NUmbly she ran, scooping up her hero while muttering a slew of words. The darkness clinging to him made her blanch, but she felt she had dealt with worse- even though this was something that made feelings beyond her blood, curdle. But she knew fate rested in this man, and were hope to be snuffed out so soon......
Would this wicked blackness consume more than just these beasts?
Dragging Enzo aside, while the creature collapsed and fought to breath, she took homage beneath the shadows and cradled Enzo close. He felt so cold, and though she muttered so many prayers- she knew not if they'd be in vain.
But the next time she closed her eyes and opened them-
she felt heavy- like lead, and could smell the salt of the sea.
Sitting up with a start, she looked around to realize- she was back in Canador! And though she had returned home, Enzo, she noted- was no where to be seen.
