The bored one

Its amazing how fast the weather can change. One hour before the sky was clear and crisp as any other beautiful day. By the time the present had come around a veil of dark rain clouds had already made its trek across the sky. The welcoming feel of the air was replaced a clingy muggy sensation and air so thick a person almost felt like they were underwater. Then the drops came, large and strangely warm as they plopped onto house and street, young and old, steadily picking up its pace until the collective sound became a roar on every roof in the area.

It was in this rain that he came. He had no name besides what he was feeling, and at the moment all he was feeling was boredom. He felt bored, so that was who he was, The Bored One. He fell from the clouds with the rain, the bits of strange material that made up his body mimicked their shape and texture as he splashed onto the road of some back alley one drop at a time. His body was not human; it was some strange experiment gone awry so far back in time that his mind hardly remembered the man who turned him into this.

tendrils of mist seeped from the puddles that he was making and danced together into the shape of a small man in a cloak of barely five feet in height. His strength had been leeched from the fall, so he couldn't form a full body just yet, but the bored one felt that simulating some clothing with his matter and making it look like he was covered head to toe would be enough for now. He would let the rest of him slumber inside the temporary animated fabric to regain his energy.

His body could mimic whatever he wished, as long as he had the focus and stamina to do it. A human form would take much more energy than he needed to simply explore the town, especially when visibility was hampered from the heavy rainfall. He began to walk out of the alley as his solidification reached its end, tendrils of mist turning to thread and finishing off the cloak that covered his haphazard body.
