they aren't picky."

Lonely Bird's response was enough to get some of the giggles to fizzle out of him, and Spike sobered up enough to pick up on the barmaid's frustrated sigh. He looked over his shoulder at her, giving her a playful wink. Sorry sweetheart, maybe the next one who comes around'll be your winner.

He followed the other unicorn through the streets, almost tripping in an attempt to keep up with his pace--he had much longer legs than Spike did, it made him have to scramble a little harder. He was too drunk to care.

He wasn't really all that fond of boats--not that he hadn't been on them before, they were just something he didn't really.. Do on a regular basis. But the liquid courage certainly helped, that and he was practically being dragged up the ramp onto the deck past a giant purple people eater. Spike idly thought in the back of his mind he probably had a real interesting dick and he wanted to see it.

The captain's quarters were certainly lavish, enough so to make Spike raise his eyebrows in amusement and interest as he took a quick look around while half-listening to what Lonely Bird said. He suddenly became aware of the fact that the warm tingly feeling was gone and looked over to the other unicorn where he was leaning up against his desk with that nasty smile--it was hot.

"I'm not picky either." He said as he sauntered up to the man, grabbing him by the shirt and tugging him back to the bed until it hit the backs of Spike's knees and he sat on it, smirking deviously up at the other man.

"Keep talking about your crew like that and I might just take them up on the offer, sounds like my kinda party." His voice was rough, laced with something Lonely Bird wouldn't have liked sober but might find intriguing when drunk.

The heated tint in Spike's frosty silver gaze as he looked up at him through those lashes with those bedroom eyes of his probably didn't help either--he'd perfected the look of a tantalizing slut and it was obvious he loved it.

Gangbangs? Hell yes. Especially with purple people eater out there.

But not right now--right now he was focused on the pretty guy in front of him, as his hands found their way under his shirt, the electrical energy between them making his breath hitch as he touched the other man's pale skin.

"I don't think a bed is comfortable unless if there's someone else with me in it." He teased as he found the jutting shape of Lonely Bird's hips, giving them a light squeeze. "Wanna be a lucky guy tonight?"

This was...

Interesting.

Lonely Bird sucked in his breath when he was dragged to the bed by his shirt, let himself be moved and he reeled slightly when Spike stopped, hands moved to prop himself up on the bed. A curious little frown at the shorter man and then his mouth dropped open. Wait, what. "No, no, that was a threat," he started to confirm, frowning, looking over his shoulder before reaching behind his head to pull the tie from his hair.

Despite not having a horn and being a human, with his hair he sort of looked ethereal. Practically opalescent in how pure white it was, a perfect wave to it and Lonely Bird looked down at the hands in his shirt - or rather at the arms that disappeared in his shirt and he shivered. A moment to have his breath hitch. He wasn't even sure if someone that didn't make him tingle has touched his chest.

Then his hips.

"Uh," A tilt of his head again, confused, frowning down at Spike, staring at his lips, then his forehead, then down to his lips again. "That's an odd stipulation for comfort," Lonely Bird murmured, looking over Spike's head at the bed. He found it comfortable alone. Taking a few steps back, he pushed Spike's hands away before he kneeled down, hooking his arm under Spike's knees and pushing him up and farther onto the bed.

Lonely Bird propped his knee on it, looking pleased with himself. "See? It's comfy," Then he paused, "Seriously though, you're not allowed to leave this room until I leave with you," A dark frown and he crossed his arms over his chest, not enjoying the fact his bluff had been called with excitement. "I'm not letting them touch you," Lonely Bird spat out, perhaps a little harshly, "They deal with the slaves and the captives, not guests."

"Threats are hot." Spike practically purred as he was pushed further onto the bed, looking up at the beautiful man at the edge of the bed in front of him. The way his white hair fell around his face gave him a certain mystique, and seeing the range of emotions he was showing in those eyes, mainly anger, just made Spike's problems worse.

To be fair, Lonely Bird wasn't the only one of the two of them who was beautiful. He was mystical and mysterious, beautiful--Spike, on the other hand, looked perfectly lewdly gorgeous with a becoming blush on his cheeks, laying on his back underneath the man on the bed, that lusty look burning bright in those silver eyes.

He grinned at the man's commentary, sitting up slowly as he spoke. He didn't break eye contact; he looked absolutely wolfish, up to no good as he reached up, his fingertips gracing the pale skin of the man's neck before he took a light hold of the back of his neck, his other hand coming up to get a grip of the shirt material on Bird's back.

"Uh-huh," He said in response to the bed being comfy, leaning in closer and closer as he used the other man's position to his advantage and started to pull him forward with the hopes of getting him on his hands and knees above Spike.

"I'm not allowed to leave?" He teased, his lips a mere breath away from Lonely Bird's. "You better give me a damn good reason to listen to you."

His voice had the slightest hint of a growl in it before he closed the distance between the two of them, their lips meeting in another crash of warmth and electricity that rushed through his blood like adrenaline and made the entirety of his being feel like it was heating up several degrees. This time he wasn't so sweet and simple as he had been in the tavern; he let his tongue slide against the other unicorn's lower lip before he gave it a playful nip, his fingers finding some of his white hair at the base of his neck and giving it a little tug as he smirked into their embrace.

So out of his element.

Sure he'd had people try to seduce him before. Promising an exchange of something for their freedom and usually he'd be okay with it. Let them do their piece before he'd laugh at their face and then send them away with -usually- the scariest looking crew mate. So far that had only back fired once, which was good considering how many times he'd done it.  Lonely Bird's train of thought was interrupted by hands on him again.

It was comforting the move often it happened and his blue eyes focused back in on blue. For a few moments, he was enchanted by how lovely Spike's eyes were. Such a different colour, even though they were the same. So similar but so different. Oh he was talking. Like Spike wanted him to, Lonely Bird crawled up onto the bed so he could stare at the other unicorn's eyes some more, before being completely above him on his hands and knees.

The kiss was a surprise, of course it was, but Lonely Bird only recoiled a little bit before he let Spike finish. Lonely Bird, having no idea how to kiss, kinda just pursed his lips and waited, his eyes falling closed briefly. The tingling on his lips was nice and he pressed in just a little bit before Spike nipped at him and he jerked away, looking a little alarmed. "Well," He started, licking his lips, "I'm the Captain of this ship and you're on my ship, so that means I'm your Captain." Another brief look down at Spike and he shuffled them farther onto the bed, practically sinking into the blankets.

