"I am..." He found it difficult to speak, for he was unmasked, and he found himself unable to summon any sort of defence. He deserved no defence, for he had committed atrocities to gain power. He wouldn't give up that pursuit, but he would not seek it here. He would not harm her. She was defenceless. Perhaps he needed to be a bit more human, instead of being as evil as his summoned servants. He released the orb and walked away from the wall, withdrawing his hand. Do I tell her the whole story, how I too have lost my parents? Yes, that will found some trust I hope, his mind spoke to him for once.
"I will start at the beginning. I am from overseas, technically, from Thanatos. I am no scholar though. You see, when I was conceived by my mother and a foreigner, he was killed by men in Suna who thought that foreigners who conceived children with locals were evil. I grew up knowing only my mother and older sister, being the illegitimate child, I was abused by my sister. My mother's husband was soon killed through murder. I grew up with the protection of my mother, loved as much as my sister. I eventually came across a basic magic book, it taught me basic magic, mostly offensive powers, fireball, lightning bolt, freeze. I practiced these on my own, slowly mastering them. Then one day my mother disappeared, and I went looking for her in the forest." He paused, considering how to phrase what he said. "I found her. A dark sorcerer had used her as a sacrifice to some demon. I saw her body naked, bloodied, with a slit in her throat. The sorcerer fled upon seeing me, but he left behind that book." He pointed to the book he had left on the table. "I was left in the care of my sister, who abused me abhorrently, beating me, burning me, anything she could do to hurt me was done. And one day I snapped. I fought back, and decided to practice summoning a demon. The demon didn't take, and I was forced to kill her. I took every joy in it. I was chased out, but I escaped without being branded as untouchable or killed. I make a living as a necromancer for hire. I summon that which people need that they refuse to summon themselves. I was here to find any dark secrets that book contain. Bear in mind I have changed my mind." If her response was accepting or even slightly hostile it was good enough for him. He did not need immortality bu he wanted it. It could wait.
