HistoryEllis is the scion of a small, yet very old, family of Serendipity. He grew up on a tiny ramshackle estate and was envious of children with prettier homes and less eccentric families. As a boy Ellis was bent on becoming mage-knight, but hated military life. His temperament proved more suited to magical research and he settled into that life nicely.
Fueled by a perfectionist nature he sees magic as a way to smooth the rough edges of the world.