"And you have to listen to your Captain," Lonely Bird smirked, "That's the rules." He  said, leaning forward and... Nipping Spike's nose and giving him a sort of challenging look, chin tilted, glassy eyed and just waiting for Spike to take him up on the fight. Sorta fight.

Good, it was working. He had Lonely Bird's attention, and briefly, in the back of his mind, he wondered what the unicorn's crew was thinking right about now. After all, their captain was a virgin. This might be the first time he'd ever dragged someone like this back to his cabin. Oh well. Thoughts for later.

Right now he only cared about one thing, and his grin was absolutely evil as he locked eyes with the other man, and refused to look away.

He found Lonely Bird's blue depths just as entrancing of course, and after so long of looking so deeply into them, he started to wonder if he could ever look away, even if he wanted to. He didn't so it didn't matter.

He scooted back on the bed with the man above him, hands still trailing up around his neck and shoulders before they slid downward, eyes glittering mischievously.

"So the rules of the ship are that I have to listen to you?" He repeated back to the man, raising his eyebrows with amusement. "Well I've never been one to follow the rules." He said, leaning up a little bit, he raised his knee in between Lonely Bird's legs, brushing against his groin while one hand slid tan fingertips under the waistline of the other man's pants, grazing against the skin just below his naval.

"Make me."

He pushed his hand lower, finding his length and giving it a teasing squeeze, the touch no doubt being nothing short of exhilarating for the other--the fact that he was a virgin probably helped.

Was that normal?

Lonely Bird just stared into Spike's eyes and it frustrated him a little that the other Unicorn wouldn't just... Accept that this was his place and he should listen to him. The shiver's were never ending and his nerve endings were tingling and on fire and Lonely Bird bit his lip but his eyes didn't waver. Though, his cheeks flushed when he felt the fingers. Confusion was bright in his eyes and he let out a shuddering breath, frowning.

Then his eyes went wide and he stared, still confused, curious. Afraid. "Wh--" Lonely Bird broke eye contact first to look between them and he moved a hand to grab Spike's wrist, taking it in his smooth pale hand and holding into to the bed and then leaned up and looked very concerned. "Oh, Spirits," Lonely Bird gasped and sat up, kneeling, looking down at his groin.

"What did you do?!" He looked a little panicked, "I mean, once in a while I wake up with it like that but..." He pointed to his groin, alarmed at the state it was in, "Spike!" He gasped, flushed and worried, "fix it!"

Yknow, there were just... There were some stories that would never be as funny if you weren't there to experience them firsthand. Telling people about them afterwards just didn't do them justice.

This was definitely one of those moments.

Spike's eyebrows shot up when his hand was suddenly pinned to the bed, as alarm and panic set in on the other unicorn's face and he started frantically thinking that something was wrong with him. Perhaps that Spike had used some kind of black magic to break him and make his body do strange things he didn't understand.

Spike just started laughing; it wasn't his normal quiet chuckle, no when he was drunk he just wheezed and snickered. "What did I do," He finally responded, before sitting up and grabbing Lonely Bird's hand, pressing it against Spike's own crotch, so he could see he wasn't the only one having this reaction.

"I did something you like." He said with a grin. "S'is perfectly normal. It means you like it and it means your body wants me just as mine wants yours. If you want me to fix it I can.~" He giggled a little, which was funny in and of itself because Spike didn't giggle usually.

He took advantage of the man's confusion, and used his own muscle power to push Lonely Bird onto his back on the bed, so Spike could straddle his hips, looking down at him with desire burning in those silvery-blue eyes of his like embers in a roaring fire. He leaned down, pushing the other unicorn's shirt up so he could press kisses and nips from his abdomen up to his chest.

"I can take real good care of you, if you want me to. I promise you won't regret it.~" He looked up at Lonely Bird, just an inch away from one of his nipples before he let out a hot breath against it, leaning down and letting his tongue lav against the sensitive skin while he palmed the other man through his pants.

Lonely Bird found that Spike was beautiful when he smiled.

For a brief sobered moment, he stared at the man below him, not seeing the broken abused unicorn, not see the strange drunk man he'd dragged to his cabin. Just past the fleshy casing, the playform for the (probably) glorious beast it contained and there was an impulse to do that lip-pressing thing with him. Which Lonely Bird ignored well enough. Mostly because his mind went from how beautiful Spike was despite his scars and past and fleshy casing and everythin to what was that in his hand.

Mouth open slightly, Lonely Bird gave a confused curious squeeze and that was a penis.

His brain processed the words after the fact and then he was on his back looking up and how dare he do that! "Hey!" Lonely Bird barked but made no move to... Move. Instead he remained on his back, the ceiling swimming slightly - or the fact they were on a boat did it. Swallowing carefully, flushed, he watched Spike push his shirt up, exposing his pale smooth skin, tense, sucking in breath a little panicked.

"But I'm not sick," He finally said, "Why would you have to take care of me?" Another confused frown, "I don't even get sick," His hands moved to rest on Spike's thighs, confused, "Wh--Hey!" Another surprised bark and he licked his lips and bit them. A little overwhelmed by sensation, even with the numbness of alcohol. The throbbing in his pants was almost painful and Lonely Bird gave a needy grind upwards into Spike's hand. "Am I sick?" He panted, confused again, flushed, irritated and a little angry that this weird tiny guy was sitting on him.

Despite Lonely Bird's protests, he made no attempts to throw Spike off either. So Spike stayed put, right where he was.

He just laughed again at the man's comments, sitting up to unclasp the jewel embedded in the collar around his throat, shrugging it off and tossing it to the floor somewhere after he slipped out of the arm braces that were attached to the cloak that was a part of it. With deft fingers he undid the lacing of his tunic on his sides, sliding it off, tossing it, and revealing that the leather armor laced up his legs were separate from the shorts he wore underneath his top--shorts that were rather form-fitting and did a good job accentuating his hips and ass. It seemed he was very obviously used to stripping in a quick moment, because the whole process took him less than a minute.

He just grinned down at Lonely Bird, those icy eyes of his glittering still with lust and.. Strangely enough, pure, honest to goodness joy. He was having so much fun with this, and he really did love doing this with men. Particularly the one beneath him right now, it seemed.

"You aren't sick." He said as he yanked the other unicorn's pants down far enough to free his needy member, humming when he saw it--seemingly quite pleased with himself. "No, you are perfectly healthy." He said, his voice a low growl as he grasped the man's length and gave it a few testing strokes; it felt even better than holding Lonely Bird's hand, he realized.

