It had since occurred to me that it is perhaps on every board as an advertisement. Whoops. ;D
Also, just a thought now that I actually understand what's going on... Not suggesting that anything should be changed now, but I noticed that all the open provinces were claimed within a few hours of the original posting. Might it make more sense (in the future) to do some sort of lottery? Where people have 24-48 hours to express interest in a province, then the "winner" is randomly selected from whoever enters the "pool"? Maybe with some notice that it's going to happen soon or something.
Just an idea!
(Then also! How much easier would it be to build up a "high family" from the people who expressed interest in a duchy? If they were so inclined).

Also that is a good idea. Better than the way I did it this time. D8 I honestly hadn't expected the high demand! Last time it took a few days to get rid of them, holy cow. So next time, when it comes to Connlaoth and eventually Adela, and any future Serenian provinces, that'll be how it's done.
One more Serenian province may be opening up in the next week, so that is something to keep in mind!

I'm not really looking for a province, I just noticed how quickly they went and thought maybe there'd be people who weren't online then who'd be interested. However! You're clearly a sweetie! XD
I would like to take a crack at running Fallial. I don't have a character for it at the moment, but it would be kind of silly to make one considering it's not a guarantee that I'll get it. :P
I do not mind having a province for my moonelves ^^' despite i put them in a forest near Adela it actually never occured to me to ask permission.. (oops...)

Well, to be fair to all members, I think when I get the list of open duchies that are available for Connlaoth, I'll discuss doing like a political type thing to have a member be able to claim one~ maybe where members can vote or something? Though ruling a duchy is politically complicated compared to the Provinces here :T Civil war going on and all.
I shall have to check with Rhi on this one on her return from THE LAND OF DISNEY

I wouldn't be worried about committing illegal activity unless Rhi was making money from this. Which they aren't.
I think you're jumping the gun, Looshi. No one is going to get into trouble with the law because they want a chance to win an imaginary plot of land for writey-happy-fun-times.

I removed the word "lottery" and changed the wording so it's just a random selection thing, which is all it is anyway. xD Does that help?

I sell lotto, so I looked it up. Online gambling is illegal from non-government official things - this is probably true for the States as well.
But a draw for a make believe location that you don't even get to keep if you leave is hardly gambling.

I'm not sure if 'rummage' sales are a Pittsburgh thing or not, lol but they're more or less an organized garage sale, but generally hosted in one location, like a school, fire hall or church- normally churches.
But yeah, this is a poor example for me to bring up having this as a rummage sale, cause that would indicate one would have to 'rummage' through something in order to purchase something, and not one of those is even happening here XD
but still..
The word 'rummage sale' is still fun to say 8D
