Gar skipped along in the mountains, bored out of his mind. He scanned the mountainside, noticing a small hole in the wall of the cliff. Moving closer to investigate, he slipped on a patch of mud! Catching himself before his clothes got soiled. Growling as he stood up, he gasped, looking at the entrance of the cave.
Pin moans as he lifts the rock. He sees his visitor and says, "What are you doing here!" He puts the rock down behind him as he pulls out his waraxe.
He yelped, and stumbled again. This time, he did fall in the mud. As he scrambled up, he managed to pull out Flamereaver, his gigantic freakin' sword. As he readied himself, he shouted at Pin. "You sure you want to do this?"
"Why are you here!?" He demanded as he walked towards the muddy elf
.
He glared at the well-built, grumpy dwarf. "How should I know? I was trying to find my way back from a tavern!" He sighed. "We going to fight?" He readied his stance.
"Oh." The slightly angered dwarf said embaressed, "Where are you headed?"
He sighed and lowered his blade. "How should I know? I was heading out of Serendipity to another place. I'm flat broke." A small head poked her head suspiciously out of one of his pouches, then quickly hid back inside. Gar turned to the side slightly, blocking Pin's view of his pouches.
"Ok well I have tunnels leading to all the closest cities in my cave if you want to take one." He gestured trying to be kind for a change.
"It's okay, I figure walking will do me good." He said, motioning to the hilly grassland.
"Okay who is your friend there in the pouch?" Pin asked.
A muffled gasp came from his pouch. Gar shifted nervously. "Ah, what was that you said? I'm afraid I didn't catch that."
"I SAID WHO IS THAT IN YOUR POUCH." He demanded as his temper started to rise. "I don't typically mumble!"
He shifted once more. "No one's in there, are you drunk? I think I can smell dwarf spirits... Besides, who could fit in there in the first place?" He chuckled.
"I CAN TELL YOU ARE LYING AND I AM ALWAYS... -BURP- ... DRUNK," He Roared!
He sighed. "You want to know?" He slowly reached inside his pouch, and lifted out La'Tsella.
"AHH WHAT IS THAT!!" HE YELLS.
La'Tsella stumbled as the drunken dwarf yelled. Gar quickly caught her so she wouldn't fall. "Talk quieter! Besides, do you want people to hear you and find your cave?" He sighed. La'Tsella spoke with her small voice. "H-hello!"
"Even if people do find my cave," He hiccups, "They won't ever get in I'm pretty sure only a dwarf could lift that rock!" The intoxicated brute yells!
Gar sternly looked at him. "You should stop drinking. All it gives you is water weight."
"Why are you talking you are drunk too," He yells, "and you little person what is your name!"
Gar pushed off the conversation. La'Tsella looked at Pin, and told him her name. "La'Tsella."
"Hello LA'TSELLA HOW ARE YOU, YOUR FRIEND HERE THAT IS CARRYING YOU IS DRUNK," He told La'Tsella.
La'Tsella looked at Pin strangely, then to Gar. "Ah... no, I don't believe he is..." She looked at Pin again. "I'm not sure if you can get drunk on mead..."
"I CAN GET DRUNK ON WATER SO YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET DRUNK ON MEAD," HE INFORMED, "OK IT HAD A LITTLE OF DWARVERN SPIRITS IN BUT WHATEVER!"
Gar shrugged. "Whatever. Keep drinking, see if I care." He turned his back, and started to walk away. La'Tsella slid into her pouch.
"I WAS TALKING TO YOUR FRIEND, GET BACK HERE," He demands as he races towards his new opponent and swings his great axe that he got from his dad. It was an antique that has been in his family since his great great great great grandmother Hilda. It was enchanted by a necromantic friend of his family so when it kills anyone then that person will come back as a skeleton teammate. Thats at least what the story says, Pin had never seen it happen.
Gar ducked with great speed, then whipped out his curved knife, suitably named Agony. He jumped back, before dashing forward and slashing at the dwarf.