The buzzing energy that made him tingle, made him shiver down his spine as his own need throbbed even harder. Fuck. Fuck this was going to feel so good he could hardly wait.

Again, with nimbleness and flexibility he finally couldn't take it any more, shimmying out of his shorts, the way his hips swayed and shifted with the movement nothing short of mesmerizing, it was second nature to him now. For Lonely Bird's sake, for now he covered himself with one hand, deciding a little bit of modesty might just save his companion from a heart attack as he readjusted himself, on his knees over the man's hips.

He licked his lips, heart hammering with excitement and anticipation. The alcohol just made everything feel that much warmer, that much more intimate, even if it was arguably a little hard to keep his balance with the swaying movements of the ship.

"Out of the kindness of my heart I'm about to do all of your work for you so just relax and enjoy, alright?~" He purred, and there was something about the confidence in his voice and the smirk on his face that said that he'd done this thousands of times that might be just what Lonely Bird needed to finally convince him to give in, if he could do such a thing. Or it might've been the way Spike's scarred chest visibly rose and fell with his heated breaths, barely able to contain his excitement, the moonlight spilling over his tanned chest and illuminating some of the bright scars adorning his body. It made the white in his salt-and-pepper hair almost glow, and with the confidence that made it so clear he was comfortable and in his own element right now, he probably looked particularly magical. For reasons other than him being a unicorn.

The moonlight seemed to be more than enough. Lonely Bird watched a little detached as Spike got undressed on his lap. Eyes wide. Confused. Interested and needy. Lonely Bird let out a little gasp and bit his lip when Spike so boldly gripped him. "Sss--" Lonely Bird started to say his name, hands moving go hold his hips. Fingers digging into flesh.

Mostly, Lonely Bird was staring at the scars on Spikes chest.

His fingers drifted up along his torso, trailing them. Lonely Bird himself didnt scar so he found them facinating enough. A hitched breath, a curious glance down at Spike's hands and while his eagerness was apparent enough it was clear he didnt know what to do with it.

"I dont understand," he ground out, flushed and tingling.  Hands still smoothing up and down Spike's side. His fingers lingered over a rather painful looking remnant of a wound. "Do they still hurt?" He asked, off topic and genuinely curious. Sure his dick hurt a little in a good unfamiliar way, Lonely Bird ignored it though, looking at Spike's face.

Then he frowned slightly, "why are you doing this if it's work?" Then he tilted his chin down, flushed and again, confused, "And I am anything but relaxed. Im warm and I tingle and my dick aches and I want to move but..." his hands moved along Spike's chest again, trailing along the scars, "Why are you doing this? Are you trying to prove something to me?" His voice was soft and his frown was gone.

Lonely Bird's reactions were absolutely priceless. It was kind of cute, because he didn't know when to shut up and just enjoy it. Spike supposed he'd have to teach him.

He wouldn't mind that if it felt as good as he was anticipating.

He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to the other man's confused lips, breaking it to speak but only leaving a mere centimeter of distance between them as his blue eyes stared into Lonely Bird's own, a smirk on his face.

"Sometimes," He said in response to the question about his scars, but he wasn't about to let himself get derailed off-topic here, he was determined, dammit. "I'm doing this because it's gonna have a good payoff, and because I'm selfish." He sat back up, hand going down to the other man's dick as he guided the tip to his entrance, not letting him in just yet, but taunting him as he looked at the pale unicorn beneath him with eyes almost aglow with devious intentions.

"I want to feel good, and I want to make you feel good too. So you can see what you're missing." The look in his eyes and the way his lips curved in that evil little grin of his implied that he wasn't going to be taking no for an answer, and that it was too late now for Lonely Bird to back out--this was a challenge, and he was going to accept it and he was going to win dammit.

"So stop talking and enjoy it.~" He growled, and before the other man could protest, he let his hips sink down onto Lonely Bird's length.

If there was one thing Spike was experienced in, it was taking men dry and loving every moment of it. What he wasn't experienced in, however, was fucking another unicorn. That almost undid him; he'd felt it, the sensitive tingling, the warmth just from having the tip of Lonely Bird's aching dick pressed to his entrance, but having his length inside of him, filling him up, inch by inch, with nothing but warm, tingling energy that made his whole body shiver and ache? There was no way he could've been prepared for that.

He gasped, breath catching in his throat as he already found himself choking back a moan as he took him all the way in, down to the last centimeter until he was in Spike up to his hilt.

"F-Fuck--" He choked, before he let himself lean back down, placing his hands on either side of Lonely Bird on the bed to hold himself up--his arms were trembling. His whole body was trembling. It felt so good, so amazing just from taking him in, and they hadn't even started moving yet.

Yeah no he was going to get addicted to this he could tell already. And just to think--the alcohol was dulling some of what he was feeling right now.

Of course, it wasn't enough for Spike to just sit there and enjoy it, so he started to roll his hips, letting Lonely Bird slowly slide back out before he took him in again, his breath catching as a visible shudder ran down his spine.

"H-How is this... A-Already... Feeling so good?" He panted out, continuously rocking his hips.

The movement felt even better, the friction and the feeling of Lonely Bird so deep inside of him was already almost too much to handle. And to think, he was practiced in this, his endurance was usually so much longer lasting but with how this was already feeling he wasn't sure how long either of them were going to last.

It was sort of overwhelming and Lonely Bird wasn't really sure what to do. His hands went from Spike's chest to his thighs then back up and then into the bedding and he just sort of went from sucking in his breath and holding it to short little gasps and he let his head fall back with a sort of breathy moan when Spike really started to go to town. Enjoy it? His heart was beating at an alarming rate and he was pretty sure he'd be breathing too hard from nerves to really enjoy anything.

Well, sort of.

"Oh, Spirits," Lonely Bird moaned softly to the ceiling, hands resting on Spike's hips now. This was new. His teeth dug into his top lip and he pressed his head back into the bed, chest raising and falling before his aqua eyes snapped open and he looked up at the strange creature on top of him. "Why are you so hot inside?" He gasped out, squeezing hips and holding him down for a moment, was this it? It was fantastic and he'd never felt so warm in his life but it wasn't anything to --- oh.

Lonely Bird had to bite back a moan.

His teeth were sunk into his lower lip, his face was flushed and Lonely Bird gave inexperienced jerks of his hips before he squeezed Spike's hips down against his own. "I don't like this," He hissed, sitting up, pushing Spike up so they were chest to chest and the scarred beauty was impaled on him. It might have just been the fact that every touch felt like literal magic, the tingling, the blooming pleasure. The tight little ass on his lap. Lonely Bird's eyes fell closed in his new seated position and he gave a sigh before he frowned again and rolled them over to draw away.

