Lilith sat her huge horse in the center of a street. She hated this place. She kept winding herself around in circles looking for an Inn to play in or at worst, a street corner she could occupy for an hour or two while she performed. Finding none that weren't already covered with someone or...something, she grew frustrated. The hustle and flow around her didn't help either. Her brown curls were sticking to her body under the immense heat, despite having been tied up in a bun earlier when she started off and the fact that she was "scantily clad" didn't seem to help matters either when it came to trying to keep cool in this immense heat. Stupid sun, why'd it have to be so damn hot?

Yes. Lilith wasn't wearing much, sitting on a horse in the middle of, well, no where at the moment. She wore a white, shoulder less gown that required she wear a corset [pale brown] over top of it in order to keep it from slipping off her body. Her skirt had been tailored with slits up both sides for riding and delicate shoes that had bells on them had been slipped on a while ago when she got off and took to walking. Her flute was strapped to her hip, one hand atop it even as she rode to keep it from getting stolen. "Isn't there an Inn ANYWHERE in this blasted place!?" She shouted, sulking as her horse and she just stood there in the middle of the road, people pushing past them.

Zyfer sat utop his horse. He had brunnette hair that normally stuck up but was rather droopy in the heat. His clothing was not something that people would find strange. He was wearing a normal white, longsleeve shirt and black pants. The horse was something intimidating, though. The stallion was large and restless, especially in the heat and it could make many people nervous just at the sight of it.

He could feel the buckskin's weight shift beneath him as a he heard a frustrated yell from the road he was travelling on. His eyes darted to where the noise came from. Zyfer tugged the reins toward the woman and the horse turned with them. They swurved through the crowd and stopped next to Lilith.

"Yes, actually." He said chuckling. His arm reached out and his finger pointed down the road.

Zyfer turned his horse to where he was pointing. "I'll bring you to it." He offered and began walking his horse down the road again. Stopping, he turned to Lilith again and waited for her.

Lilith could feel her mare's body tense and watched with a slight smile as the males approached. The female equine beneath her lowered her head, throwing her ears back and pawing at the earth with her front left hoof, an obvious sign that she wasn't exactly the most friendly of horses. As the mare made to bite the stallion Lilith jerked the reins to the right with one hand, forcing the horses head back and keeping her from doing as she wished.

Lifting an eyebrow, surprised to find that there actually was one she gave him a pert nod and a slight smile. "Thank you, sir." She said, eyes moving in the direction of which she spoke as she followed just behind the man, keeping a tight rein on her horse so as to refrain her from causing bodily harm to the other's mount.

The stallion snorted as they followed. Zyfer kicked his sides and they walked to the inn. It was about a quater of a mile away and they were there in about ten minutes. It was a medium sized in but still pretty crowded. The man stopped in front of the inn and wrapped the reins around a post. The horse stamped a back hoof and snorted as he stared at the female.

"This is it." Zyfer patted his stallion's tannish-colored shoulder and waited for Lilith. The horse's large head nudged the man's shoulder as if asking him not to leave him with the mare.

"You probobly should keep her away from Jakt," he said, patting the horse's shoulder again to show who he was talking about.

She nodded once more as she swung a pale and well formed leg over her horse's back, slipping down and landing with a little puff of smoke as the reaction. "I had planned upon it," Lilith said, slipping on her tiny white slipper style shoes she snatched the mare's reins in one hand and lead her to a hitching post on the other side of the Inn, making certain that the knot couldn't be undone by her horse if she grew annoyed enough with the male to feel the need to cause bodily harm to his mount.

Unstrapping her flute from her waist she removed it from it's long velvet pouch and held it gently in one hand. "Thank you. I appreciate your kind gesture." Stepping over to him she adjusted the shoulder and neckline of her dress before extending her free hand to him. "I believe I owe a favor mister,...?" Lilith quirked an eyebrow. She had forgotten to introduce herself and so had this man. Oh well, they would be parting soon, it mattered little to her.

Zyfer nodded and also tugged the reins to check that they were tight. They were secure and her watched her switch her shoes. Jakt eyed the mare cautiously. "Welcome," Zyfer said nodding and rolled his hazel eyes at his antics. "Well, I'll be seeing ya." He said and stepped into the crowded inn.

He walked to the inn's counter and stepped into the line. After about ten minutes, he had a room but stayed in the lounge and sat on an empty couch.

Following him into the Inn, she hadn't expected him to be staying there but again, it mattered little to her what the man did from that point on. Waiting patiently for the owner to be available for a moment longer she spoke in quiet tones of board and her playing there. With a solemn nod of his approval they came to terms on an agreement that would suit them both just fine.

With a helping hand up onto a large round table Lilith surveyed the crowd as they ignored her before lifting the silver flute to her lips and closing her eyes. Starting off by playing the scales she lowered it as the resident bard for another Inn was enlisted to play while she sang. Her voice was lifted and the lyrics to "Marelle" a song from the famous Cirque Du Soleil show, Quidam. It was a short ballad but it the other bard made it flow fluidly into "Seisouso" which was another song from the same Cirque Du Soleil show. Where there were musical breaks Lilith danced gracefully and almost hypnotically on her toes, providing entertainment for the crowd.

