The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. You can read more about the event on the plotting page here and information page here!

I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.

For a band of thieves, they aren't very thief-y. Night Wolves aren't a division like shadow/blood/scavenger. Night Wolf bands are made up of all three, and go on night raids, robbing and thieving in the dead of night. muahaha!

The laugh felt like it was appropriate there.

So it's easy to choose both Shadow Wolf and Night Wolf. I have a lot of catching up to do on threads and characters. I'll be updating the Soot Wolf roster momentarily.

As a group yeah, definitely. I meant more that the players and threads weren't very.

The Soot Wolves are more a complicated criminal organization though. Like the mafia. Their actions are criminal, but they protect their territory fiercely, and they treat everyone fairly. Still criminals of course. This is why I went with 'group of rogues' rather than thieves. They are associated with most all crime. Thievery, drugs, smuggling, hustling, swindling, robbing, sabotage, protection rackets, etc. We just don't like sex crimes, exploitation of the youth (though that may be hypocritical(it's mostly focused on a dislike of child prostitution)), and outright assassination(that's the purview of another guild(though they are inactive, it's already been written into the history and ideals of the Soot Wolves). Soot Wolves do their best not to kill unnecessarily after all.

I need to look through the Arca threads to see if there is anything there that the Wolves need to be concerned with.

I don't know if Zoë has been around here, but I'mma talk to her on skype or League, to see if she's interested in comin' around agian. Anyone else I need to reach out to?

I know some of you have new characters to add. I'd be glad to thread out their joining events, or to discuss the event if you rather jump right into them already being a wolf, or talk about their history if they've been a wolf for a while. Also, feel free to make NPC's to add to the NPC list, just post all the relevant info on them.

Is there anything else that I've missed that I need to take care of?



UPDATE: Just added two NPCs to the list. Performers/prostitutes/spies that I introduced a bit back and never put in. They are free to be used, just don't kill them off. :P Also added Zahi to the missing list and put in the new Red Jackal.

If the "Missing In Action" section is for characters missing and not just for characters whose players are missing :), then Spot should also be moved down to MIA.

Also, the thread is completely now, but just FYI for @Aeytrious, Spot and Jarrett might have killed a few Soot Wolves. Oops.

I'll move her post haste, and it's okay to kill Soot Wolves. I kill them all the time. We just gotta keep the reusable NPCs alive, unless we have a good reason to kill them off. I'm not particularly attached to too many of them. I put them there for anyone to use though. :D And you say the thread is complete? well then I'll have to note that on the timeline.

Hi, I currently don't have any characters that would fit this guild but I am working on an idea for one, with a couple others to follow. Keep in mind this won't be for some time as I got a lot of other RP activities to do here and a quest thread I need to get started soon.

But anyway, hows about a trap specialist? His skills would be all trap related, knowledge of them, crafting and disarming them, etc. Not sure where he would go though. He would be based in Arca and most likely stay in the HQ with the others as a trap maker and sell trap kits to a shop keeper within the guild itself. And sometimes go on operations that might require his services dealing with traps. I don't plan on him having any actual combat skill, though I might be persuaded to give him a little skill, but not much. His focus is not combat after all, more a functional role.

The other two I am tossing here are a halfling escape artist and a rogue/shadowblade. Just curious if these ideas would fly.

I think a character like this would totally fit into the Soot Wolves! (Also, I love this idea!!) My Soot Wolf Spot (a Shadow Wolf and thief) has no real combat training, so I don't think that has to be a skill every Wolf has.

This was actually more in response to your comment that you needed to check what was going on in Arca re: what the Soot Wolves would be interested in. :D

Fighting skills are indeed not something all Soot Wolves have. Some are simply pickpockets or spies. Blood Wolves all have fighting skill though, they are the internal policing force of the Soot Wolves, and require combat knowledge. Shadows and Scavengers though don't all fight. There are also those Soot Wolves that don't belong to any of the three divisions. The majority of the Soot Wolves would actually either be Scavangers or not belong to a specialized group. Like Alko the Bartender. He's not part of any internal Soot Wolf division. Many of the Wolves that perform a single job are not a part of a division either. So trap maker could easily fall into that category.

Well, he's not just a trap maker. He is also able to disarm traps, flag traps, and a number of other things that relate to traps. Again, don't know when I will get a profile up for him but he would come first before the other 2 that I have in mind.

Sounds like a pretty cool Shadow Wolf, Star! A specialist!

So yeah life kind of dragged me away this year, but Klein kept poking my face until I posted something, and now I'm hooked again! I haven't seen some familiar faces from before, who's still running Wolves here?