Of course, he didn't stay away long and he didn't actually leave the hot confines of his new little friend.

Taking Spike's wrists in one hand, he pulled them high above his head and held them there on the bed before he looked down into Spike's eyes, illuminated by the moon light and on impulse, he did that lip-touching thing his little unicorn seemed to like so much. Lonely Bird curled one arm behind Spike's head to prop himself up and tried to mimic the movements from earlier. Eventually, through chaste kisses, sweaty chests and a rhythm, Lonely Bird managed to get the idea of how to 'sex' down.

Though, the pleasure would be too much and he'd sink his teeth into Spike's neck, where the shoulder met and he'd moan against flesh. "Spike," He panted, hands holding his wrists still in a tight almost bruising grip, it was unfortunately short (but intense for Lonely Bird) before the new sensations were too much and Lonely Bird came deep within Spike, hips giving short thrusts, panting against his shoulder, tongue dragging along his neck to taste the salt of his skin. Huh.

Well, no wonder.

Lifting his head from his neck, he looked down at Spike and licked his lips, mouth dry from the panting, sweat on his chest, hair a fluffy white mess. The glint in his shadowed eyes, would tell poor Spike he was in for a night of something. Two guesses as to what.

Spike let out a breathy chuckle at Lonely Bird's comments; he'd listened for the most part, to shut up and enjoy it, but the things he said were still funny of course. He asked Spike why he was so warm and he couldn't really give him an actual answer, he had no idea. He had opened his mouth to say something like 'Because you made me that hot' but that would've just confused the poor man; he didn't have a chance to say anything though, because suddenly Lonely Bird decided he didn't like Spike being on top.

He was pushed up so they were both sitting up, and Spike raised his eyebrows. Before he could do anything yet again, Bird decided he didn't like that either and suddenly rolled them over.

"I swear t--" He started to growl that if the other unicorn didn't just pick something he'd... Do something about it but then his hands were pinned above his head by his wrists and Lonely Bird adjusted himself inside of him.

He couldn't help the moan that escaped his lips, and then Lonely Bird was attempting to kiss him, moving his hips and making Spike whine into the other's mouth. Alright, this was fine; the other unicorn sank his teeth into Spike's shoulder and sent shivers of pleasure and pain down his body, and then he said his name and yes this was definitely more than fine--and then Lonely Bird's body tensed and he came.

He stared at the ceiling for a minute, dumbstruck.

Look he knew he was amazing but he wasn't that amazing come on.

That hadn't taken long at all. And it wasn't like he hadn't fucked virgins before, this must've been a new record. One he was absolutely not happy with.

He had tilted his head to meet Lonely Bird's gaze and yell at him that he better not be fucking done but then he saw the look in the other man's eyes and oh he recognized that look. He'd just awakened some kind of beast in there--good maybe then he can be a man and do me properly dammit.

He wrapped his legs around the man's hips and waist, pulling him closer as he clenched his muscles, squeezing around Lonely Bird's likely still sensitive cock and growling at him.

"Look at me like that all you want, you got a long way to go before I'm done with you."

He arched his back, the movement making the moonlight slide tantalizingly along his lithe figure as his hips shifted around Lonely Bird's member, the movement making an visible shiver run through Spike's body as his breath hitched. He kept rolling his hips, letting out a heated pant as he looked up at Lonely Bird with those eyes filled with want and need and a challenge for him to finish the job and destroy him already, little whines escaping his parted lips, his face flushed from the heat of their moment and his aching need.

"Put me in my damn place already, Captain." He sneered.

Captain.

Lonely Bird gave an almost inhuman growl, bearing his teeth before he used both of his hands to pin down Spike's and his teeth went to the little unicorns throat. The new found pleasure that Spike's body offered his was greedily taken and Lonely Bird didn't resist being selfish. Little Spike wanted to be put in his place and Lonely Bird had ways of doing that.

Sure, this way was really unfamiliar and it still felt too good to the point of almost being painful, but the white haired unicorn picked up the pace again, almost a brutal one and he bit and nipped at flesh instead of kissing it. His fingers squeezed wrists and he pressed and pulled and at one point he just sank so far into Spike and then didn't move until he had him whimpering and demanding he move.

Aaah, he knew what he was forgetting.

Shifting Spike's wrists into one hand again he trailed it down the scarred mans body, pulling his head away and looking down at his cute little face before he grabbed Spike's dick and gave it a squeeze. "A little more instruction would probably benefit you," Lonely Bird teased before leaning in and pressing his lips to Spikes, repeating the motions before, his tongue laved over lips and he bit down gently.

"Putting you in your place would probably involve you bent over the desk, press your face right into Hyoite," Lonely Bird cast a glance at his desk, the lone unlit candle sitting there. "Would you like that, Spike?" He hissed, hand moving up and down Spike's cock - though Lonely Bird didn't move. The  little zings of pleasure from their contact alone kept his breath short and his chest tensing and his hand moving along his little lover.

"We can even let you wear my hat. Riiiiiight into Hyoite."

And Lonely Bird had a fabulous hat.

Suddenly teeth were sinking into his neck and Spike let out a little cry of surprise, his body jolting at the newfound pain that made that cry melt into a groan, the sound of it vibrating against Lonely Bird's teeth.

The growl was his only response it seemed, because he suddenly started slamming his hips into Spike again making the smaller man gasp, eyes wide as he bit down on his lip and let his eyes close as he enjoyed the sensation of Lonely Bird thrusting into him so hard, fuck okay it felt really good--

Just as he was starting to get close however, the man stopped, burying himself deep inside of Spike and making him whimper, eyes opening and shining with confusion and desperation; why did he stop? Nonono no don't stop--suddenly Spike felt his own length squeezed and a moan mixed into a whimper escaped him. It felt so good, but it wasn't good enough, he wanted him to keep thrusting into him, n-not--

Spike's eyes widened a little as the man kissed him, biting at him, licking him--he willingly parted his lips for him, opening his mouth to let him in and do whatever he wanted, desperate, heated pants escaping him, god he wanted it so bad.

"T-The desk huh? Y-Yeah I'd--" He choked on his words, the stroking bringing him so so close to his peak, "I'd like that, please," He whimpered, begging the smug little shit for it.

