Bowline milled about the mountainside, eating some grass here and there. The donkey was moving slower than usual. The pouch on the side of his saddle had something in that was weighing him down. Bowline's nostrils flared as he sniffed a flower, he then let out a loud sneeze. He backed away from the allergen plant and accidentally walked right into a deep muddy patch, he sank until the mud was up past his stomach, he let out a large breath through his nose.

It was a beautiful day. Things were going well enough, and it wasn't raining that was always a plus. Alerri couldn't understand why humans travelled through the rain. It just didn't make any sense to her. She was pondering this when she came across an animal. It looked like it was stuck in the mud. She knew her clothing would get dirty if she wasn't careful. She almost left it there for someone else to help, but knew that wouldn't be the right thing to do. Humans helped each other and animals in times of need. She knew she should strive to do the same.

Ambling up to the donkey she looked over the situation. She was trying to figure out how to get it out without getting completely muddy and stuck herself. She wondered if a vine would work. There were plenty and she went for some without a word. She was back fast and tied one end into a large noose like opening. She wasn't sure she could lasso the donkey.

"Hold on there, I'll get you out," she said and tossed the lasso missing. She wasn't sure if she would get it around the animal this way. Magic seemed an easy idea, but it wouldn't look good if she had magic. That would lead to questions, and she wasn't good at lying.

Bowline sighed, this motion caused him to sink another four inches. He was seriously worried now he looked up at the person who was trying to assist him. "Help." He said with his deep glistening eyes.

"Don't move an inch or you will keep going down. This looks like a nasty one," she said hoping the donkey would take her advice. She hadn't expected the animal to talk. A little dazed she just cast the lasso again not concentrating much. This time it went around him. She was glad of that. Using a long stick she placed it more around his shoulders than his neck not wanting to strangle him.

"Okay I'm going to pull you out now," she said knowing her own strength. She started to pull lightly as if she was human. It wasn't working though. She sighed and started using her extra reserve of strength. This wasn't easy, but she managed to budge him. In a few more pulls she had him back on solid land.

"Man sakes alive, next time watch where you step," she said glad that was over with.

OOC: Sorry if my last post was confusing, he didn't actually talk, he said it with body language.

Bowline gave his savior a small nod of thanks. He then knelt down, offering the heavy item in his saddle bag as thanks for his life. Bowline was feeling especially grateful, for this was the first person who actually seemed to care about him. Most people just disregarded him and moved on because he was a donkey. But this person helped him, so he would not let her leave without accepting his gift.

She watched the donkey and wasn't sure she should accept what he was offering her. She had helped him because she couldn't bear to see another suffer. She sighed wondering what to do now. She didn't need whatever he was offering.

"Thanks, but I don't really have anything to put that in," she said not sure what it was. Plus it had been in his mouth.

OOC: No worries.

Snorri Fenrikson

Arrk Fenrikson watched the scene with bemused interest. It was good that that there was were still decent folk abroad up here.

The dwarf looked on from the hilltop as the he looked from the meeting and set his eyes upon the mountains, there grey and white peaks a testament to the age of the land and the indomitable spirit of nature.

Arrk slowly slid dwn the wet hillside towards the donkey and the human. He pulled off his hood and walked down the last few metres between them.

"It seems he likes you." Arrk said to the human.
