"I've haven't really been on any boats very often," he told her. "I never really thought about counting waves. It's probably very difficult to do when the seas are calm."
"Not other boats, this one." Esmeralda clarified, patting his chest. "Well I have. So far it's been over two hundred times." The enchantress stated, sitting up and rolling her neck. "We haven't bathed in a while."
"Well, we are surrounded by water," Grazen told her. "So that problem could be easily solved. It's probably cold though."
Esmeralda thought it over. "We'll be okay." She shrugged her shoulders and laid back down on her stomach, staring at her pillows thinking things over. "Plus I could always conjure up a tub or something."
"Oh yeah," Grazen said. "I keep forgetting that you can do stuff like that."
"Yep. I should really not focus on that though. Conjuring his fun, but it takes away from concentrating on my enchanting abilities." Esmeralda explained, stretching her body.
"You can enchant stuff too?"
"Yeah, but not as good." She sighed, disappointed in herself. "Like if I were to stop working on conjuring and focus on that. I could also bewitch others and objects." Esmeralda stated.
"Really," Grazen said. "Like how?"
"By controlling their emotions." She said simply, turning on her side to look at him.
"Controlling their emotions," Grazen repeated. "So you can enchant something to make someone feel happy whenever they touch it, or something like that?"
"Hmm...or enchant the person directly." Esmeralda moved over and rested her head on his chest.
"Enchanting a person directly," Grazen asked. "You mean like that heart thing you did to me?"
Esmeralda shrugged her shoulders. "In a way, but less personal." She smiled some, thinking of what she could do.
"Is there anything else I should know about," Grazen asked. "Like is there anything else that you can do?"
Esmeralda thought for a moment. "Currently no." She answered before kissing his lips.
Grazen put his arm around her.
"Well, just don't try anything funny on me without my permission," he told her. "I know you like to be sneaky like that."
Esmeralda grinned impishly. "What where's the fun in that?" She asked teasingly. "Plus I'll have to rid myself of conjuring."
"Why is that?"
"So I can focus all of my magic on enchanting." She answered with a grin.
"Why can't you do both?"
She shrugged her shoulders and moved her hand to his crotch to rest it there. "I don't know. I rather be powerful at one thing than weak in different areas.
Grazen squirmed a little when Esmeralda's hand found his crotch, but he was still too worn out to do anything like that again for awhile.
"There are advantages to being a jack of all trades," he told her.
"That's true." Esmeralda stated with a smile. "I'd rather have a certain concentration." She sat up and went to get her spell book. She came back with it and flipped to through it. "I can concentrate the power."
"That's an awfully big book," Grazen commented.
"There's spells in here that could make your head explode dear." Esmeralda winked at him before slipping the Enchanter/Enchantress section. "Spells to bend men to my will, spells curse..."
"I would very much not like to explode," Grazen commented. "Are there any spells in there that are not men related?"
"Of course!" She giggled and flipped to a spell. "This is a locator spell. All is required is an item of the person that you are looking for." Esmeralda turned another one. "This one is a project spell."
"Project what exactly?"
"I meant protection spell. Sorry." She shook her head and looked away. "Sorry."
"Oh, protection," Grazen said. "Protection against what?"
Esmeralda shrugged. "Anything really." She answered, looking over at him. "Monsters, magic...getting pregnant."
"You can just magically keep yourself from getting pregnant," Grazen asked.
"Yes, but it could have affects that wouldn't be so good. Especially if you want a family, Grazen." Esmeralda smiled and looked over at his boyfriend.
"Like what kind of effects," he asked.
"Like not being fertile." She stated simply with a sharp sigh.
"Oh," Grazen replied. "That would prove to be quite a problem."
"I agree love." She got up and walked toward the front of the ship. She summoned a green fireball to light the way.
"So we get to Adela," Grazen began. "What do we do then?"
She shrugged her shoulders. "Hopefully establish some type of life together." Esmeralda answered, looking over her shoulder at him.
"Easier said than done, my dear," he told her. "I'll need to find a job as soon as we get there."
"I know, Grazen." She sighed, trying to think. "You could have a bounty hunter job?" Esmeralda offered.