His blush was more intense now, as humiliation flared up in his chest that he was letting this virgin make him eat his words like that. But he couldn't help it; even that feeling of humiliation was turning him on right now, the fact that Lonely Bird had stolen away all control in this situation and was doing whatever he pleased to Spike, it made his head spin in the best of ways.

The steady movement of Lonely Bird's hand, along with the tone of his voice was what brought Spike over the edge, a rather lyrical cry escaping him as his back arched and his body tensed, making a bit of a mess on the other unicorn's hand and his own abdomen.

With shuddering breaths he glared at the man; "I... Am not wearing... Your fuckin h-hat." He barely managed to pant out, his voice a subtle growl. He'd happily take Lonely Bird fucking him into Hyoite though. That was perfectly fine.

Please.

That caused a rumble in his chest just remembering it.

Lonely Bird smirked down at Spike, propped up as he was and still hard inside him.  Snaking his hand from Spike's down to the back of his neck, Lonely Bird sat up briefly, weight on his hand, adjusted Spike's legs and then leaned back down. A curious glance at his hand and he brought it to his mouth, tongue swiping over it. Eh. A look down at Spike's dick and Lonely Bird grinned widely like the smug bastard he was.

"Why not?" He said, leaning forward again, giving his hips a little rock, "I'm sure you'd look great in nothing but my hat," Leaning down he pressed his lips to Spike's chest before taking flesh between his teeth and giving him a bite. It was hard to mark skin he deemed delicate. The scars looked it. Like he'd destroy what had healed.

Briefly he wondered what caused them.

Very briefly though, because he remembered that sex was nice and Lonely Bird had found that it was pleasurable and he wanted to do it probably for the rest of forever. "How about if I wear my hat," He teased, leaning forward for another of those tingling kisses, "I look fantastic naked and in my hat." Another jerk of his hips, wanting to tease.

He quite liked when Spike had that little whine and begged. He could get used to that.

Spike stared at him for a moment, eyes still half-lidded, until he rolled them in exasperation at the hat comment again. He didn't really get too much of a chance to be much of a sass though, because Lonely Bird rolled his hips and Spike gasped a little, still sensitive to the feeling of the other man still hard and buried inside of him.

Ugh. This jerk. He let out a little whine when teeth were sinking into the skin on his chest; he made sure to make it sound particularly hot, just to get him back.

His hands were released and he flexed his fingers, finding it a little difficult, because Lonely Bird had been holding them so tightly. Well. That was hot. He wasn't gonna admit it, though.

Another playful thrust and Spike groaned. "Just marry your damn hat already if you like it so much," He started to sneer before his lips were caught up in another kiss, which he eagerly parted his lips for to return, finding the heat and taste of the other unicorn's tongue on his sent little shivers coursing through his body; he liked this a little too much.

He reached up and buried his hands in the man's white hair, finding his tongue and sucking on it before he broke the kiss to start lavishing Bird's jawline and neck with kisses. His fingers ventured further and scraped lightly along the man's back.

"You still plannin on screwing me into Hyoite? I'd really like it if you did.~" He teased, lips still pressed against the other unicorn's pale skin as he gave him a nip.

"I can't marry myself to my hat," Lonely Bird grinned widely, licking his lips and looking down at his little unicorn. His breath was hot and he had a weird warm feeling in his gut when Spike had fingers in his hair. A shiver ran through him when nails were on his back and Lonely Bird squeezed his eyes shut for a few moments to gain his composure. A look over his shoulder to his desk, a curious glance to Spike and Lonely Bird just grinned.

"Maybe Later."

Later was round Who Knows.

Lonely Bird, after years without, went a little overboard on poor Spike and it was the sunrise streaming in through a window that finally gave him an indicator of exactly what time it was. There had been a few naps through the night, but then Lonely Bird would roll over, wake up Spike and then go again.

Currently, Spike was face down on the map, cheek pressed against Hyoite like he'd promised, Lonely Bird's hand in his hair holding him tight. Panting over his little unicorns body like he'd run a marathon, he bent forward, still inside Spike - it was quite nice - and let go of Spikes hair, pressing a kiss to his ear and rubbing his scarred back. Lonely Bird licked his lips and looked at Spike's back before he barked out a laugh, trailing a finger over one of the less scarred places.

In his elegant writing, a town.

A look at the map and Lonely Bird shook his head before he curled his arms around Spike to lift him forward, holding the smaller man against his chest. "I think we ruined my map," He said softly against his little lover's neck, a tilt of his head, a bright entertained grin and sure enough.

The sweat from their activities had indeed made the ink lift and smudge and almost half of Le'raana was covering Spike's body in various smudges of black.

"Oh well," Lonely Bird dragged the chair towards him with his foot and sat on it, dragging Spike with him onto his lap, eyes closed, arms around Spike. It helped that he was decently strong and that Spike was smaller than him. Made him easier to manhandle. "Nap time?" He nuzzled against Spike's shoulder, casting a glance to the bed. He was about done for now. He'd definitely gorged himself on the feast that the other unicorn provided.  "You can only nap on the bed if you can walk there yourself," He nipped at a shoulder, smirking, he hadn't exactly been gentle and once he'd figured out what Spike had liked he'd done a decent amount of it.

Lonely Bird could see why humans did that. Could see why Spike really liked it. Lonely Bird could grow to really like it, too.

Spike had to be honest with himself; it had been a really long time since he'd had a night like this with one man. Group sex was easy--people could swap out when they got tired. But this? This was kind of something else.

Granted, while it did feel amazing to touch another unicorn, it still wasn't THE BEST he'd EVER had. But if Lonely Bird kept improving at the pace that he was, it'd be up there in no time. That made him shiver.

Boy, what a life to look forward to if he could experience that.

He was left breathless and panting, his body aching and sore in the best places, the sunlight playfully shining on the slight sheen of sweat that covered him. At some point the scent of the ink reactivating had wafted past his nose and he wrinkled it a little at the smell--ink wasn't exactly a pleasant smell. But what did he care? He felt pretty good right now, and the kissing on his ear and the feeling of the other man rubbing his back only made the moment even better.

He felt pretty tired though, considering they hadn't slept the whole night through, which was something even he wasn't used to.

He snorted when Lonely Bird noticed that they'd ruined the map; Spike looked down at himself once he was in the other unicorn's lap, seeing ink smeared all over his own chest and torso. Probably on his face too; he reached up and swiped his fingers across his cheek--they came away black. He laughed a little.