"Ahh," the dwarf screamed as the blade cut his arm. He retaliated by pulling a throwing axe and throwing it. When it missed terribly he swung his axe at the elf.
Gar sidestepped, sheathing his knife, and whipped out his greatsword, parrying the blow.
Verian was just walking along the forest when he heard a scream. He ran towards the noise to see what was happening. When he got there it was a dwarf fighting an elf the dwarf started to swing his axe and that is when he realized that the dwarf was of the Saasin family. The Saasin family was a old friend of his family. His grandfather enchanted the Saasin great axe to make spawn the dead of Saasin's enemys."I must help the dwarf!" He accedentally said out loud, then he covered his mouth and muttered, "oops."
Gar glanced at the necromancer, then re-focused on the dwarf. "You don't want to do this..." He said, directed at both the dwarf and the necromancer.
"Who are you and why are you trying to help me," The counfused dwarf yelled. "I am Verian Ferroro you can call me Icy and you are of the Saasin family," Verian replied kindly bowing. "You... You are a Ferroro, a necromancer, well help me!" The dwarf responded in amazment. Icy pulled his staff and raised a skeleton, the skeleton charges at Gar. While Pin chopped at the opponent's arm.
Gar grunted, and dodged Pin's swing, and quickly stabbed his sword through the skeleton's skull, crushing it in the process. He sprinted towards the necromancer, jumped, and swung his boot towards the necromancer's gut.
Verian reacted and pulled a skull from the ground at enormous speeds and hit Gar's foot. Then he resurected the skeleton which pulled a bow and shot a bow towards the elves.
Gar winced as the skull hit him, and quickly flung a few throwing knives towards the skeleton, and the necromancer.
"Ok, Ok lets stop for a second," Verian said stopping, "Why are you two even fighting I would like to know before I continue trying to kill you."
Gar motioned to Pin. "Your friend here went into a drunken rage."
"No you carried off your friend while I was trying to talk to her!" Corrected the drunken dwarf.
La'Tsella poked her head out of the pouch. "Actually... I slipped into the pouch of my own accord." She shook her head slowly. "You shouldn't drink so much. It's bad for you." She slid back into the pouch. Gar nodded. "She speaks the truth."
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Pin screamed as he charged towards the elf.
"Ahh!" Verian was startled by the sudden screaming.
Gar frowned, but then rushed forward, and slammed his knee into the dwarf's face, knocking him out. As Gar fell back down he grimaced. "I've always heard that dwarves have faces of iron, but never believed it to be true." Looking at Icy, he frowned. "You serve this drunkard?"
"Serve him, not exactly. Although our families are very good friends. Back when my great great grandfather was in trouble with the snow leopards of the north his ancestral drunk saved my grandfather," Verian explained. "After that my grandfather Kalion enchanted the Saasin family axe to repay him. That axe will bring back any that die by it to help fight the owner. This axe is a symbol of our families' friendship and alliance."
La'Tsella poked her head out of the pouch. "I wondered what that aura I noticed was." She looked at the axe and pondered. "Strange magic, necromancy is." She looked at Gar. "Did you see it glowing?" Gar shook his head.
"Hey when he wakes up i think i could convince him to just work this out and not go all drunken rage. I think that you could be a very good ally to me and him. You seem like a very powerful fighter and i would like to see to it that you don't get kill Pin and he doesn't kill you," Verian went on. "My name is Verian but you can call me Icy."
Gar nodded. "That's a good idea. Why don't we bring him inside his house, and make something that won't get him drunk?" Gar fumbled in his pocket and came up with a packet of tea. La'Tsella poked her head out. "Hey! That's mine!" Gar grinned. "It's for a good cause." They both laughed.
"That's a good idea, but how are we supposed to get in to his house?" Verian replied, "I mean that boulder is probably over one hundred fifty pounds how are we supposed to lift it."