"I already have that," Grazen told her. "I need to find a bounty though."
Esmeralda thought. "I know a few witches who might want your help." She answered, turning to look at him. "But I'm sure you'll find some interesting job of some sort."
"It doesn't have to be interesting," Grazen said. "It just has to pay well."
"I just don't want you to be bored." She stated with a shrug of her shoulders.
"What's a little boredom when there's a big payout," Grazen said. "We have to support ourselves somehow."
Esmeralda sighed "I guess you're right. I just don't want you to be bored with your life...bored with me." She mumbled, looking down into the water. "That's the last thing I want to do."
"I could never be bored with you," Grazen assured her. "Just think of all the excitement we've already had."
"That is true, dear." She grinned impishly before turning around and kissing his lips. "We could always spice it up if we wanted to."
"We could spice it up even further," Grazen asked.
"Oh yeah." Esmeralda smirked. "You have no idea." She giggled and kissed his neck.
"Perhaps you could give me an idea," Grazen suggested.
Esmeralda thought for a moment. "Like maybe...backwards horse rider." She blush a bit, looking down at the boat's wooden floors.
Grazen raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"It's hard to explain." She giggled, moving back over to him.
Grazen smirked.
"Could you try?"
Esmeralda blushed a bit. "Well, remember when we first had intercourse and I was on top of you? Well it's like that, but I'm not facing you." The enchantress giggled, biting her lip.
Upon hearing her explanation Grazen blushed a little as well.
"I see," he replied. "But if we're like that I won't be able to see you. I'll only see your back."
"You'll be able to see my rear." She purred, licking his ear teasingly.
"That's true," he agreed. "Perhaps I shouldn't be so quick to judge without actually trying it."
Esmeralda chuckled. "Exactly, exactly." She rested her head on his shoulder, looking up at the night sky.
Grazen held her close and rested his head on top of hers. Never in his life did he ever think he would get to experience a moment like this.
"It'll be so strange to settle down," he said. "I'm so used to traveling."
She rolled over on top of him, sitting up. "Yeah I know what you mean. At least it would worth it right?" She giggled a bit, looking down at her boyfriend.
"As long as I'm with you," he replied with a smile.
Esmeralda smiled widely. "Awww. I love you." She leaned down to give him a quick kiss before sitting back up.
"I love you too," he told her. "But I won't lie. It'll be a little difficult for me."
"Then we will work together." Esmeralda stated, biting the corner of her lip before getting up on top of him.
"I can help you fix your magic shop if you want," Grazen offered.
"Really? I would really like that, Grazen." She smiled and kissed his cheek before getting up and magically changing her clothes to a simple black dress and black laced sandals. "Shall we sleep?"
"I suppose we should," Grazen replied. "Don't want to be tired if we're being hunted."
Esmeralda agreed and slipped went back onto the blanketed floor of the ship and laid down, resting her head on one of the pillows. "I love you, Garzen. I love you immensely."
"I love you too," he replied. "And I promise I won't let anyone hurt you."
Esmeralda smiled at Grazen before placing a light kiss on his cheek. "Have good dreams." She whispered before closing her eyes and snuggling up against him.
Grazen wrapped his arms around Esmeralda and held close. He wasn't so sure exactly how good his dreams would be. The demon usually insured that any dreams he had would be nightmares, but sleep was still necessary all the same.
Morning came and so did a chilly wind. Esmeralda never liked the cold very much since that would mean for her to put on more layers of clothing. The enchantress rolled over in Grazen's arms so that she was on her stomach with her head buried in the pillow. Gods she didn't want to get up.
Grazen stirred. He didn't want to move. The cool air didn't bother him as much as he was used to sleeping outside in less than comfortable conditions. He figured that Esmeralda might be chilly though, so he pulled her tighter against himself to share more of his body heat with her.
About thirty minutes later, Esmeralda knew that she would have to woken from her slumber. The warmth of the sun along with the warmth of her lover, she was finally ready to wake up. However, this didn't mean that she would actually get up. "Grazen, dear?" The witch called in a whispered, slowly moving his hand to caress his cheek.
Grazen had actually fallen back to sleep, but was awakened by Esmeralda's voice.
"What," he replied groggily.