"Well at least you seem to agree with me that it was worth it." He looked over his shoulder at the man, smirking, the black marks on his face almost akin to smudged warpaint. "Mmm, nap time. I dunno, if we do and you wake up are we gonna have to do this all over again?" He teased. "We might not ever get anywhere if you keep up like this."

Hell, Lonely Bird could've kept this up for the next month straight if he wanted and Spike wouldn't have complained. Well, no, he might've asked to get purple guy in on it at one point. And a couple others. Cause y'know, the more the merrier. But.

He slid off of the man's lap, wincing a little, his muscles taught and burning all over his body from so much constant activity. It felt great. He leaned on the desk for a moment, his legs shaking just a little bit and he shook his head with a snort as he felt the man's essence dripping down his legs. There was a lot.

Nevertheless he crossed the room and flopped down onto the bed, rolling himself into the sheets, absolutely smelling entirely of Lonely Bird now and nobody else. It was a pleasant feeling.

"I could definitely get used to this." He admitted, voice muffled a little by the blankets--and he wasn't even talking about the bed.

Lonely Bird felt boneless.

Once the adrenaline had ebbed away he was... Well... Noodly. Watching Spike wander to his bed and then fall into it had been sexy and he felt a clench in his gut but... He was too tired and he just watched with a fond little smile on his face. Not only was his carefully made map ruined, it was now transferred to his bed with Spike as the stamper.

Licking his dry lips, Lonely Bird carefully got out of the chair and shuffled his way to a window, cracking it open to greet the day with the call of seagulls off in the distant, the fresh sea air and a bit to get rid of the smell of sex. Sure, it was nice 'cause it was their sex but... Lonely Bird didn't really want to wake up to it. Besides, his plan was to go into his bed, unroll Spike from his sheets and pull the smaller unicorn to him.

It was alarming how much he enjoyed the contact.

So soon, too.

Still, Lonely Bird was a quick learner and he wasn't about to deny himself something that made him genuinely pleased and happy. Falling onto his bed beside Spike, Lonely Bird maneuvered the other unicorn into his arms to press against his chest. More manhandling and Lonely Bird had them in the middle of the plush bed, heads on pillows. A soft kiss to Spike's forehead and Lonely Bird yawned widely. "I promise not to wake you up first," He breathed into the white and black hair, nuzzling against him for a moment, one hand moving up and down his back gently.

"Feel free to do whatever in the cabin as long as I'm asleep though," He teased, "Maybe roll back on the map and see if you can fix it." A smile and he snuggled his head into the bed, arms loosening around Spike, exhausted from activities, Lonely Bird drifted off to sleep alarmingly quickly with the scent of the sea on the gentle morning breeze that drifted into the room.

Despite how tired he was, Spike was at least aware enough of his surroundings to amuse himself with his observations; a glance over in Lonely Bird's direction and he watched as the man opened the windows, gaze sliding down the pale skin of his back to his ass, which made Spike smirk. He was a very pretty man, indeed.

The scent of the sea washed over him and was instantly relaxing, despite the fact that he didn't really like boats, he did like water at the very least, and the sounds of the goings on outside coupled with the distant cry of gulls was incredibly soothing.

He let the other man do what he wanted as he got comfortable in the bed, pulling Spike to his chest which Spike then happily curled into. It was funny; last night when he'd been sober, he'd been so against anything coming anywhere near him. He didn't want physical contact, and even when the conversation got too close to him he had reeled away. Clearly that wasn't the case now, and Spike couldn't help but wonder why--perhaps he was a better lay than he realized? Heh.

He found it all too easy to slip into a deep sleep after he chuckled at the man's comments. When he woke up it was early evening, and he groaned as he stretched, a shiver racking through his body as he slowly sat up out of the bed, careful not to disturb the other man. He ran a hand through his hair and realized he was absolutely disgusting. Covered in dry sweat and cum and ink; so he did what any sane person would do, after a few moments of pondering it.

He looked out the open window, seeing that the dock was away from this end of the ship, and smirked to himself. Quite nimbly, he climbed out and dropped down into the sea below, because he'd much rather smell like salt water right now than anything.

The cold water hit and shocked his system, before he came back up and his head broke free of the surface. He did a quick job rinsing himself off, and once he was finished he used a little bit of his ice magic to make himself a staircase of sorts that led back up to the ship captain's window. He pulled himself out of the water and gave himself a little shake, droplets of water still running off his body as he perched himself on the sill, at least being courteous enough to air dry before he came back in and got salt water everywhere.

With a wave of his hand the ice melted back into the ocean and he sat there, leaning against the window frame as the breeze caressed him while he watched the ocean waters move on the horizon. It was quite nice, to be honest. Something he could definitely get used to.

Having always slept alone, Lonely Bird stirred when Spike did but didn't say anything. The light gave him what time of day it was and he simply lay in bed and waited. Was Spike going to leave? Was he going to wake Lonely Bird up? There was a strange sting of disappointment when he didn't wake him up. Chest empty. Heart beat noticeable. Lonely Bird frowned to himself and turned his head into his pillow, snuggling back into his bed before he turned back.

"He didn't how to go out the window," Lonely Bird muttered to himself, giving an odd look to it before he grumbled and rolled onto his back to stare at the ceiling.

What had he done.

Besides have sex all night with a strange tiny unicorn.

It would take some time to process, for sure.

Lonely Bird looked at his hands, holding them above him, fingertips to his thunbs. The tingle was gone and he briefly regretted gorging himself on it. It was gone now. Out the window. Except not. Did he got into the fucking water?! Lonely Bird shot out of bed quickly, kicking the blankets away and moving to the window, panicked. Did the unicorn even know how to swim?

Oh.

Wide eyed, looking worried.

"Fuck," He hissed, looking at Spike, letting his head fall forward, "I didn't ev..." A frown and he looked past Spike, tilting his head in confusion. "What... Did you just do? Can you do magic? Were you in the water?!" He asked in an oddly accusing voice - even though he wasn't accusing Spike of anything. Jealous maybe. Lonely Bird couldn't do magic. What bullshit was that.

Spike blinked and looked over his shoulder at Lonely Bird as the unicorn spoke; the tone of his voice sounded accusatory, urgent, and his questions only amplified that. Considering the affectionate side he'd revealed in their adventures in bed last night, he smirked; dear oh dear, was the heartless pirate starting to worry about him? That was cute.

He ran his hand through his still-wet hair, raised his hand and let a droplet of water fall right on the other man's nose. "Yes I was in the water." He said with raised eyebrows and a smirk.

