Aghi hated guard duty. It rarely amounted to anything more than sitting and staring at a wall. He stood and stretched. Bah. Why didn't Ryum ever have to do guard duty? Never mind the guy was probably three times his age and usually buried in paperwork besides, it just didn't seem fair.
He spat. That was life, though, eh? Sometimes ya needed to do the crap jobs before you could actually do the fun ones. He sat back down on the box he'd acquired for a seat and kept his eye on the entrance of the warehouse. He hadn't seen the reason to keep watch from within the building; he should be hidden enough were he was and it was easier to catch people off guard when you came up from behind instead of in front of them.
Not that it mattered, really. Aghi sometimes wondered why guards were ever even needed, though it was mostly when he was stuck with the job. Few people even came to this part of the warehouse district and that was usually because they had taken a wrong turn somewhere. Pah. He took a quick glance up at the sun. It wouldn't matter much longer, in just one short hour he could stop sitting around doing nothing and get to something interesting.
He just had to think up what that interesting something would be.
