Draconian

( @Conquistador  !)

He was late.

Adalia tapped her foot against the ground and looked at the setting sun.  Maybe it was a scam? Licking at her lips she crossed her arms over her chest and closed her eyes for a moment, shifting her stance and again, just generally being unhappy. This was a last resort.

Did it count as running away if you were an adult?

There were few belongings and she knew they'd expect her to leave by some faster means of travel - which is exactly why she wasn't. It would take a few weeks, maybe longer, maybe shorter? She didn't know. Either way, she'd get to Adela eventually. Which is why she'd hired the Adelan man.

Who was late.

They'd agreed on him being here at dusk. Dusk was happening and nothing. Fixing the hood that covered her bright opal hair, Adalia leaned against the wall and mostly just pouted. Life wasn't going the way she'd envisioned it for herself. Another tap at the ground with her foot and she squeezed her hands into fists, displeased. Irritated. She wanted to go now.

"C'moooon. I don't have all day," She whined to nothing, leaning against the bricked wall and letting her head drop forward.  They would realize she's gone when they locked the gate of her home, then they would look for her and it wouldn't be pretty when they found her. If they found her.

Which they wouldn't if that damn guide would show up already so they could leave.  It didn't occur to Adalia that he wasn't actually late, she was just impatient.