He then turned his hand, palm now facing up, and slowly raised it; the droplets of water that were on his thighs raised up into the air and froze, crystallizing, the light catching and reflecting off of them, casting little rainbows of color on Lonely Bird and himself.

"Yes, I can use magic. Most of us can." He said quietly, his smirk softening into a smile.

He turned his hand palm down and clenched it in a fist; the ice liquefied and plip plipped back onto his legs. He slid his fingers into the other man's white hair and pulled him into a soft kiss.

"If I'd have known I was going to worry you, I'd have woken you up, I'm sorry.~" He teased.

There was a frown and Lonely Bird jerked away from the water, it was cold. He was mostly irritated that Spike would just disappear and then drop water on him and he had a hand halfway to his face to wipe off the water before he let his hand drop and just... Stared.

That was really pretty.

Lonely Bird frowned, reaching a hand up to the symbol on his forehead. Finger's brushing it ever so gently before he jerked his hand away and gave a shiver of discomfort. It felt like rubbing a raw nerve, touching his forehead. Lonely Bird was distracted by the ice and the simple Being Near Spike and he was easily pulled in for a kiss, eyes closing briefly and pushing into it before pulled away and moved to a closet to get a blanket before wrapping it around Spike.

Sure he'd just put ice water on himself but..

Looking at him made Lonely Bird feel cold so surely that meant that he was cold.

Whatever, it made sense. Lonely Bird moved the blanket over Spike's head, rubbing it over his hair before he went in for another kiss and briefly entertained the idea of jumping into water too for a quick fix. He was kinda gross. Lonely Bird leaned away and his eyes went wide and he whipped around at

"Captain!"

It was purple guy. A short wave of black hair, four horns, brilliant yellow eyes. Built like a brick house. Topless. Lonely Bird moved to stand in front of Spike even though he was covered in a blanket -at least he better be - and frowned.

"Yes."

"You... Are naked."

"Yes."

"Uhhh. Not important Cap'n. I'll tell you later."

And the door closed and Lonely Bird held up his hands and stared at the door in confusion. What was so important? Maybe it was time for the meal. Whatever. "I feel like I slept with sand in my eyes," He grumbled, moving his hands to his face, "I take it that isn't usually an all night activity?" He mused, lifting an eyebrow at his smaller peppered haired companion.

Spike couldn't help but smile as he watched Lonely Bird pull away, digging around in the closet for something, he wasn't quite sure what. But his reaction had been rather precious, he thought--his childlike wonder at seeing Spike's little trick made him feel a little warm and fuzzy inside; it'd been cute.

He raised his eyebrows, but didn't protest as the blanket was wrapped around him and the man started drying off his hair, catching him in a kiss that Spike wouldn't have resisted even if you paid him to; every embrace was so sweet, it sent shivers down his spine, made his heart beat a little faster. It could easily become addictive, if it wasn't already.

However the door opened and he blinked, peeking around the other unicorn's shoulder, eyes lighting up when he saw it was the purple people eater. Oh! Oh he was shirtless. Spike didn't bother hiding it at all as he looked the guy up and down, drinking in the sight of those big muscles and oi he'd definitely have to get on that at some point or another.

But he was gone too soon and Spike barely had enough time to hide his disappointment as Lonely Bird turned back to him and he smirked.

"Not for most people. I'm quite durable, though." He'd had sex with some beings on this planet that literally lasted for days on end. He loved it, practically lived for it. He wondered if Lonely Bird could get to that point, or close to it. He licked his lips, eyes shining dangerously at the thought.

He slid down from his spot in the window, again not hiding it as he looked Lonely Bird up and down and then looked away rather coyly, going over to perch on the bed.

"I mean if you can swim, perhaps a quick bath wouldn't be a bad idea. Your crew might smell you and start asking questions, yknow. If that guy didn't already pick up on it.~" He couldn't help but tease him; Lonely Bird had seemed like such a prude yesterday, his crew would probably pick up on what happened and word would spread like wildfire. Guys liked talking about that kind of thing.

"Am I still not allowed to play with them?" He asked with a pout, thinking of purple guy in particular, tilting his head curiously at the other unicorn as he sat there, hands in his lap, blanket draped artfully around him and sliding off of one of his shoulders, revealing some of the marks the other man had left there from their adventures last night.

Lonely Bird noticed Spike eye up Purple Guy - he couldn't remember his name right now, because his brain was still very focused on Spike's ass. Lonely Bird made sure that for the few seconds the purple crewmate was in here he couldn't see what was clearly his. A glare to the door after he'd left and a long look at Spike. A purse of his lips and he watched the other unicorn move about the room, curious.

He was even more broken now.

A puff of air into his cheeks and he slowly blew out his breath.

What an interesting situation this was.

"I don't want to swim in ocean water," Lonely Bird wrinkled his nose, "Do you know how many fish have sex in that?" He waved his hand dismissively by his face, shaking his head, "I'm not this pretty because I bath in fish-sex-water." Still, his blue eyes followed Spike around the room again, watching him sit. Eye's caught on the marks he'd left behind and he gave a weird noise and moved closer to Spike, taking in a deep breath and letting it out slowly.

"I'm not your master," Lonely Bird said huskily, truthfully. Most people that weren't part of his crew didn't survive being masterless on his ship. He leaned in, teeth scraping along Spike's neck before he pressed a kiss under his ear and pulled away. "Okay, you need to get dressed or we're going to have a repeat of last night. I've napped and I'm full of energy. I imagine you'd like that but..."

It felt odd, to want to have a reason to... Find his horn. Because that meant he'd get to live longer. Lonely Bird looked shocked by the notion and he pressed his hand to his chest after a moment, confused and frustrated by the feelings in there. Eugh. Feelings were pesky things.  "Dressed," He pulled the blanket up, dropping it over Spike's head and sticking his tongue out at him. "Out while I bathe, and then we'll... Head out. We're rested and it'll be quiet so we can... Figure something out."

Spike let out a little laugh at Lonely Bird's response to his comment on taking a bath. It was so surprisingly immature, though perhaps it shouldn't have been as surprising as it was.

"Well, you seemed perfectly content last night to almost bathe yourself in my sweat and cum, I don't really see how that's much different." He said with a soft snort, smirking as the man came closer to him.

Spike raised his eyebrows, catching that underlying tone in Bird's voice as he let his gaze drop from the other unicorn's to slide up and down the man's body as he considered what they were now both thinking, confirmed as Bird brought it up.

"Mmmm, I wouldn't mind that at all.~" He closed his eyes and leaned into the man's touch, letting out a heated breath when he felt teeth on his throat and neck, the touches sending shivers down his spine.