Zyfer gazed up as she got onto the table.  He watched in inteest as she began to play. When she was finished her first song, he stood and went outside. Jakt had been nipping at a horse that was standing next to him's neck. Zyfer rushed towards him and tugged at the reins. The horse's head was jerked towards him as the gelding next to him nipped him again. Zyfer untied the reins and pulled Jakt away from the other male. He mounted the stallion and trotted through the crowd to a bar that was about 5 minutes away on horseback.

When he came back, the gelding was gone and he tied the horse back up. Jakt eyed the mare while Zyfer made sure the reins were tight. When he went back in, he wasn't surprised that Lilith was still playing as he had only been gone about 15 minutes.

Lilith struck a flamboyant yet rather artistic pose as the door swung open and the man who had escorted her here entered once more. She hadn't noticed him leave but then again, she had been a little preoccupied with singing, dancing and keeping the few men that had gathered around her table from getting too rowdy and frisky. A hat had been placed on a chair between the playing bard and Lilith's table and as she was helped down by the Inn Keeper the two performers split the profits they had made before they thanked each other and the man bowed out.

Moving over to the bar she spoke once more in private with the Inn Keeper, this time discussing her evening meal and he handed her a tiny gold key which was suspended on a little gold chain. Slipping it around her neck like a piece of jewelry she moved over to where the man sat once more. "Enjoy the show?" Lilith asked, sitting on the arm of his chair.

Zyfer watched her be helped down and go to the counter. When she walked towards him and sat down he crossed his legs at the ankles and folded his hands behind his head. "Yea," he replied, though he didn't sound very interested. Zyfer never cared for music really and found it for a waste of time.

There were a few minutes of silence except for the crowd talking. Zyfer wiped his arm across his forehead and spoke again. "So, how long have you been playing?" He again didn't sound very interested but she was a musician.

Zyfer listened outside just incase one of the horses did accidently get loose. He figured they didn't get along and wouldn't get along because they were both very dominant. It was quiet outside except for neighing every now and then. Zyfer was eased as they were not fighting. It wasn't that he was soft or anything but Jakt was Zyfer's sidekick.

"All my life," Lilith said, eyes glazing over ever so slightly as memories washed over her. That little thing didn't last long though and she turned her head in his direction, giving him a cheery smile. "But such is the fate of a socialites daughter."

Listening as well for any signs of a fight between the two mounts Lilith offered her hand to the man, still smiling. "Lilith Peterson, my apologies for not introducing myself earlier." She bowed her head to him out of sheer politeness and adjusted the little case on her hip that held her silver flute, now hidden from the world's eyes.

Zyfer couldn't imagine playing music for all his life. He didn't exactly live career-wise. All he really ever did was travel. That was his dream, to travel all over the world and visit the different kingdoms. Zyfer nodded and there was silence once more. There was until she gave him her hand and introduced herself. "Zyfer Tyrince." He said shaking her hand. His eyes turned to her adjusting her case that held her flute. "You are very good at playing."

Zyfer remembered a long time ago when he lived in an inn as a child. His parents owned it and would invite artists and musicians over to play or paint the stayers portraits. He would sit on the steps and listen to the musicians playing. There was a flutist that would always come. He enjoyed listening to her but one day she left and didn't come back.

Lilith offered him a half smile and nodded. "Thank you. It's nice to meet you." Okay, so they'd met a little while ago but still, she was only just now learning this man's name. Just then the bar keep appeared at her side and handed her a goblet full of something thick and red. Arching an eyebrow she cast him a look full of menace. "Excuse me for a moment, Mr. Tyrince." She said, slipping off the arm of his chair and heading for the stairs with her drink, the Bar keep scuttling back into the kitchen.

Lilith returned a few moments later with the goblet empty and with her running a finger along the corners of her mouth as if wiping away something. "Sorry about that," She said as she flopped down into a chair across from him. "I had to Feed."

Zyfer nodded in agreement. As the bar keep appeared and she excused herself, he nodded but then corrected her, saying, "Zyfer." It didn't really matter but they might as well call each other by their first name. He watched as she went up the stairs and turned to watch the people in the crowds as she dissapeared.

When she returned, he nodded to her, "welcome back." Zyfer watched as she wiped her mouth with her finger. He looked at the empty goblet. "What was in that?" He asked curiously, trying to look inside to see something. He had seen the drink before and to him it looked somewhat like blood. He hoped that it wasn't.

Shrugging as he made it clear she could call him by his first name she flashed him a small, almost apologetic smile. "Blood of course." Despite the fact that she didn't appear to sure of herself when it came to discussing her eating habits her tone was rather calm and steady. Why should she side-step the issue? It wouldn't be long before people realized that she wasn't human and that she was, without a doubt, a vampiress.

"But don't worry," Lilith threw in at the last moment, her voice reassuring. "It didn't come from any human so you've got nothing to fear." Her smile brightened. She was quite pleased with her efforts to calm any nervous fears he might have had of her...even if he wasn't happy with the answer she had just given him.
