Today was an interesting, traded a vial of love essence for a silver coin (enough to keep Ivern happy for another week) and a leather-bound book. Look, I know I could have gotten more but the gentleman was just so excited to finally get his true love and I cannot turn that down! So, I guess I will try keep a diary? Might help me remember what happens when I mix reagents together, maybe where they are found even some juicy gossip- that is the perks of living at Seripos Inn.

Seripos Inn, on the outskirts of Seren tends to be a way point for travelers especially those venturing south from the Videns. Ivern runs the inn by himself, being 45 and alone isn't ideal, I tried to offer him potions, but he says that hocus pocus isn't for him and his real love will come. So, I help him in other ways, tending the bar- he says I have a youthful, unbridled charm that keeps the beer following and customers pockets emptied.

I owe a lot to Ivern, he took me in on my darkest hour. With no coin, he put me to work, when I can pay, I'm free to go off and venture on my own. As much as I adore Ivern, being trapped within the inn walls gets old quickly- especially when all I hear about is adventures from all the travelers who come through. I just want an adventure, to slay a dragon or an ogre, collect a bounty or rescue the princess! For now, Im just waiting for my next move. Maybe I should make a move to further myself in some way?

Oh, that reminds me! The perks of Seripos inn, gossip! Some guy was blabbing on the other day apparently theres a garden in Algeri. He says its filled to the brim with flowers; fireblooms, dayglow and everset roses. All the rarities I've been seeking to experiment with! The only problem, its so heavily guarded you cant even touch a leaf without being escorted away- he kept complaining about how this was all the work of Amitai Feigenbaum saying how he'd corrupted the High Lady to hide the magic of this garden away. I'd love to have a look either way, just being close to half these illustrious flowers is just so exciting! I can only think of the power they hold; I just cannot wait to learn more! I just need to plan my journey west and then the fun can begin.

Elaria's Paste of Minor Healing
•   Bindroot
•   Flower of Daisy
•   Atlas Toadstool
•   Honey

Bindroot a root commonly found in Atlas Verde. Foraged from the base of bindett trees, these act as a powerful binding agent hence the name. Used mostly in medicinal potions due to its stabilizing properties.

Flower of Daisy a common flower found in warm, humid environments. Blooming during summer and spring it is associated with peace and harmony. When used in potions it has a calming, curative affect.

Atlas Toadstool native to the Atlas Verde region due to the forest environment crossed with the altitude of the region. It is strong, hearty and known for its regenerative properties.

Honey produced by bees. Harvested honey has anti-inflammatory properties, a sweet taste and is highly sticky which is good for binding ingredients together into a paste or liquid form.

Ingredients are crushed together until a thick, brown paste is formed. Stored in a small jar, this paste does not go off as the honey acts as a preservative.

This paste should be used on minor cuts and irritations for immediate relief from discomfort, the area should heal over the next few hours. Very potent on humans, elf and fae species due to the relative thinness of their skin increasing the rate of absorption.

Currently, I am watching the sunset over the treetops. There's always something magical about seeing the light disappear into the darkness. Its somewhat peaceful yet disturbing. The unknown of tonight, the unknown of tomorrow but you know it will rise again and that's all the hope you need to keep going. I find it somewhat comforting knowing that in a world so uncertain there is one thing that is known.

I find my thoughts wandering more the more I become content with my life here, all the what ifs and what next. The struggle to find my way in who I am and what I truly want. Yet, I feel so ungrateful. I have a roof over my head, food in my belly and clothes on my back. That should be enough to satisfy my needs so why do I crave more? Something new and different?

As much as I adore Ivern, I grow weary of the same tales and somewhat fear that may end up being all my life is. Alone, tending drunkards as my only social interaction. The more I hear of Alegri the more my interest is peaked. Maybe there they can help me fully utilize my elemental power and in exchange I can offer them the wisdoms I've learned of the land. Perhaps High Lady Feyal will see promise within my work.

Call me a dreamer because that's what I am. I just know there is more I can offer this land, I just want to be more than I am. I think its time to be more than I am.

Today marks my last day in Seren and first day of adventure! Tomorrow, I venture west Alegri where I hope in exchange for work I can find a room and board. I trust the people of Alegri will be kind and accepting, especially since I have such an unusual skillset to offer.

So tonight, we feasted and celebrated my time spent in Seren. Plenty of ale, tales and laughs to be had. Ivern even prepare a stew with freshly caught rabbit, atlas toadstools and all the hearty foods he could find. We all indulged ourselves until our bellies ached from both food and laughter.

As I laid my head down, there was a knock on my door. Ivern delivered a bowl of stew and with a sniffling nose he thanked me. I couldn't believe it the hardened, stone cold man I had come to know had melted a bit. We embraced. This may be the finally farewell to the man I was most grateful for in life. He began my new life, gave me a chance even in my youth, the chance to live.

Although in life we may move on, we never forget those who touched our lives in anyway. For that I just want to say thank you Ivern, for you kindness, your hospitality and I do hope I see you again someday.