And then the blanket was pulled over his head, which made Spike grin and laugh again as he pushed it off, shaking his head, hair still a little damp. "Don't stick your tongue out at me, I'll make you regret it." He growled playfully, his hands finding the other unicorn's rear as he pulled him close and pressed a few kisses to the man's chest before he nipped at one of his nipples and pulled away with a grin to go get dressed.

"And what'll you do with this ship of yours while we travel on the land, I wonder?" He asked, curious to see if Lonely Bird had really even thought that far ahead.

Bathe himself in...!

Lonely Bird gave Spike a bug eyed look, his mouth opening slightly in... Mild? Horror. Bathe in... The face he pulled was disgust and while he'd enjoyed it at the time and the after effects, Lonely Bird couldn't help but feel posessive and like Spike was his at the sight of his cum leaking down his thigh and... Lonely Bird closed his eyes for a moment.

The noise that left his mouth when Spike bit him was perhaps a little silly, a high pitched gasp because he really hadn't been expecting it and his hands went to the top of Spike's head before he ruffle his hair in revenge. "Biting me," He scoffed gathering his hair over his shoulders before he sighed and tilting Spike's head up to press a kiss to his temple, avoiding the forehead as a natural thing.

"It'll be docked," He said softly, shrugging, "Or they'll run the route without me," He lifted an eyebrow, "Aeire can be acting Captain," He nodded to the closed door, "It'll be fine. They're loyal and they know that if they took my ship I'd be using their bones and skin to make my next one." Lonely Bird grinned widely, looking a little too pleased with himself. Then he gave Spike a swat on the bum and a quick squeeze, "Go get ready for your little promise him? I'm gonna be a real unicorn again. God." He sighed and looked at Spike a little oddly.

"I didn't miss my horn until I bumped into you," He admitted, "I think this is going to be awful," He admitted with a husky laugh.

Ah, so he did have a plan. Well that was just fantastic, then. It meant that at least one of them did.

No, Lonely Bird really didn't strike Spike as the type to jump into things on a whim, though his perception of the man might've been a bit skewed with their drinking the night previous. Spike on the other hand, was the exact opposite. He flew by the seat of his pants and whatever wonders and trouble happened to fall into his lap, he dealt and rolled along with. He was an immortal unicorn, he didn't really have a whole lot else he could do, he figured.

He finished getting dressed, tying the last laces on his boots as Birdy admitted to his feelings about missing being a unicorn, and he looked up at the other man with his eyebrows raised as he straightened up.

"Well, depends. Who do you think it'll be more awful for, you or me?" He figured the correct answer was: both.

Lonely Bird would get his horn back, and... Probably his memories, as well. Perhaps his sense of a conscience. He might just be mortified as he realized all the terrible things he'd done. Meanwhile, Spike might just not have much of an ass left by the time they reached their destination, if Bird was going to keep ramming it like he had last night the whole way there.

Spike was perfectly okay with that.

Once they were both dressed and ready, Spike let Lonely Bird lead the way out, sticking close behind him not because he was afraid, but because he wanted to see if he could play up to that little protective streak the other unicorn had going on. He thought it was cute.

Lonely Bird led the way.

Dressed in the usual low key outfit. White shirt. Brown pants. Boots. Of course, that was the only low key thing about him. Aside from that he was as pristine as ever looking. Like he was unable to get dirty or look tired. He didn't - look tired - though he ached and felt tired. His eyes were tired inside his head, his eyelids were heavy and for a few tempting moments before they left he was seriously considering just grabbing Spike and crawling back into bed for more sleep.

The contact was slowly becoming addicting. To feel any sort of power again was something he'd only thought to dream of and actually feeling it was beyond amazing. Every nerve ending sang when he touched Spike and it was muted still. Lonely Bird moved a hand to gently rub at the seal on his forehead before the uncomfortable feeling set in. It always felt odd to touch there, while not only was it extremely uncomfortable, a sort of spine tickling feeling when he touched it, there was a strange raw nerve sensation.

Lonely Bird quickly removed his hand from his forehead and continued on.

It was tempting to keep himself as close as possible. A strange protectiveness overwhelmed him for the shorter man. Also the source of anything that felt remotely like being any sort of Non-Dying magical creature. An interesting sensation, Lonely Bird decided, because he'd gotten all to used to the sensation of dying in his own husk. A husk that was supposed to last forever.

"So," Lonely Bird started, clearing his throat before he continued, "I can kinda... Figure out where my shit is. I think I already mentioned a general location. Now we just need to find it." He looked to the ocean. A safe haven simply because it was where he wasn't maimed. He'd been destroyed on land, so he took to the sea. Almost poetic. Almost.

Lonely Bird hesitated but he held out a hand to Spike in a quiet plea for contact. Just their skin touching sent zings through his system and it had a calming effect - or at least he pretended it did. An addict could come up with plenty of reasons. "Spike," he started, pushing his platinum hair over his shoulder in it's rolling waves down his back, "Do you like the water?" He said simply, "I can't decide if I like it or if I just hate it less than land."

Spike followed the other unicorn without much of a second thought. He spared one last glance to the ship as they headed out to the land before he turned his full attention to the road ahead.

It was kind of funny, he noted, that Lonely Bird had agreed to this quest on a drunken whim when he'd been drowning in his own misery for who knows how many years prior, and had been perfectly content to do so. For all he knew, Spike was just as dangerous, stringing him along to estrange him from his crew and take advantage of whatever he had left.

He wasn't going to do that. But Bird didn't know that for sure. Perhaps he was just that desperate--or Spike that convincing.

Either way it didn't matter; when the hand was offered to him, he raused his eyebrows slightly before he took it, the tingles making him feel warm and fuzzy inside.

He shrugged at the question. "I suppose; I've always been more fond of snow." He admitted. He liked cold weather; ice, pine trees. "Maybe I can help you remember how to not hate things." He said with a smirk, stepping beside the other unicorn so he could bump their hips together playfully as they walked.

He took in the sight of the other man for a moment, pursing his lips and thinking; he really was beautiful. He could only imagine what he must've looked like when he was all pretty and pure. What he'd look like of they got his horn back. Spike literally couldn't imagine anyone prettier, to be honest.

He said nothing though, just smiling a little to himself as he looked back to the road ahead of them.

"Well, do you know any mages here in Cerenis? They might have an idea about where to start looking for this person." He offered, trying to get himself focused on something other than Lonely Bird's ass.
