Hello! Clockwork's the name, and hopefully RPing will soon be my game! I'm actually quite new to forum roleplaying, and I can't wait to try it out! I already have some characters that I've made, so hopefully i'll be able to jump right in once I understand how things work around here. Let's see... Oh, yes! If you're wondering, some of my interests include writing (I consider myself to be a good author, but only time will tell!), playing video games, and hopefully soon RPing! I have always been a fan of the fantasy genre, and just so happened upon this site while looking for some fantasy themed online games to play! Here's to the hope that my stay here will be super fun!

Hey there and welcome, Clockwork!  I hope you find yourself right at home here!  This is as good a place to start for fantasy thread-based rp, as any.  But if you want my opinion, it's certainly among the best of them.  You have near complete freedom to make any kind of creation you want, so long as it doesn't break story canon, and just have fun with it!

I hope you have a great time here!  And I look forward to seeing what you create!

Hello back!

Welcome to SotE!  We're generally a pretty insane friendly crew, so please feel free to ask us any questions either in the Question Area or in the chatbox as questions come up!  Like Lion said, though, most ideas work very well in the setting, because it's fantasy and almost anything goes!

Once you get a character set up, you can post him or her up in the Plotting Center to find threads!

The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.
